Electro-Motive GP9 Diesels

5905, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1954, #20187, FN 5379-5.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as South Carolina Central RR 5905 in 1987.

5913, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1954, #20195, FN 5379-13.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Arkansas-Oklahoma RR 5913.  It was sold to Indiana Box Car Co 5913 in 2008.

5924, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1955, #21197, FN 5424-16.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold to Luntz Steel Corp.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as Illinois Central Gulf 8280 in November 1973.  It was sold to Paducah & Louisville 8280 and renumbered 8341.

5926, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1955, #21199, FN 5426-19. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was transferred to Baltimore & 0hio 5926, Class GP-9, on August 1, 1969. It was retired on August 8, 1983 and sold to Electro-Motive on March 12, 1984. It was sent to scrap on Naporano Iron & Metal on April 11, 1986.

5936, Class MRSE-17, was built in August 1955, #20653, FN 5402-8.  It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and was transfered on August 1, 1969, to B&O 5936, Class GP-9.  It was sold to Electro-Motive in August 1985.

5940, Class MRSE-17, was built in August 1955, #20849, FN 5413-3.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and became Western Maryland 5940, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was sold as Western Maryland Scenic RR 5940.  It was sold to Jack Showalter as Virginia Central 40 and leased to Shenandoah Valley RR.  It was sold as Durbin & Greenbriar Valley RR 40 in 2007 and renumbered back to 5940 in December 2017.

5943, Class MRSE-17, was built in August 1955, #20852, FN 5413-6. It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and was transferred on August 1, 1969, to B&O 5943, Class GP-9. It was assigned CSX Transportation 0276 and retired on October 24, 1986. It was sold to Colleton County Ry as 5943 on October 25, 1986, and was taken into Hampton & Branchville as 5943 on January 24, 1988.

5952, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1955, #20862, FN 5413-15.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and became Western Maryland 5952, Class GP-9 in April 1976.  It was traded to Electro-Motive in 1984.

5955, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1955, #20864, FN 5413-18.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and became WM 5955, Class GP-9 in April 1976.  It was assigned CSX Transportation It was later sold to Intermountain Transportation Services as 172 and then purchased by Railtex and assigned to Austin & NorthWestern as 172. It came to Dallas Garland & NorthEastern 172 in May 1996. It was rebuilt by C&F Locomotive Service as a slug relettered HHLC 172 with no info on the name.  It was then sold as Rochester & Southern 807.

5969, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1955, #20878, FN 5413-32.  It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8445 in 1974.  It was sold as P&L 8445 and transferred as VMV Enterprises 8445.  It was rebuilt at P&L 1798.

5985, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1955, #21032, FN 5420-7.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold for scrap to Midwest Steel & Alloy in March 1987.

5992, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1955, #21040, FN 5420-15.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Buffalo & Pittsburgh 209.  It was transferred as Huron Central Ry 209 in July 1997.

5999, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1955, #21183, FN 5426-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as R J Corman RR 9008.

6001, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1955, #21185, FN 5426-4.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 as sold as Seminole Gulf RR 574 in 1987.  It was wrecked.

6006, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1955, #21190, FN 5426-9.  It was reclassified Class GP-9, in 1964 and sold as BPRR 202.

6008, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1955, #21192, FN 5426-11.  It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8442 on February 8, 1974.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment on March 28, 1994.

6011, Class MRSE-17, was built in March 1956, #21489, FN 5448-3.  It was reclassified in 1964 as Class GP-9 and later sold to Alabama & Florida as 6011. Under Pioneer Rail it was renumbered 902 and later sold to EconoRail as 6011.

6014, Class MRSE-17, was built in March 1956, #21492, FN 5448-6.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and transferred as B&O 6014, Class GP-9, on May 12, 1978.  It was assigned as CSX 0331, Class GP-9, but retired in 1987.  It was sold as SGLR 575 in 1987.

6019, Class MRSE-17, was built inMarch 1956, #21497, FN 5448-11.  It was reclassified in 1964 as Class GP-9 and sold to Precision National Corp as PNCX 1702.  It was sold as Material Transportation Inc 1702.

6025, Class MRSE-17, was built in March 1956, #21503, FN 5448-17. It was reclassified in 1964 as Class GP-9 and later was sold to the Hampton & Branchville as 6025.

6029, Class MRSE-17, was built in March 1956, #21507, FN 5448-21.  It was reclassified in 1964 as Class GP-9 and rebuilt as CSX 1019, Class SWMT.  It was renumbered 1067.

6042, Class MRSE-17, was built in April 1956, #21532, FN 5448-34.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and assigned as CSX 0352, Class GP-9.  It was retired in 1987 and sold as SGLF 573.

6055, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21692, FN 5453-7.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and traded in to Electro-Motive in 1983.

6061, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21698, FN 5453-13.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and traded in to Electro-Motive in 1984.

6066, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21703, FN 5453-18. It became Class GP-9 in 1964. It went to Huron & Eastern in 1989 as 101 "County of Similac" and was sold to Idaho Northern & Pacific as 101 in November 1993. In 1994 it was sold to the Port of Tillamook Bay RR as 101.

6070, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21707, FN 5453-22.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964.  It was sold as R J Corman RR 9002.

6075, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21712, FN 5453-27.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as PNCX 1703.  It was sold as Iowa Interstate 1703 in June 1988.  It was renumbered 303 in 1987 and sold to Power Source Supply Inc as PWSX 303 in May 2005.

6080, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21717, FN 5453-32.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was sold to Luntz Steel Co. It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1974 as Illinois Central Gulf 8295.

6081, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956m #21718, FN 5453-33.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers in June 1982.

6083, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21720, FN 5453-35.  It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and later sold to Farmrail as 6083 "Osage".

6085, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #21722, FN 5453-37.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold to Rail Switching Services as RSSX 6085 and renumbered 102.  It was sold as Bay Line RR 512.

6092, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #22093, FN 5473-4.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and rebuilt at Paducah as Illinois Central 7993 in 1973.  It was sold as Paducah & Louisville 8315.  It was sold as Independent Locomotive Service 1391.  It was leased to Dakota Northern RR.

6093, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #22094, FN 5473-5.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964.

6094, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1956, #22095, FN 5473-6.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Alabama & Florida RR 6094 in August 1986.

6099, Class MRSE-17, was built in July 1956, #22100, FN 5473-11.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Huron & Eastern 100.  It was resold as Southern RR of New Jersey 100.

6128, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1956, #22036, FN 5467-20.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and transferred as B&O 6677, Class GP-9, on July 24, 1968.  It was assigned CSX 0677, Class GP-9, but retired on March 18, 1988.  It was sold to Steel Processing Corp in June 1988 and sold to National Railway Equipment as BPRR 207 in December 1988.  It was sold as Finger Lakes Ry 207 in August 1998 and renumbered 1751 in August 1999.

6135, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1956, #22043, FN 5467-27.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and transferred as B&O 6135. Class GP-9, on September 5, 1978.  It was sold West Virginia Railroad Maintenance Authority and assigned as South Branch Valley 6135 on November 8, 1984.

6142, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1956, #22050, FN 5467-34.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as HESR 102.  It was sold as Idaho Northern & Pacific 102 in November 1993 and returned as HESR 102 in 1994.  It was sold to Western Rail Inc as WRIX 102 in 1995 and sold to Smoky Hill Railway & Historical Society as SHRX 102 in 1996.

6144, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1956, #22052, FN 5521-1.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Buffalo & Pittsburgh 206.  It was sold to Progress Rail Service as PRSX 206 in 2005.

6149, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1956, #22057, FN 5521-6.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold to Morrison Knudsen.  It was rebuilt at Boise in August 1994, #0392-2, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 1201, Class 1200.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 1201, Class MK1200G, on August 12, 1998, and retired in September 2012.

6152, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1956, #22060, FN 5521-9.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as East Cooper & Berkeley SC01 and became South Carolina Public Rys as 1.  It was resold as Reemes & Son Co 1.

6158, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1956, #22066, FN 5468-1. It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and rebuilt as United States Army 1867.

6160, Class MRSE-17, was built in September 1956, #22541, FN 5497-2. It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and later sold to Luntz Steel. It was rebuilt at Paducah in October 1973 as ICG 8204 and later rebuilt as USA 1880.

6164, Class MRSE-17,  was built in September 1956, # 22545, FN 5496-6.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was later sold to Luntz Steel Co.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in October 1973 as ICG 8220.

6173, Class MRSE-17, was built November 1956, #22556, FN 5509-7. It was reclassified in 1964 and later was sold to Tennessee Southern RR as 6173.

6174, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1956, #22557, FN 5509-8. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was later sold to Luntz Steel Co. It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1974 as ICG 8219.

6178, Class MRSE-17, was built in November 1956, #22561, FN 5509-12.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Indiana & Ohio 63.  It was sold Chillicothe-Brunswick Rail Authority as 63 in 1999 and resold as Progressive Rail Inc 63 in 2005.  It was sold as Black Hills Central 63 in 2008.

6179, C;ass MRSE-17. was built in November 1956, #22562, FN 5509-13.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Prairie Trunk RR 679 in 1987.  It was sold as Huron & Easterm RR 103 in 1989 and became Idaho Northern & Pacific 103 in 1993.  It went as South Central Tennessee 103 in 1994 and went as Octoraro RR 103.  It became Delaware Valley RR 105 and returned as HESR 103.

6203, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1956, #22586, FN 5509-37. It became Class GP-9 in 1964.

6204, Class MRSE-17, was built in December 1956, #22587, FN 5509-38.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and rebuilt at Paducah as Illinois Central 7997 in 1973.  It was sold as South Central Florida Express 9015.

6210, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1957, #23369, FN 5542-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964, and later sold as Kiamichi RR 901.  It later was sold as Rio Valley Switching Corp 4101.

6213, Class MRSE-17, was built in June 1957, #23372, FN 5542-5.  It became Class GP-9 in 1965 and was transferred as B&O 6213, Class GP-9, on September 8, 1978.  It was assigned as CSX 0213 but retired on August 20, 1987.  It was sold as Seminole Gulf RR 572 in October 1987 and retired by July 2000.

6226, Class MRSE-17, was built in July 1957, #23385, FN 5542-18.  It became Class GP-9 in 1965 and sold as Wiregrass Central RR 6226 and transferred as Gulf & Ohio RR 6226.  It was sold as Mississippi Delta RR 6226.

6229, Class MRSE-17. was built in July 1957, #23388. FN 5542-21.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Precision National Corp 1706 in July 1973.  It was sold to Chicago & North Western and rebuilt as 4452, GP7, on May 14, 1980.  It was retired on October 15, 1990, and sold as St Louis Iron Mountain & Southern Ry 4452.  It was sold as Illinois Transit Assembly Corp 4452 and became Gateway Rail Services 4452.

6239, Class MRSE-17, was built in August 1957, #23501, FN 5544-1.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964.

6253, Class MRSE-17 , was built in August 1957, #23515, FN 5544-15.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as Standard Elkhorn Mining Co 6253.  It was sold as Branham & Baker Coal Co 6253 and sold as Millard Processing Corp 25.
