Paducah Rebuilt Electro-Motive GP Diesels 8100-8199

8100, GP9u, was built in March 1955, #20179, FN 5378-33, as IC  9100.  It was rebuilt by Paducah in October 1971 as ICG  8100 and sold as Gulf & Mississippi 8100.  It was sold as  MidSouth Rail 1078 and later sold as Rail Switching Services 1078.

8101, GP9u, was built in March 1955, #20180, FN 5378-34, as IC 9101.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1970 as 8101 and sold as McCoy Elkhorn Coal Corp 8101.

8103, GP9u, was built in May 1954, #18821, FN 5307-25, as IC 9024.  It was rebuilt by Paducah in 1970 as 8103 and sold as Paducah & Louisville as 8103 in 1986.  It was rebuilt as 8308 and sold to Canac International Inc as CANX 8308 in 2002.  It was sold to Diesel Locomotive Co as DLCX 8308 in 2011.

8104, GP9u, was built in March 1956, #20263, FN 5380-22, as IC 9104. It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1975 as 8104 and later sold to Gulf & Ohio as 8104.

8107, GP9u, was built in March 1955, #20286, FN 5383-5, as IC 9107.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8107 in December 1969. It later became MidSouth Rail 8107 and was later renumbered 1028. It was sold to SP Construction Services as 700 and later sold to Ohio Central as 700.  It was then sold to Eastern Illinois RR as 700. 

8109, GP9u, was built in January 1958, #23867, FN 5553-58, as IC 9367. It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8109 in March 1978 and later sold to VMV.  It later became Meridian & Bigbee RR 107 and renumbered 1717 in 2013.  It was renamed as M&B RR 1717 and transferred as Louisiana & Delta RR 1717..

8110, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20773, FN 5409-18, as IC 9135.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8110 in December 1974 and sold as Mountain Laurel RR 12 in February 1992.  It was sold as Louisiana & Delta RR 12 in January 1997 and renumbered 1850 "Evangeline".

8113, GP9u, was built in April 1955, #20292, FN 5383-11, as IC 9113.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1969 as 8113 and sold as Iowa Interstate RR 8113 in October 1984.  It was renumbered 413 in 1987 and sold to Power Source Supply Inc as PWSX 413 in May 2005.

8115, GP9u, was built  in April 1955, #20294, FN 5383-13, as IC 9115.  It was rebuilt by Paducah in June 1971 as IC 8115 and later sold as Gulf & Mississippi 8115.  It was later sold as MidSouth Rail 8115 and later renumbered 1064.  It was sold to Omnitrax as Carlton Trail Ry 1064 and transferred as Okanagan Valley Ry 1064 in 1998.  It was transferred as Central Kansas Ry 1064 in 2000 and then as Carlton Trail Ry 1064 in 2001.

8119, GP9u, was built in December 1954, #19903, FN 5359-14, as IC 9061.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in February 1975 as ICG  8119 and sold to VMV.  It was sold as MLRR 13 in 1991 and sold as LDRR 1851.  It was renumbered 1709 in February 2010.

8120, GP9u, was built in February 1955, #20164, FN 5378-18, as IC 9085. It was rebuilt at Paducah in March 1973 as ICG 8120 later sold to MSR as 8120. It was later renumbered 1004. It was sold to OmniTrax as 1004 in 1997 and transferred to Carleton Trail Ry as 1004.

8121, GP9u, was built in December 1955, #20759, FN 5409-4. as IC 9121.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8121 in August 1970 and later became Chicago Central & Pacific 8121.

8126, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20796, FN 5409-41, as IC 9158.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in May 1968 as IC 8158 and rebuilt in April 1977 as 8126.  It was sold to Farmrail Corp as 8126 on March 31, 2005.

8128, GP9u, was built in December 1955, #20766, FN 5409-11, as IC 9128.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in July 1972 as 8128.  It was sold to MSR in April 1986 and later renumbered 1033.  It was sold to SP Construction Services as 702 and later sold to Ohio Central as 702. It was sold to Motive Rail Inc as MRIX 702.

8131, GP9u, was built in February 1955, #20169, FN 5378-28, as IC 9090. It was rebuilt at Paducah in February 1975 as 8131 and later sold to Kentucky May Coal Co as 8131.

8136, GP9u, was built in January 1958, #23858, FN 5553-59, as IC 9358. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8136 in April 1977 and later sold to Gulf & Ohio as 8136 in March 24, 1994.   

8137, GP9u, was built in December 1958, #25022, FN 5591-1, as IC 9370. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8137 in October 1974. It was sold to MSR in April 1986 and later renumbered 1037.

8140, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20778, FN 5409-23, as IC 9140.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8140 in November 1970. It later became MSR 8140 and was renumbered 1027. It was retired.

8150, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20788, FN 5409-33, as 9150.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8150 in June 1970. It later became CC&P 8150 and was renumbered 1750.  It was sold as Maumee & Western RR 12 and resold as Wabash Central RR 12 in 2006.

8152,  GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20790, FN 5409-35, as 9152.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8152 in June 1972. It later became MSR 8152 and was renumbered 1029. It later was sold to VMV in June 1993.

8154, GP7u, was built in November 1951, #14239, FN 5091-2, as St Louis-San Francisco 558.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG  8154 in April 1974 and sold as Paducah & Louisville 8154.

8155, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20793, FN 5409-38, as IC 9155.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8155 in August 1972. It later became MSR 8155 and was renumbered 1014.

8156 (GP9u) was built in February 1954, #19217, FN 5321-B12, as Union Pacific 141B.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in May 1977 as ICG 8156.  It was sold to VMV on September 18, 1995.

8157 (GP9u) was built in January 1996, #20795, FN 5409-40, as IC 9157. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8157 in February 1974.

8160 (GP9u) was built in January 1956, #20798, FN 5409-43, as IC 9160. It was rebuilt at Paducah in February 1972 as 8160. In April 1986 it went to Mid South Rail as 8160 and was later renumbered 1050. Later it went to Arkansas-Oklahoma RR as 1050.

8163 (GP9u) was built in January 1956, #20801, FN 5409-46, as 9163.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8163 in April 1971. It later became CC&P 8163 and was renumbered 1743.  It was returned as IC 8417 and retired on September 5, 1998.  It was sold to Railcar Limited as RMPX 8417 on March 3, 2000.

8168 (GP9u) was built in April 1954, #18805, FN 5307-9, as 9008.  It was rebuilt by Paducah in April 1974 as ICG 8168.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co.

8170 (GP9u) was built in January 1956, #20808, FN 5409-53, as 9170.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8170 in February 1971. It became CC&P 8170 and was renumbered 1770.  In March 1999 it was sold to Hollis & Eastern as 8170 and sold to Mountain Cement Co as MCTZ 8170 in September 2011.

8173 (GP9u) was built in January 1956, #20811, FN 5409-56, as IC 9173.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8173 in October 1972 and sold to VMV in January 1992.

8175 (GP9u) was built in January 1956, #20813, FN 5409-58, as IC 9175.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8175 in August 1970 and wrecked on May 20, 1984.

8177 (GP9u) was built in January 1956, #20815, FN 5409-60, as IC 9177.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8177 in May 1970 and sold as MidSouth Rail 9177.  It was renumbered 1036.  It was rebuilt as Kansas City Southern 1906W, GP10B, in 2005 and renumbered 906 in 2008.

8178 (GP9u) was built in December 1955 #20764, FN 5409-9, as IC 9126.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8178 in March 1977 and sold to C&F Locomotive on March 15, 2000.  It was sold to RailCar Limited as RMPX 8178,

8180, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20818, FN 5409-63, as IC 9180. It was rebuilt at Paducah in February 1972 and renumbered 8180. It kept the same number when acquired as Farmrail  8180 "Creek".

8181, GP9u,  was built in January 1956, #20819, FN 5409-64, as IC 9181.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in December 1971 and renumbered 8181 and became Chicago Central & Pacific 8181.  It was returned as IC 8408 in 1996 and plinthed at Homewood, IL.

8183, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20821, FN 5409-66, as IC 9183.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in April 1972 and renumbered 8183.  It was sold as Paducah & Louisville 8183 and renumbered 8348.  It was resold as Canac International 8348.

8184, GP9u, was built in January 1956, #20822, FN 5409-67, as IC 9184.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in April 1971 as 8184.  It was sold in April 1986 as MidSouth Rail 8184 and renumbered 1032.

8186 (GP9u) was built in January 1958, #23865, FN 5553-66, as IC 9365. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8186 in July 1974 and sold to Motive Power Industries on March 17, 1998.  It was rebuilt as MP1500D MPEX 1505.

8189, GP9u, was built in December 1956, #22274, FN 5480-2, as IC 9189.  It was rebuilt by Paducah in October 1972 as ICG 8189 and sold as PAL 8302.

8191 (GP9u) was built in December 1956, #22276, FN 5420-2, as IC 9191.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1969 as 8191.  It was sold in April 1986 as MidSouth Rail 8191 and renumbered 1057.  It was retired.

8192 (GP7u) was built in April 1953, #17739, FN 6496-13, as IC 8980. It was rebuilt at Paducah in January 1970 as 8192 and later sold to MidSouth Rail as 8192. It was later renumbered 1001.

8194, GP9u, was built in December 1956, #22279, FN 5480-7. as IC 9194.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in July 1970 as 8194.  It was sold as Chicago Central & Pacific 8194 and renumbered 1794.
