Electro-Motive SD40M-2 Diesels


7399, Class EF630-LR2, was built in September 1966, #32028, FN 7887-38, as 8837, Class EF636-1, SD45.  It was rebuilt in November 1981 as 7399, Class EF630-LR2, and sold to VMV in 1998.  It was rebuilt as Union Pacific 4766, a SD40M-2, on September 4, 1999, and renumbered 2816 on September 10, 2001.  It was later Locomotive Leasing Partners 2816 on June 6, 2002.

8575 was built in March 1967, #32637, FN 7945-14, as Chicago & North Western 914, SD45. It was retired on September 25, 1987, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1989. . It was later sold to Morrison-Knudsen as 914 and then rebuilt by MK on May 13, 1994 as SP 8575. It was assigned Union Pacific 4601 in September 1997 and became UP 2651 on January 17, 2002.

8576 was built in February 1967, #32628, FN 7945-5, as C&NW 905, SD45.  It was retired on October 10, 1989, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1994.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on May 27, 1994, as SP 8576.  It was retired and sold to Sterling Rail Corp in 2010.

8582 was built in January 1969, #34584, FN 7148-15, as C&NW 951, SD45. It was retired on September 25, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989. It was later sold to MK as 951 and then rebuilt by MK as SP 8582.  It was assigned UP 4618 and became UP 2658, Class SD40M-2, on September 25, 2003.  It was wrecked at Momence, IL, on November 24, 2005, and scrapped on sight on December 15, 2005.

8584 was built in March 1969, #34909, FN 7170-6, as SP 9074, Class EF636-5, SD45.  It was sold as National Railway Equipment Co 9074 in 1987 and rebuilt by MK Rail as 8584 on May 4, 1994.  It  became UP 2658 on March 12, 2008.

8585 was built in December 1969, #35767, FN 7217-7, as SP 9130, Class EF636-6, SD45.  It was sold as NRE 9130 in 1989 and rebuilt by MK Rail as 8585 on May 10, 1994.  It became UP 2661 on March 26, 2003, and sold as Huron & Eastern RR 2661 in May 2012.

8586 was built in February 1967, #33021, FN 7970-4, as St Louis-San Francisco 910.  It became Burlington Northern 6659, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on September 30, 1986.  It was sold to Soo Line RR as 6492 in March 1987 and retired in June 1992.  It was sold to Chrome Locomotive in March 1993 and sold to Morrison Knudsen.  It was rebuilt as SP 8586 on May 27, 1994.  It was assigned as UP 2662, but never renumbered. 

8587 was built in November 1971, #5794-10, FN 5794-10, as BN 6552, Class SD-45.   It was rebuilt by MK Rail on June 6, 1994, as SP 8587 and became UP 2663, Class SD40-2, on January 29, 2003.

8589 was built in March 1970, #35788, FN 7217-28, as SP 9151, Class EF636-6, SD45.  It was sold as National Helm Leasing 6550 in February 1988 and rebuilt as SD40M-3 on June 18, 1994, as SP 8589.  It was renumbered as UP 2665, Class SD40-2  on June 19, 2001.

8590 was built in April 1969, #34920, FN 7170-17, as SP 9085, Class EF636-5, SD45.  It was sold as NRE 9085 in 1987 and rebuilt by MK Rail as SP 8590 on June 25, 1994, as SD40-3.  It became UP 2683 on October 24, 2003, and sold as NREX 2683.  It was sold to WATCo as WAMX 4244 in 2019..

8592 was built in December 1966, #31841, FN 5703-2, as Atlantic Coast Line 1025.  It became Seaboard Coast Line 2001 in May 1976 and Seaboard System 2001 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8901 in 1984 and became CSX Transportation 8901, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV Enterprises 8901 and rebuilt by MK Rail on December 30, 1994, as SP 8592, as SD40M-2.  It was assigned as UP 4614 and became UP 2668, Class SD40M-2, on September 10, 2001.  It was sold  as Huron & Eastern RR 2668 in May 2012.

8593 was built in September 1968, #34168, FN 7123-6. as SCL 2015, a SD45.  It became SBD 2015 and then was renumbered 8915.  It later became CSX 8915, Class SD-45 and sold as VMV 8915.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on July 18, 1994, as SP 8593.  It was assigned as UP 4615 and became UP 2669, Class SD40M-2, on April 17, 2004.

8594 was built in October 1971, #37728, FN 5784-14, as SCL 2037, a SD45.  It became SBD 2037 and then renumbered 8937. It later became CSX 8937, Class SD-45, and was sold as VMV 8937.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on July 21, 1994, as SP 8594.  It was assigned UP 4620 and became UP 2670 on October 24, 2005.

8596 was built in October 1971, #37733, FN 5784-19, as SCL 2042, a SD45.  It was transferred as Clinchfield RR 3629 and became SBD 3629.  It was renumbered 8942 and became CSX 8942, Class SD45.  It was sold as VMV 8937 and rebuilt by MK on November 28, 2001, as SP 8596.  It was assigned UP 4618 and became UP 2672 on November 28, 2001.

8597 was built in October 1968, #34170, FN 7123-8, as SCL 2017, a SD45. It became SBD 2017 and then renumbered 8917. It later became CSX 8917, Class SD-45, and later was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1994 as SP 8597. It was assigned UP 2673 in September 1997 but retired before it was numbered.

8599 was built in September 1968, #34166, FN 7123-4, as SCL 2013, SD45. It became SBD 2013 and was later renumbered 8913. Then it became CSX 8913, Class SD-45, and was later rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in 1994 as SP 8599.  It was assigned UP 4621 in September 1997 and became UP 2675, Class SD40M-2, on August 31, 2005.

8600 was built in December 1966, #31840, FN 5703-1, as  Atlantic Coast Line 1024.  It became SCL 2000 in May 1976 and SBD 2000 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8900 in 1984 and became CSX 8900, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV Enterprises 8900 and rebuilt by MK Rail on August 27, 1994, as SP 8600, as SD40M-2.  It was assigned as UP 4626 and became Union Pacific 2676, Class SD40M-2, on January 23, 2003.  It was sold to Citicorp Railmark Inc as CREX 2676 in 2012.

8601 was built in December 1966, #31848, FN 5703-9, as ACL 1032.  It became SCL 2008 in May 1976 and SBD 2008 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8908 in 1984.  It became CSX 8908, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold as VMV 8908.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on August 22, 1994, as SP 8601 and became UP 2677 on August 28, 2003.  It was sold as CREX 2677 in 2012.

8602 was built in September 1968, #34169, FN 7123-7, as SCL 2016.  It became SBD 2016 and then was renumbered 8916,  It later became CSX 8916, Class SD-45, and later rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen on August 30, 1994, as SP 8602.  It was assigned UP 4624 in September 1997 and became UP 2678, Class SD40M-2, on July 20, 2000.

8607 was built in January 1968, #33836, FN 7993-33, as Pennsylvania RR 6212, Class EF-36, SD45.  It became Penn Central 6212, Class EF-36, in 1968, and became Consolidated Railroad Corp 6212, Class SD-45, in April 1976.  It was sold as Chicago & North Western 6535 on March 31, 1983.   It was retired in 1994 and sold to National Railway Equipment as June 1994.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8607, SD40M-2, on September 30, 1994, and became UP 2666, Class SD40M-2, on October 24, 2003.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 2666.

8608 was built in December 1967, #33822, FN 7993-19, as PRR 6188, Class EF-36, SD45.  It became PC 6188, Class EF-36, in 1968 and became Conrail 6188, Class SD-45, in April 1976.  It was sold as C&NW 6515 on March 31, 1983.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in June 1994 and rebuilt by MK Rail on September 30, 1994, as SP 8608.  It became UP 4634 on August 28, 1997, and renumbered as 2684 on March 26, 2001.

8612 was built in January 1969, #34551, FN 7147-1, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 516, SD45. In 1970 it became Burlington Northern 6457, Class SD-45, and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to C&NW and became 6576 on August 12, 1984. It was sold to National Ry Equipment in June 1994 as 6576 and then was rebuilt as SP 8612, SD40M-2, on September 8, 1994.  It then was assigned UP 4658 and became UP 2688 on January 21, 2004.

8613 was built in January 1968, #33850, FN 7993-47, as PRR 6226, Class EF-36, SD45.  It became C&NW 6226, Class EF-36, in 1968, and became Consolidated Railroad Corp 6226, Class SD-45, in April 1976.  It was sold as Chicago & North Western 6549 on March 30, 1983.  It was sold  to National Railway Equipment Co in June 1994 and was rebuilt by MK Rail on November 18, 1994 as SP 8613.  It was assigned UP 4659 and assigned UP 2689.

8616 was built in January 1968, #33863, FN 7090-5, as PRR 6208, Class EF-36.  It became PC 6208, Class EF-36, in 1968 and became Conrail 6208, Class SD-45.  It was sold to C&NW as 6532 on March 29, 1983, and retired in 1994.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment in June 1994.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8616, SD40M-2, on December 15, 1994, and assigned as UP 4642.  It became UP 2692 on March 20, 2002.

8618 was built in July 1968, #33792, FN 7088-8, as Great Northern 425, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6455, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in October 1983.  It was sold to C&NW and became 6574 on February 5, 1984.  It was retired November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on January 11, 1995, as SP 8618, a SD40M-2.  It was assigned UP 4644 and became UP 2694 on November 25, 2003.

8619 was built in July 1971, #37128, FN 5773-23, as BN 6520, Class SD-45.  It was retired in February 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co inn January 1988.  It sold to Morrison Knudsen as MKCX 9531 and rebuilt on January 19, 1995 as SP 8619, a SD40M-2.  It was assigned UP 4645 and became UP 2695 on August 24, 2001.

8620 was built in August 1970, #36798, FN 7279-5., as BN 6496, Class SD-45.  It was sold to Azcon Corp in December 1986 and resold as National Helm Leasing Co 6496 in March 1987.  It was sold as MKCX 9529 and rebuilt at Hornel as 8620, SD40M-2, on January 24, 1996.  It became 2696. Class SD40M-2, on April 15, 2004.  It was retired on October 12, 2010, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co  as NREX 2696 in April 2014.

8622 was built in August 1970, #36380, FN 7261-20, as BN 6491, Class SD-45.  It was retired in June 1985 and sold as C&NW 6491 in October 1985.  It was retired on November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on November 11, 1994, as SP 8622, a SD40M-2.  It was assigned 4648 and became UP 2698, on December 17, 2003.

8625 was built in March 1966, #31414, FN 7865-1, as Union Pacific 3000, SD40,  It was retired on February 9, 1987, and sold to National Ry Equipment as NHL 3000 in November 1987.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen as assigned 9403 in 1994 but rebuilt by MK in February 24, 1995, as SP 8625.  It was assigned UP 4651 and became UP 2701 February 5, 2002.

8628 was built in August 1966, #31940, FN 7907-5, as Chesapeake & Ohio 7461, Class SD-40, SD40.  It was renumbered 7561 in December 1973 and became CSX Transportation 8412, Class SD-40.  It was sold as VMV 8412 and rebuilt by MK Railas SP 8628 on August 20, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4654 and assigned 2704 but was wrecked on June 21, 2000.

8630 was built in September 1966, #32148, FN 5710-8, as Clinchfield RR 3007.  It became Seaboard System 8282 in January 1983 and renumbered 8341 in 1984.  It became CSX Transportation 8341, Class SD-40, in April 1987.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail as SP 8630 on May 21, 1994, and became UP 2706, Class SD40M-2, on January28, 2003.

8631 was built in March 1966, #31428, FN 7865-15, as UP 3014, Class SD40, SD40. It was sold to Helm Leasing on March 17, 1993, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8631 on May 13, 1994. It was assigned UP 4657 but retired.

8634 was built in January 1970, #35730, FN 7214-6, as Missouri Pacific 759, SD40.  It was renumbered 3059 and assigned  Union Pacific 4059 but retired on August 21, 1991.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment on October 9, 1991, and sold to Morrison Knudsen.  It was rebuilt as SP 8634 on May 27, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4669 and became UP 2710 on October 17, 2003.

8635 was built in March 1966, #31422, FN 7865-9, as UP 3008, Class SD40.  It was retired on October 8, 1992, and sold to National Railway Equipment in August 1993.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen in January 1994 and rebuilt by MK Rail as SP 8635 on June 3, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4661 and became UP 2711, Class SD40M-2, on January 6, 2004.

8636 was built in October 1966, #32104, FN 7914-4 as Kansas City Southern 603, SD40.  It was sold to MK as 603 in July 1990 and rebuilt by MK as SP 8636 on June 11, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4662 in September 1997 and became UP 2712 on February 5, 2003.

8639 was built in March 1971, #35841, FN 7222-2, as KCS 629, SD40.  It was sold to MK as 629 in 1991 and was rebuilt by MK as SP 8639 on July 1, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4665 in September 1997 and became UP 2715 on December 15, 2000.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 2715.

8640 was built in June 1966, #32090, FN 5709-3, as Louisville & Nashville 1227, Class SD-40. It later became Seaboard System RR 1227 in January 1983 and renumbered 8303 in 1984.  It became CSX Transportation 8303, Class SD-40, in April 1986.  It was sold as MK 8303 and rebuilt at Moutaintop in June 1994.  It became SP 8640, SD40M-2, on July 1, 1994, and assigned UP 4666, Class SD40M-2, and became UP 2716 on December 15, 2000.  It was sold as New England Central 2716 in 2011.

8642 was built in March 1971, #38363, FN 7222-5, as KCS 636, SD40. It was sold to MK 636 in 1991 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8642 on July 13, 1994. It was assigned UP 4668 in September 1997 and became UP 2718 on July 27, 2001. It was retired on July 8, 2010.

8643 was built in August 1966, #31930, FN 7886-2, as C&O 7451, Class SD-40, SD40.  It was renumbered 7551 in December 1973 and became CSX 8402, Class SD-40.  It was sold as MK 8402 and rebuilt as SP 8643 on July 13, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4669 and became UP 2718 on July 27, 2001.

8645 was built in March 1967, #32976, FN 7962-9, as MP 708, SD40.  It was renumbered 3008 in March 1974 and later as UP assigned 4008, Class SD40, in July 1985.  It was retired on June 5, 1991, and sold as Helm Leasing 3008.  It was sold as  National Ry Equipment Co 3008 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on July 25, 1994, as SP 8645.  It was assigned Union Pacific 4671, Class SD40M-3, and became UP 2721 on May 29, 2004.  It was returned as NREX 2721.

8646 was built in March 1967, #32977, FN 7962-10, as  MP 709, SD40.  It was renumbered 3009 in March 1974 and was assigned  UP 4009.  It was retired May 18, 1988, and sold as HE 3009 on June 28, 1988.  It was sold as NRE 3009 on March 14, 1989, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on July 27, 1994, as SP 8646.  It was assigned UP 4672 and became UP 2722 on March 14, 2005.

8647 was built in September 1971, #37904, FN 7324-16, as UP 3098, Class SD-40.  It was retired on October 8, 1992, and sold as NRE 3098 in August 1993.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen in January 1994 and rebuilt on July 29, 1994, as SP 8647.  It was assigned UP 4673 and became UP 2723, Class SD40M-2, on March 20, 2003.

8652 was built in January 1968, #33854, FN 7993-51, as Pennsylvania RR 6230, Class EF-36.  It became Penn Central 6230, Class EF-36, in 1968 and became Consolidated Railroad Corp 6230, Class SD-45, in April 1976.  It was sold as Chicago & North Western 6553 on October 19, 1983, and retired on October 10, 1989.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail as SP 8652 on September 21, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4678, Class SD40M-2, in September 1997 and became UP 2728 on May 16, 2005.  It was sold as Missouri & Northern Arkansas 2728 in 2011.

8655 was built in January 1968, #33826, FN 7993-23, as PRR 6192, Class EF-36, SD45.  It became PC 6192, Class EF-36, in 1968, and became Conrail 6192, Class SD-45, in April 1976.  It was sold as Chicago & North Western 6192 but assigned 6519 on April 4, 1983.  It was sold as VMV Enterprises 6192 on October 10, 1989.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail in September 1994 as SP 8655.  It was assigned UP 4681 and became UP 2731.

8658 was built in April 1966, #31577, FN 7868-3, as UP 3027, SD40.  It was retired June 5, 1991, and sold as National Railway Equipment 3027 on October 9, 1991.  It was sold and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8658 on October 3, 1994.  It was assigned UP 4684 and became UP 2734 on December 4, 2003.

8661 was built in February 1970, 35526, FN 7199-6, as Norfolk & Western 1770, SD45.  It was retired in September 1992 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co in December 1993.  It was leased as Wheeling & Lake Erie 1770 and rebuilt by MK Rail on December 9, 1994, as SP 8661.  It was assigned UP 4585 and became UP 2735 on May 9, 2001.

8663 was built in February 1967, #32629, FN 7945-6. as Chicago & North Western 906, SD45.  It was retired and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1994.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on October 7, 1994, as SP 8663 and assigned UP 4689.  It became UP 2739 on November 7, 2003.

8667 was built in January 1969, #34577,FN 7148-8, as C&NW 944, SD45.  It was retired on November 26, 1990, and sold to National Ry Equpment Co in June 1994.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8667 on October 11, 1994, and assigned as UP 4693.  It became UP 2743 on September 19, 2003,  and sold to Citicorp Railmark.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment NREX 2743 on June 30, 2014.

8668 was built in June 1969, #34558, FN 7147-8, as CB&Q 522, SD45. In 1970 it became BN 6463, Class SD-45, and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to C&NW and became 6582 on September 17, 1984. It was sold to NRE in June 1994 as 6582 and then was rebuilt by MK on October 12, 1994, as SP 8668, as SP40M-2.  It was assigned UP 4694 and became UP 2744 on June 12, 2003.  It was retired on October 12, 2010, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co  as NREX 2744 in April 2014.

8669 was built in January 1969, #34560, FN 7147-10, as CB&Q 525  It became BN 6466, Class SD-45, in 1970 and was returned to the leasor in February 1984.  It was sold as C&NW 6585 on September 20, 1984.  It was sold as NREX 6585 in June 1994 and rebuilt by MK on October 14, 1994, as SP 8669, as SD40M-2.  It then was assigned as UP 4695 and became UP 2745 on October 5, 2001.  

8672 was built in February 1969, #34607, FN 7148-37, as C&NW 974, SD45.  It was retired and sold to National Railway Equipment in June 1994.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail as SP 8672, SD40-3, on November 8, 1994, and assigned as UP 4698.   It became UP 2748, Class SD40M-2, on October 14, 2003.

8673 was built in February 1967, #32627, FN 7945-4, as C&NW 904, SD45.  It was retired in 1994 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co in June 1994.   It was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen  in October 1994 as SP 8673. It was assigned UP 4699 in September 1997 but never done..

8676 was built in October 1968, #34176, FN 7123-14. as Seaboard Coast Line 2023.  It later became Seaboard System RR 2023 and was renumbered 8923.  It later became CSX Transportation 8923, Class SD-45.  It was sold to VMV Enterprises as 8923.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail to SD40-2 standards as SP 8676 on November 11, 1994.  It became UP 2752, Class SD40M-2, on December 17, 2003.

8677 was built in October 1971, #37730, FN 5784-16, as SCL 2039. It later became Clinchfield RR 3626 and then SBD 3626. It was renumbered 8939 and later became CSX 8939, Class SD-45. It then went to Morrison-Knudsen and was rebuilt on November 18, 1994, as SP 8677. On June 8, 1998, it became UP 4703, Class SD40M-2,, and was renumbered 2753 on May 2, 2001.

8678 was built in January 1967, #32693, FN 7951-5 as Denver Rio Grande & Western 5319, Class DE C-C98, SD45.  It was reclassified as Class EF636D-1 and retired in December 1993.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen in February 1994 and rebuilt by MK Rail on November 18, 1994, as Southern Pacific 8678.  It was assigned Union Pacific 4704, Class SD40M-2, and became 2754 on May 12, 2000.

8680 was built in March 1968, #33759, FN 7085-3, as D&RGW 5327, Class DE C-C 98.  It was reclassified as Class EF636D-1 and retired in December 1993.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen Corp in February 1994 and rebuilt by MK Rail on November 28, 1994, as SP 8680.  It was assigned UP 4706, Class SD40M-2, and became 2756 on December 5, 2003.  It was retired on October 12, 2010, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 2756 in 2013.

8681 was built in August 1967, #32717, FN 7988-15, as Norfolk & Western 1753, SD45. It was purchased as Springfield Terminal RR as 679 in October 1987. It later was purchased and rebuilt MK in 1994 as SP 8681. It was assigned UP 4707, Class SD40M-2, but was retired.

8682 was built in March 1968, #33931, FN 7106-1, as D&RGW 5337, Class DE C-C 98, SD45.  It was reclassified Class EF636D-2 and retired in December 1993.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen Corp in February 1994 and rebuilt by MK Rail on December 1, 1994, as SP 8682.  It was assigned UP 4708 and became UP 2758 on December 10, 2003.

8688 was built in March 1967, #32979, FN 7962-12, as Missouri Pacific 722.  It was renumbered 3011 in March 1974 and was assigned Union Pacific 4011, Class SD40, in July 1985.  It was retired on November 30, 1988, and sold to VMV Enterprises on February 10, 1989.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on January 30, 1995, as SP 8688.  It was assigned UP 4714, Class SD40M-3, and became UP 2764 on October 15, 2003.  It was sold as NREX 2764.

8690 was built in December 1971, #5794-25, as BN 6567, Class SD-45.  It was the last SD45 built and was retired in December 1986.  It was sold and became Morrison Knudson Corp 9415 and later rebuilt by MK as SP 8690, a SD40-3M, on February 19, 1995.  It was assigned UP 4716 and became UP 2766 on October 5, 2006.

8691 was built in July 1970, #36658, FN 7246-1, as Erie Lackawanna 3654, Class MFE-36D-6A, SDP45. It became Consolidated Locomotive Co 6685, Class SDP-45, in April 1976 and later was sold to VMV Enterprises as 6685. It was then sold and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8691 on December 28, 1994. It was assigned UP 4717 on September 1997 and later became UP 2767 on December 5, 2003.  It was retired on October 12, 2010, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co  as NREX 2767 in April 2014.

8692 was built in August 1970, #36886, FN 7246-15, as EL 3668, Class MFE-36D-6A.  It became Conrail 6699, Class SDP-45, in April 1976 and sold to VMV as 6699.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8692 on December 30, 1994.  It became UP 2768, Class SD40M-2, on November 29, 2000, and retired on October 12, 2010.  It was sold to Citicorp Railmark and sold to National Railway Equipment Co.

8694 was built in August 1970, #36683, FN 7243-12, as EL 3665, Class MFE-36D-6A.  It became Conrail 6696, Class SDP-45, in April 1976 and sold to VMV as 6696.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as 8694 on January 16, 1995, and assigned  UP 2770, Class SD40M-2, but wrecked on November 26, 2007, as Bertram, CA. 

8695 was built in August 1970, #36880, FN 7246-9, as EL 3662, Class MFE-36D-6A, SDP45.  It became Conrail 6695, Class SDP-45, in April 1976 and later sp;d as VMV 6695.  It was sold and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8695 in January 1995.  It was assigned as UP 4721 in September 1997 and became UP  2771 on November 13, 2002.

8700 was built in February 1967, #32624, FN 7945-1, as C&NW 901, SD45  It was retired on October 10. 1989, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on December 28, 1994 as SP 8700.  It was assigned UP 4726, Class SD40M-2, and became UP 2776 on August 3, 2001.

8701 was built in January 1969, #34574, FN 7148-5, as C&NW 941, SD45. It was retired on November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8701 on October 13, 1994, and assigned as UP 4727, SD40M-2, in December 1999.  It became UP 2777 on August 15, 2001.

8702 was built in January 1959, #34573, FN 7148-4, as C&NW 940, SD45.  It was retired on November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8702 on October 22, 1994 and assigned as UP 4728, Class SD40M-2. in December 1999.  It became UP 2778 on May 12, 2003, and retired on October 12, 2010.  It was sold to Citicorp and then to US Bank Equipment Finance.  It was sold to Missouri & Northern Arkansas 2778 in October 2012.

8703 was built in February 1969, #34610, FN 7148-40, as C&NW 977, SD45.  It was retired on September 25, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was sold as MK 977 and rebuilt by MK Rail as SP 8703, SD40-3, on November 5, 1994.  It was assigned as UP 4729, Class SD40M-2, and became UP 2779, Class SD40M-2, on April 3, 2003.

8705 was built in February 1969, #34600, FN 7148-30, as C&NW 966, SD45.  It was retired on November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1989.  It was rebuilt at Boise on November 16, 1994, as SP 8705 and assigned as UP 4731 in December 1999.  It became UP 2781 on November 17, 2000.
