Tennessee Southern RR
This railroad operates two former Louisville & Nashville branch lines out of Columbia.
201, CF7, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1949, #8929, FN E1234-A10, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 221C, Class 200, an F7A. It was retired in December 1, 1972, and was rebuilt at Cleburne as 2579, Class 2417, in December 1973. It was sold to Indiana Rail Road as 201 and later became TSRR as 201 in 1990 and sold to Railway Service Contractors Inc as MJRX 201 in 2005.
523, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1962, #27356, FN 5637-2, as Norfolk & Western 523. It was sold in February 1992 as Pielet Brothers in February 1992 and later sold to TSRR as 523.
1726, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1957, #22771, as Northern Pacific 288. It became Burlington Northern 1726, Class GP-9, in 1970 and was retired in March 1991. It was sold to Pielet Brothers in May 1991 and later sold to TSRR as 1726.
2329, S-4M, was built by Alco in December 1951, #79496, as Louisville & Nashville as 2229, Class S-10. It was rebuilt in 1965 as 2329 and later sold to TSRR as 2329.
2506, CF7, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1949, #7748, FN E1095-A3, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 203L, Class 200, an F7A. It was rebuilt at Cleburne as 2506, Class 2417, in August 1974, and was sold as Indiana Rail Road 2506. It was resold as TSRR 2506.
2558, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1962, #27429, FN 5636-34, as Southern Ry 2558. It was sold to Pielet Brothers in January 1992 and sold as TSRR 2558. It was sold as Bountiful Grain & Craig Mountain RR 2558 in 2006.
2593, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1963, #28563, FN 7669-9, as Southern 2593. It was sold as TSRR 2593 and sold as BGCM 2593 in 2006.
2968, SD35, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1965, #29856, FN 7761-27, as Southern Pacific 4842, Class DF-503. It was renumbered 6926, Class EF625-1, in 1966 and rebuilt as 4707, Class EF620-LR-1, in 1977. It was renumbered 2968 in 1990. It was sold as TSRR 2968 and sold to Railway Service Contractors as MJRX 2968 in 2005. It was sold as Kodiak Mining Co 2306.
3100, 44 Ton, was built by General Electric in June 1950, #30460, as Nashville Chattanooga & St Louis 100, Class DGE-400. It became Louisville & Nashville 3100, Class S-4, in August 1957 and retired in July 1961. It was sold to Transportation Services and sold as TSRR 3100. It was sold as Cowan Railroad Museum 100 in 2007.
3156, B23-7, was built by General Electric in June 1978, #41945, as Consolidated Railroad Corp 1938, Class B23-7. It was sold as CSX Transportation 3156, Class B23-7, and sold as Tennessee Southern RR 3156.
(4528), SD35, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1964, #29037, FN 7713-3, as Atlantic Coast Line 1002. It became Seaboard Coast Line 1902 in July 1967 and became Louisville & Nashville 7025, Class SD35, in 1977. It was renumbered 1279 and became Seaboard System 1279 in January 1983. It was renumbered 4528 in 1984 and became CSX Transportation 4528, Class SD35, in June 1986. It was sold for parts to TSRR in 2000.
6173, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1956, #22556, as Chesapeake & Ohio 6173, Class MRSE-17. It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and was later sold to TSRR where it retained the same number.
6583, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1958, #24367, FN 5568-12, as Baltimore & Ohio 6583, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX Transportation 583, Class GP-9. It was retired on January 9, 1987, and sold as TSRR 6583. It was shipped off on May 10, 1988, and later sold to Indiana Box Car Co. It was assigned to Vermilion Valley RR as VVRM 5620 in 2006.
7317, SD18, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1963, #27615, FN 7630-18, as C&O 1817, Class MRSE-18. It was reclassified Class SD-18 in 1964 and renumbered 7317 in 1970. It was sold as TSRR 7317 and sold as Indiana RR 7317 in 1994. It was sold to Indiana Box Car Co as IBCX 7317 in 2003.
