Electro-Motive SD40, SD40A Diesels

737, SD40, Was built in April 1969, #34890, FN 7169-2.  It was sold to Broadway Motors in 1998 and scrapped in 2006.

738, SD40, was built in April 1969, #34891, FN 7169-3.  It was retired on September 27, 2004, and stored.

739, SD40, was built in April 1969, #34892, FN 7169-4.  It was retired and stored.

741, SD40, was built in May 1969, #34894, FN 7169-6.  It was retired in December 2003 and sold for scrap to Mandak Metals on May 30, 2004.

742, SD40, was built in May 1969, #334895, FN 7169-7.  It was retired and sold to Broadway Motors in 1998.  It was sold to Helm Leasing as HLCX 742.

745, SD40, was built in May 1969, #34898, FN 7169-10.  It was sold as National Ry Equipment Co 745 in 2004 and rebuilt as St Ann Jamaica Bauxite Partners 5111, SD38-3, in October 2008.

746, SD40, was built in March 1970, #36099, FN 7241-1.  It was sold for scrap to Mandak Metals on November 16, 2003.

747, SD40, was built in March 1970, #36100, FN 7241-2.  It was sold for scrap to Mandak Metals on October 5, 2003.

748, SD40, was built in March 1970, #36101, FN 7241-3.  It was retired and stored.

751, SD40, was built in May 1971, #37425, FN 5781-2.  It became Canadian Pacific 751 and sold to Alstom and rebuilt as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 3076.  It became CIT-Financial Group CITX 3076 in 2008 and sold to Residco as OFOX 3076 in 2014.

753, SD40, was built in May 1971, #37429, FN 5781-4.  It was retired on August 30, 1999, and sold as NREX 753 in 1999.  It was rebuilt at Alstom Canada and became GCGX 3070 on September 8, 2000.  It was sold as CITX 3070 and sold as Wheeling & Lake Erie 6993 in February 2016.

756, SD40, was built in May 1971, #37431, FN 5781-7.  It was sold to Alstom in 2000 and rebuilt as GCFX 3077.  It became CITX 3077 in 2008.

6400, SD40, was built in June 1970, #35495, as Kansas City Southern 622. It was sold to Soo as 622 in August 1986 and then renumbered 6400. It later became Canadian Pacific 6400. It was rebuilt by Alstom in 2000 as GCFX 3095.

6401, SD40, was built in June 1970, #35946, FN 7203-2, as KCS 623. It was sold to Soo as 623 on July 19, 1986, and then renumbered 6401. It was retired and sold to Helm Leasing and rebuilt by Alstom as First Union Rail 3000.

6402 was built in June 1970, #35947, FN 7203-3, as KCS 624. It was sold to Soo as 624 in July 1986 and then renumbered 6402. It was retired and sold to Helm and rebuilt by Alstom as GCFX 3071.

6403. SD40, was built in June 1970, #35498, FN 7203-4, as KCS 625.  It was sold to Soo as 625 in July 1986 and then renumbered 6403.  It later became CP 6403.  It was rebuilt by Alstom in 2000 as GCFX 3094 on October 18, 2000, and sold to CIT Financial as CITX 3094.  It was sold to Motive Power Resources in December 2013 and sold to Watco as WAMX 4200 in April 2014.

6404, SD40, was built in June 1970, #35493, FN 7196-1, as KCS 626.  It was sold to Soo as 626 in July 1986 and then renumbered 6404.  It later became CP 6404 and stored by Alstom.

6405, SD40, was built in June 1970, #35494, FN 7197-1, as KCS 627.  It was sold to Soo as 627 in July 1986 and then renumbered 6405.  It later became CP 6405 and sold to Mandak Metals for scrap on May 30, 2004.

6406, SD40A, was built in January 1970, #35685, FN 5748-1, as Illinois Central Gulf 6019. It went to Helm Leasing as 5019 in 1985 and then to Soo as 6406. It later became CPR 6406.

6408, SD40A, was built in January 1970, #35687, FN 5748-3, as ICG 6021. It went to Helm as 5021 in 1985 and then to Soo Line as 6408. It later became CPR 6408.

6411, SD40, was built in April 1969, #34778, FN 7159-4, as Baltimore & Ohio 7500, Class SD-40.  It was returned to General American Transportation on May 29, 1984, and sold as Morrison Knudsen Co 7500 in July 1984.  It was sold as Soo Line 6411 in February 1988 and transferred as CPR 6411 in April 1994.  It was rebuilt at Ogden as SD40-3 and sold as Dakota Minnesota & Eastern 6096 in May 2001.
