3000-3999

 

3034, GP38-3, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1964, #29265, FN 7727-6, as Denver & Rio Grande Western 3034, Class DE B-B 62, a GP35.  It was retired on October 3, 1991, and sold to Omnitrax in January 1995.  It was leased as Great Western Leasing Corp 3034 and was to be sold as Central Oregon & Pacific 3034 in 1999.  It was not delivered and rebuilt at Loveland as CEFX 3034 in October 1999.

3048, GP38-3, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1965, #29973, FN 7776-10, as D&RGW 3048, Class DE B-B 62, a GP35. It was rebuilt by Electro-Motive in May 1971 after a wreck and later given Class EF425D-2. It was rebuilt as a GP38-3 by Omnitrax in January 1999 and came to DGNO in March 1999. It was returned to Omnitrax in July 1999 and became CEFX as 3048 in October 1999.

3054, SD40-2, was built by General Motors in June 1972, #A2652, FN C349-20, as Canadian National 5608, Class DRF-30h.  It was rebuilt by GEC Alstom as GCFX 3054 and sold as CEFX 3054.  It was sold as Norfolk Southern 3502, Class SD40-2, in July 2013.

3059, SD40u, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1971, #7375-1, FN 7375-1, as Southern Ry 3186.  It was assigned as Norfolk Southern 3186, Class SD40, but sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 3186.  It was rebuilt as GCFX 3059.  It became CEFX 3059 in 2008.

3062, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1971, #7324-25, FN 7324-25, as Union Pacific 3107, Class SD40-2.  It was retired on October 26, 1988, and sold to Precision National Corp as PNL 3107 on November 30, 1988.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Corp as NREX 3107 in 1997.  It was sold to GEC-Alstom and rebuilt as GSFX 3062 on September 1, 2000.  It was sold as CITX 3062 and sold as Lake State Ry 6301 in December 2013.

3063, SD402, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1966, #31268, FN 7846-6, as Chicago & North Western 872. It was retired on November 26, 1991, and sold as NREX 872.  It was rebuilt as GCFX 3063 in 1999 and sold as CITX 3063.

3070, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1971, #37429, FN 5781-4, as  Soo Line 753, SD40.  It was retired on August 30, 1999, and sold as NREX 753 in 1999.  It was rebuilt at Alstom Canada and became GEC-Alsthom GCFX 3070 on September 8, 2000.  It was sold CITX 3070 and sold as Wheeling & Lake Erie 6993 in February 2016.

3076, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1971, #37425, FN 5781-2, as Soo Line 751, SD40.  It became Canadian Pacific 751 and sold to Alstom and rebuilt as 3076 GCFX 3076.  It became CITX 3076 in 2008 and sold to Residco as OFOX 3076 in 2014.

3077, SD40u, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1971, #37431, FN 5781-7, as Soo 756.  It was sold to Alstom in 2000 and rebuilt as GCFX 3077.  It became CEFX 3077 in 2008.

3079, SD40u, was built by General Motors in September 1966, #A2143,  FN C314-11, as Canadian Pacific 5510, Class DRS-30a.  It was rebuilt by Alstom in 2000 as GEC-Alsthom 3079 and resold as CEFX 3079 in 2008.

3084, SD40u, was built by General Motors in December 1966, #A2160, FN 314-28, as CP 5527, Class DRF-30a.  It was sold to East Coast Motive Power in 1999 and rebuilt by Alstom in 2000 as GCFX 3084.  It was resold as CEFX 3084 in 2008.

3086, SD40u, was built by General Motors in September 1966, #A2144, FN C314-12, as CP 5511, Class DRS-30a.  It was sold to East Coast Motive Power in 1999 and rebuilt by Alsthom in 2000 as GEC-Alsthom 3086 and resold as CEFX 3086 in 2008.

1st 3092, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1976, #766032-4, FN 766032-4, as Chicago & North Western 6929.  It became Union Pacific 3092, Class SD40-2, on December 13, 1995, and retired on October 31, 2000.  It was sold as CEFX 3092.  It was sold to RailAmerica in November 2011.

2nd 3092, SD40u, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1966, #32042, FN 7909-4, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 1706, Class 1700.  It was renumbered 5006, Class 5000, in April 1970 and was rebuilt at San Bernardino in November 1981.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 6306, Class SD-40, on September 13, 1998.  It was sold to GEC-Alsthom as GCFX 3092 in 2001 and sold as CEFX 3092 in 2008.

3093, SDP40, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1966, #31595, FN 7870-4, as Great Northern 323, Class SDP-40.  It became Burlington Northern 9853, Class SDP-40, in 1970 and renumbered 6397, Class SD-40, on April 15, 1974.  It was renumbered 1976 in May 13, 1975, and renumbered 6397 on January 14, 1978.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 6325, Class SDP-40, in August 1998 and sold to GEC-Alstom in November 2000.  It was rebuilt as GCFX 3093 in  2001 and sold as CEFX 3093 in 2008.  It was sold as Gardendale RR 9043 in August 2012.

3094, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1970, #35498, FN 7203-4, as Kansas City Southern 625.  It was sold to Soo Line as 625 in July 1986 and then renumbered 6403.  It later became Canadian Pacific 6303.  It was rebuilt by Alstom in 2000 as GCFX 3094 on October 18, 2000, and sold to CIT Financial as CITX 3094.  It was sold to Motive Power Resources in December 2013 and sold to Watco as WAMX 4200 in April 2014.

3096, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1966, #31551, FN 7361-61, as Southern Pacific 8479, Class EF630-1, SD40.  It was rebuilt at Sacramento as 7342, Class EF630R-1, on December 17, 1980, and retired on July 17, 1997.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on April 17, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom in 2000 as SD40-2.  It became GCFX 3096 and sold as CEFX 3096 in 2008.

3101,  SD40u, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1966, #31520, FN 7861-30, as SP 8439, Class EF630-1.  It was rebuilt as 7381, Class EF630R-1, in July 1981 and rebuilt to GEC- Alstom as GCFX 3101.  It was sold as CEFX 3101 and sold to WATCo as WAMX 4226 in November 2017.

3102, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1966, #31536, FN 7861-46, as SP 8455, Class EF630-1,  SD40.  It was rebuilt as 7369, Class EF630R-1, in May 1981, and retired on April 30, 1999.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999.  It was sold and rebuilt as GCFX 3102 in 2000.  It was sold as CEFX 3102.  It was sold as Fort Worth & Western RR 2023 "Hood County" in September 2013.

3106, SD40u. was built by General Motors in January 1970, #A2403, FN C333-16, as Canadian National 5114, Class GF-30h.  It was retired on October 17, 1998, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co 5144.  It was rebuilt as CEFX 3106.

3112, SD40M-2, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1966, #31522, FN 7361-32, as SP 8441, Class EF630-1.  It was rebuilt as SP 7341, Class EF639R-1, in December 1980 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as CEFX 3112 as SD40M-2.

3113, SD40M-2, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1967, #32769, FN 7954-11, as Southern Pacific 8855, Class EF636-2, as SD45.  It was rebuilt in January 1982 as 7421, Class EF636R-2.  It was rebuilt by Alsttom as CIT Finanacial Group CEFX 3113, SD40M-2.  It was sold as Louisville & Indiana 3002 in December 2017.

3116, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1967, #32798, FN 7954-40, as SP 8884, Class EF636-2, as SD45.  It was rebuilt in July 1982 as 7447, Class EF636R-2. It was retired in April 31, 1999, and sold to Boise Locomotive September 30, 1999. It was rebuilt as CEFX 3116.

3117. SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1967, #32802, FN 7954-44, as SP 8888, Class EF636-2, as SD45. It was rebuilt in July 1982 as 7448, Class EF636R-2. It was retired on May 10, 1997, and sold to Boise Locomotive on April 15, 1999. It was rebuilt as CEFX 3117.

3118, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1967, #32846, FN 7797-39, as SP 8932, Class EF636-3, as SD45.  It was rebuilt as 7471, Class EF636R-1  It was sold to Boise Locomotive and rebuilt as CEFX 3118.

3119, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1966, #32019, FN 7887-29, as SP 8828, Class EF636-1, as SD45.  It was rebuilt in October 1981 as 7407, Class EF636LR-5, and was retired on April 30, 1999.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999, and rebuilt at Alstom as CEFX 3119.

3120, SD40-3, was built in by Electro-Motive in May 1967, #32827, FN 7971-20, as SP 8913, Class EF636-2.  It was rebuilt as February 1983 as 7467, Class EF636LR-5, and retired on April 30, 1999.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive and rebuilt as CEFX 3120.  It was sold as Fort Worth & Western 2024 in June 2013.

3129, SD403, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1967, #32783, FN 7954-24, as SP 8869, Class EF636-2.  It was rebuilt in August 1982 as 7455, Class EF636LR-5, and retired on April 30, 1999.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999, and rebuilt as  CEFX 3129, SD40-3.

3131, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1967, #32800, FN 7954-42, as SP 8886, Class EF636-2. as SD45.  It was rebuilt in August 1982 as 7453, Class EF636LR-5.  It was retired on April 30, 1999, and sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999.  It was rebuilt by Alsthom as CIT 3131.

3133, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1966, #32027, FN 7887-37, as SP 8836, Class EF636-1.  It was rebuilt on April 30, 1982 as 7434, Class EF636LR-5, and retired on April 30, 1999,  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on November 9, 1999, and sold to Alstom Canada.  It was rebuilt as SD40M-2 as CEFX 3133 on January 31, 2001.  It sold to First Union Rail as SBTX 3133 and sold to Watco as WAMX 4201 in 2014.  It was assigned as Blue Ridge Southern RR.

3134, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1967, #32831, FN 7974-24, as SP 8917, Class EF636-2.  It was rebuilt in April 1984 as 7503, Class EF636L2-5.  It was retired on April 30, 1999, and sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999.  It was rebuilt by Alsthom as CIT 3134.  It was sold as Maryland Midland RR 3404 and renumbered 3449 in 2014.                  

3136, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1967, #32759, FN 7954-1, as SP 8845, Class EF636-2, as SD45.  It was rebuilt in December 1981 as 7416, Class EF636LR-5, and retired on April 30, 1999,  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999, and was later rebuilt at Alston as CEFX 3136.

3137, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1969, #34412, FN 7138-51, as SP 9044, Class EF636-4, as SD45.  It was rebuilt at Sacramento in November 1983 as 7485, Class EF636-R2, and retired on June 30, 1999.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999 and was rebuilt at Alston as CEFX 3137.  It was sold as MMID 3405 and renumbered 3450 in 2014.

3140, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1967, #32796, FN 7954-38, as SP 8882, Class EF636-2. as SD45.  It was rebuilt in July 1982, as 7446, Class EF636LR-5.  It was retired on February 28, 1999, and sold to Boise Locomotive on September 30, 1999.  It was rebuilt as CEFX 3140.

3141, SD40-3,was built by Electro-Motive in October 1966, #32512, FN 5722-7, as AT&SF 1836, Class 1800, SD45.  It was renumbered 5536, Class 5500, in 1970 and rebuilt at San Bernardino in August 1983 as 5365, Class 5304.  It was sold as Morrison Kmudsen Corp 5365 in 1994 and then to Helm Leasing Corp as 5365 in May 1996.  It was rebuilt as CEFX 3141 on February 21, 2001.

3143, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1966, #32543, FN 5722-38, as AT&SF 1867, Class 1800, SD45.  It was renumbered 5567, Class 5500, in 1970 and rebuilt at San Bernardino in January 1983 as 5348, Class 5304.  It was sold as MK 5348 in 1994 and then to Helm as 5348 in May 1996.  It was then rebuilt as CEFX 3143 on February 21, 2001, as a SD40-3.

3145, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1966, #32508, FN 5722-3, as AT&SF 1832, Class 1800, SD45.  It was renumbered 5532, Class 5500, in 1970 and rebuilt at San Bernardino in September 1983 as 5366, Class 5304.  It was sold as MK 5366 in 1994 and then to Helm as 5366 in May 1996.  It was rebuilt as CEFX Financial 3145 on February 21, 2001.

3148, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1967, #32843, FN 7971-36, as SP 8929, as Class EF636-2, SD45.  It was rebuilt in May 1983 as 7473, Class EF636LR-2 and retired on April 30, 1999, and sold to Boise Locomotive Co on September 30, 1999.  It was rebuilt as CEFX 3148, SD40-3.  It was sold as MMID 3406 and renumbered 3451 in 2014.

3151, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1967, #32777, FN 7954-19, as SP 8863, Class EF636-2, SD45.  It was rebuilt in January 1982 as 7424, Class EF636LR-5, and retired on April 30, 1999.  It was rebuilt at Alstom as CEFX 3151.

3152, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1967, #32821, FN 7971-14, as SP 8907, Class EF636-2. It was rebuilt at Sacramento as 7520, Class EF636LR-1, in August 1984 and retired on January 29, 1999.  It was sold to Boise Locomotive Co  and rebuilt by Alsthom  for CIT Finanacial Group as CEFX 3152.

3158, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1978, #776064-2, FN 776064-2, as Missouri-Kansas-Texas 601.  It became Union Pacific 3810 on February 16, 1989, and retired on November 29, 2000.  It was sold to as CEFX 3158 and sold as Terminal RR of St Louis 3005 in 2012.

3160, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1980, #796305-9, FN 796305-9, as MKT 627.  It became UP 3835, Class SD40-2, on September 21, 1990, and retired on May 24, 2001.  It was sold to National Ry Equipment Co and sold as CEFX 3160.  It was sold to Motive Power Resources in 2013 and sold as Bay Line 3400 in April 2014.

3161, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1979, #786218-12, FN 786218-12, as UP  8076, Class SD40-2M.  It was renumbered 3585, Class SD40-2, in October 1981 and retired on February 7, 2001.  It was sold as CEFX 3161 and sold as TRRA 3006 in 2012.

3172, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1980, #796297-82, FN 796297-82, as UP 3740, Class SD40-2.  It was retired on August 31, 2000, and sold as CEFX 3172.

3175, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1978, #786166-28, FN 786166-28, as Burlington Northern 7102, Class SD40-2.  It was sold as HLCX 7102 and sold as CEFX 7102.  It was rebuilt as CEFX 3175 and renumbered CITX 3175.

3182, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1978, #786166-39, FN 786166-39, as BN 7113, Class SD40-2. It was assigned Burlington Northern Santa Fe 7113, Class SD40-2, and sold as CEFX 7113 in December 1999.  It was rebuilt by Alstom as CEFX 3182.

3186, SD40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1978, #786166-26, FN 786166-26, as BN 7100, Class SD40-2.  It was assigned as BNSF 7100, Class SD40-2, and sold as CEFX 7100 in December 1999.  It was rebuilt by Alstom as CEFX 3186.

3801, GP38-3, was built in Electro-Motive in September 1969, #35271, FN 5744-14, as Cincinnati New Orleans & Texas Pacific (Southern Ry) 2741, GP38. It was sold to LLP 2741. It was rebuilt at VMV in 1998, GP38-3, and leased to RailTex in 1998. It became Indiana & Ohio as 3801 and became CB&CNS. It served in DG&NO and sold as CEFX 3801 in 2011.  It was sold as Vermont Ry 3801 in 2011 and renumbered 206 in 2012.

3805, GP38-3, was built by Electro-Motie in October 1967, #33342, FN 7060-25, as Baltimore & Ohio 3824, Class GP-38.  It was later 2024 and then became CSX Transportation 2024, Class GP-38.  It was retired on January 21, 1997, and sold to Locomotive Leasing Partners on April 19, 1997.  It was shipped to VMV on May 2, 1997 and rebuilt as GP38-2 as I&O 3805 in October 1997.  It was transferred as Central Oregon & Pacific 3805 and sold as CEFX 3805 in 2011.

3811, GP38-3, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1969, #35256, FN 7189-11, as Southern Ry 2726, a GP38.  It was sold as Locomotive Leasing Partners 2005.  It was rebuilt at VMV in 1998, GP38-3, as CORP 3811 and sold as CEFX 3811 in 2011.

3812, GP38M-2, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1969, #35269, FN 5744-12, as Southern 2739. GP38.  It was sold as LLPX 2007 and rebuilt by VMV as New England Central  3812.  It as assigned as Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia  and not lettered.  It was assigned as Dallas Garland & NorthEastern 3812 and lettering was removed.  It was sold as CEFX 3812 in 2011.

3814, GP38AC, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1971, #36081, FN 5766-3, as Gulf Mobile & Ohio 723.  It became Illinois Central Gulf 9542 and became IC 9542.  It was sold as Helm Leasing Co HLCX 3676 and sold as Indiana Rail Road 3676.  It was planned as 33 but renumbered 3812.  It was sold as  CITX 3814.  It was sold as Louisiana & North West 3814 in March 2018.

3864, GP38-3, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1966, #31677, FN 7876-12, as Chicago Milwaukee St Paul & Pacific 191, Class 30E-RS, a GP40. It was renumbered 2000 in 1968 and was assigned Soo Line RR 4604 in 1985. It became Soo 2000 and was retired in March 1989,  It was sold as General Motors Leasing 194 in April 1989 and became Locomotive Leasing Partners 2501 and sold as Central Oregon & Pacific 3864.  It was sold as CEFX 3864 in November 2011.
