Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad
AOK provides freight operations over a 70-mile line of railroad owned by the State of Oklahoma between Howe, OK to a connection with UP at McAlester, OK. AOK has leased industrial tracks owned by UP at McAlester, OK. AOK has leased the 36-mile Shawnee Branch from UP running from Shawnee, OK to a connection with UP near Oklahoma City. AOK also switches the Midwest City Automobile Logistics Facility
The AOK started operation on the Howe to McAlester line on March 3, 1996. This was a Rock Island line that the State of Oklahoma purchased. AOK started operations on UP’s leased track on August 1, 1997. AOK started operation on the Shawnee Branch on July 7, 2000
332, C420, was built by Alco in August 1967, #3490-09, as Monon RR 515. It became Louisville & Nashville 1332, Class C-420, and sold to Indiana Hi-Rail as 1332 in 1986 and later renumbered 332. It was later sold to Indiana Box Car Co as 332 and then AOK as 332.
352, RS11, was built by Alco in June 1960, #83590, as Seaboard Air Line 102. It became Seaboard Coast Line 1204 in July 1967 and later L&N 952, Class RS-11, in August 1976. It was sold as IHR 952 in 1986 and later renumbered 352. It was sold as IBCX 352 in 1986 and leased as Carroll County RR 352 in 1997. It was returned shortly and later leased as AOK 352.
365, C420, was built by Alco in June 1965, #3418-15, as SAL 124. It became SCL 1226 in July 1967 and later L&N 1365, Class C-420, in August 1976. It was sold to IHR as 1365 in 1986 and later renumbered 365. It was later sold to IBCX as 365 and then AOK as 365.
536, SW1, was built by Electro-Motive on April 24, 1942, #1685, FN E475-8, as Chicago Rock Island & Pacific 536. In October 1976 it was sold to Producers Grain Co which became part of Agri Industries. It was sold as AOK 536 in February 2009.
567, B40-8W, was built by General Electric in March 1992, #46913, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 567, Class 500. It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 567, Class Dash8-40BW, in March 2003 and sold to Sterling Rail on October 12,2010. It was sold as AOK 567 in 2010.
578, B40-8W, was built by General Electric in March 1992, #46924, as AT&SF 578, Class 500. It became BNSF 578, Class Dash8-40BW, in September 1996 and retired on October 12, 2010. It was sold as AOK 578 in 2010.
581, B40-8W, was built by General Electricin March 1992, #46927, as AT&SF 581, Class 500. It became BNSF 581, Class Dash8-40BW, in May 2003 and sold to Sterling Rail on October 12, 2010. It was sold as AOK 581 in 2010.
1050, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1956, #20798, FN 5409-43, as Illinois Central 9160. It was rebuilt at Paducah in February 1972 as Illinois Central Gulf 8160. In April 1986 it went to Mid South Rail as 8160 and was later renumbered 1050. Later it went to AOK as 1050.
2010, SW8, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1951, #15005, FN 7008-11, as U S Army 2010, Class D-SD-8, for service in Korea. After the armistice, it was brought back to the US and used at various military facilities until it was sold as surplus.
2402, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1962, #27189, FN 7622-3, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 1202, Class 1200. It was renumbered 3202, Class 3200, in 1970 and rebuilt at Cleburne in August 1983 as 2702, Class 2700. It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 2402, Class GP30, in July 1999 and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co in August 2011. It was sold as A-OK 2402 in March 2013.
2411, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1962, #27198, FN 7622-12, as AT&SF 1211, Class 1200. It was renumbered 3211, Class 3200, in 1970 and rebuilt at Cleburne in January 1983 as 2711, Class 2700. It became BNSF 2411, Class GP30, in February 1998 and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment in August 2011. It was sold as A-OK 2411 in March 2013.
2442, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1963, #28065, FN 7642-8, as AT&SF 1242, Class 1200. It was renumbered 3242, Class 3200, in 1970 and rebuilt at Cleburne as 2742, Class 2700, in April 1984. It became BNSF 2442, Class GP30, on October 15, 1999 and sold as LTEX 2442 in 2012. It was sold as AOK 2442 in March 2013.
2443, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1963, #28066, FN 7642-9, as AT&SF 1243, Class 1200. It was renumbered 3243, Class 3200, in 1970 and rebuilt at Cleburne as 2743, Class 2700, in July 1982. It became BNSF 2443, Class GP30, on June 27, 1999, and sold as LTEX 2443 in 2012. It was sold as A-OK 2443 in March 2013.
3112, B23-7, was built by General Electric in February 1978, #41809, as Seaboard Coast Line 5112. It later became Seaboard System 5112 and later became CSX Transportation 3112, Class B23-7. It was sold to IBCX 3112 and rebuilt as AOK 3112 in 2006.
3133, B23-7, was built by Generak Electric in September 1978, #42127, as SCL 5133. It later became SBD 5133 and later became CSX 3133, Class B23-7. It was sold as IBCX 3133 and rebuilt as AOK 3133 in 2006.
3160, B23-7, was built by General Electric in August 1978, #42066, as Consolidated Railroad Corp 1953, Class B23-7. It was sold as CSX 3160, Class B23-7 and sold as IBCX 3160. It was sold for parts to AOK in 2006
4012, B23-7, was built by General Electric in March 1981, #43370, as Cincinnati New Orleans & Texas Pacific (Southern) 4012. It was sold as AOK 4012 in 2007.
4059, B23-7, was built by General Electric in March 1979, #42308, as Conrail 1970, Class B23-7. It was sold as Norfolk Southern PRR 4059, Class B23-7, in 1999 and sold as AOK 4059 in 2005.
4061, B23-7. was built by General Electric in March 1979, #43211, as Conrail 1973, Class B23-7. It was sold as NS PRR 4061, Class B23-7,in 1999 and sold as AOK 4061 in 2005.
4062, B23-7, was built by General Electric in March 1979, #42312, as Conrail 1974, Class B23-7. It was sold as NS PRR 4062, Class B32-7, in 1999 and sold as AOK 4062 in 2005. It was sold to Great Western Ry (Canada) as GWRS 4062 in March 2013.
4064, B23-7, was built by General Electric in April 1979, #42314, as Conrail 1976, Class B23-7. It was sold as NS PRR 4064, Class B23-7, in 1999 and sold as AOK 4064 in 2005. It was sold as GWRS 4064 in March 2013.
4093, B23-7S, was built by General Electric on June 7, 1972, #38401, as Western Pacific 2255, a U23B. It was assigned Union Pacific 524, Class U23B, in December 1982 but was retired on November 19, 1987. It was sold to General Electric in February 1988 and rebuilt as Monongahela Ry 2301, B23-7S, in October 1989. It became Conrail 2031, Class B23-7S, and became NS PRR 4093. It was sold as AOK 4093.
4098, B23-7S, was built by General Electric in June 1972, #38406, as WP 2260, a U23B. It was assigned UP 529 in December 1982 but was retired on November 19, 1987. It was sold to General Electric in 1988 and rebuilt as MGA 2308, B23-7S, in October 1989. It became Conrail 2038, Class B23-7S, and became NS PRR 4098. It was sold as AOK 4098.
4510, GP35 was built by Electro-Motive in February 1965, #29930, FN 7774-31, as Southern Ry 2675. It was leased as Wheeling & Lake Erie 2675 and sold as Idaho Northern & Pacific 4510 in 1994. It was sold to Motive Power Resources Inc as MVPX 4510 in 2012 and sold as AOK 4510 in March 2013.
5913, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1954, #20195, FN 5379-13, as Chesapeake & Ohio 5913, Class MRSE-17. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and sold as AOK 5913. It was sold to IBCX 5913 in 2008.
