Electro-Motive SD45, SD45-2 Diesels

2000, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31840, FN 5703-1, as  Atlantic Coast Line 1024.  It became SCL 2000 in May 1976 and Seaboard System 2000 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8900 in 1984 and became CSX Transportation 8900, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV Enterprises 8900 and rebuilt by MK Rail on August 27, 1994, as Southern Pacific 8600, as SD40M-2.  It was assigned as UP 4626 and became Union Pacific 2676, Class SD40M-2, on January 23, 2003.  It was sold to Citicorp Railmark Inc as CREX 2676 in 2012.

2001, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31841, FN 5703-2, as ACL 1025.  It became SCL 2001in May 1976 and SBD 2001 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8901 in 1984 and became CSX 8901, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV 8901 and rebuilt by MK Rail on December 30, 1994, as SP 8592, as SD40M-2.  It was assigned as UP 4614 and became UP 2668, Class SD40M-2, on September 10, 2001.  It was sold  as Huron & Eastern RR 2668 in May 2012.

2002, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31842, FN 5703-3, as ACL 1026.  It became SCL 2002 in May 1976 and SBD 2002 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8902 in 1984 and became CSX 8902, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV 8902 and rebuilt by MK Rail to SD40-2 standards as Kansas City Southern 620 in May 1995.  It was assigned as 3106 but retired.  It was sold to Progress Rail Service in 2008 and scrapped.

2003, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31843, FN 5703-4, as ACL 1027. It became SCL 2003 in May 1976  and SBD 2003 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8903 in 1984 and became CSX 8903, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold to VMV as 8903 and  Morrison Knudsen Corp as 9517.  It was sold to Helm Leasing Co as HLCX 6510.

2004, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31844, FN 5703-4, as ACL 1028.  It became SCL 2004 in May 1976 and SBD 2004 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8904 in 1984.  It later became CSX 8904, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to VMV as 8904.  It was rebuilt to SD40-2 standards as KCS 621 in May 1995. It was assigned as 3107 but retired.

2005, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31845, FN 5703-6, as ACL 1029.  It became SCL 2005 in May 1976 and SBD 2005 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8905 in 1984.  It later became CSX 8905, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to VMV as 8905.   It later sold to Montana Rail-Link as 8905 and assigned as 376. It was transferred to I&M Rail-Link as 8905 and returned to MRL as 8905.  It was sold to Progress Rail Services and scrapped

2006, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31846, FN 5703-7, as ACL 1030.  It became SCL 8906 in May 1976 and SBD 2006 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8906 in 1984.  It later became CSX 8906, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to VMV as 8906.  It was rebuilt as KCS 622, SD40-3, in May 1995.  It was renumbered 3108 and retired.

2007, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31847, FN 5703-8, as ACL 1031. It became SCL 2007 in May 1976 and SBD 2007 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8907 in 1984. It became CSX 8907, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to VMV as 8907. It later sold to MRL as 8907. It was transferred to IMRL as 8907 and returned to MRL as 8907.  It was renumbered 377.  It was sold to Progress Rail Services and scrapped.

2008, SD45, was built in December 1966, #31848, FN 5703-9, as ACL 1032.  It became SCL 2008 in May 1976  and  SBD 2008 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8908 in 1984.  It became CSX 8908, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to VMV 8908.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on August 22, 1994, as Southern Pacific 8601 and became Union Pacific 2677, Class SD40M-2, on August 28, 2003.

2010, SD45, was built in September 1968, #34163, FN 7123-1.  It became SBD 2010 in January 1983 and renumbered 8910 in 1984.  It became CSX 8910, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to VMV 8910.  It was sold to MRL as 8910 and renumbered  378.  It was sold to MRL as 8910 and renumbered  378.  It was transferred to I&MRL as 378 and returned to MRL as 378.  It was sold to Progress Rail Services and scrapped.

2011, SD45, was built in September 1968, #34164, FN 7123-2.  It became SBD 2011 in January 1983 and renumbered 8911 in 1984.  It became CSX 8911, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 8911.  It was rebuilt as Union Pacific 4738, Class SD40-2, on February 2, 1999, and renumbered as 2788 on December 22, 2001.  It was retired on April 15, 2002, and returned to CIT Financial Group as CEFX 2788.  It was relettered as CITX 2788 in 2008.

2012, SD45, was built in September 1968, #34165, FN 7123-3.  It became SBD 2012 in January 1983 and renumbered 8912 in 1984.

2013, SD45, was built in September 1968, #34166, FN 7123-4. It became SBD 2013 in January 1983 and then was renumbered 8913 in 1984. It later became CSX 8913, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and later was rebuilt by MK Rail on August 15, 1994 as SP 8599. It was assigned UP 4621 in September 1997 and became UP 2675, Class SD40M-2, on August 31, 2005.

2015, SD45, was built in September 1968, #34168, FN 7123-6.  It became SBD 2015 and then was renumbered 8915.  It later became CSX 8915, Class SD-45, and sold as VMV 8915.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on July 18, 1994, as SP 8593.  It was assigned as UP 4615 and became UP 2669, Class SD40M-2, on April 17, 2004.

2016, SD45, was built in September 1968, #34169, FN 7123-7.  It became SBD 2016 and then was renumbered 8916,  It later became CSX 8916, Class SD-45, and later rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen on August 30, 1994, as SP 8602.  It was assigned UP 4624 in September 1997 and became UP 2678, Class SD40M-2, on July 20, 2000.

2017, SD45, was built in October 1968, #34170, FN 7123-8. It became SBD 2017 and then renumbered 8917. It later became CSX 8917, Class SD-45, and later was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen on July 31, 1994, as SP 8597. It was assigned UP 4619 in September 1997 and became UP 2673 on March 20, 2003, Class SD40M-2.

2018, SD45, was built in October 1968, #34171, FN 7123-9.  It became SBD 2018 and then renumbered 8918.  It later became CSX 8918, Class SD-45 and sold as VMV 8918.  It was sold to MRL as 8918 and assigned as 379.  It was transferred to I&MRL as 8918 and returned to MRL as 8918.

2019, SD45, was built in October 1968, #34172, FN 7123-10. It later became SBD 2019 and was then renumbered 8919. It later became CSX 8919, Class SD-45. It was sold to VMV Enterprises as 8919 and then rebuilt to SD40-2 standards as Kansas City Southern 623.

2020, SD45, was built in October 1968, #34173, FN 7123-11.  It became Seaboard System 2020 and then renumbered 8920.  It later became CSX 8920, Class SD-45, and sold as VMV 8920.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on July 1, 1994, as SP 8591.  It became UP 2667, Class SD40M-2, on July 20, 2001.

2022, SD45, was built in October 1968, #34175, FN 7123-13. It later became SBD 2019 and was then renumbered 8922. It later became CSX 8922, Class SD-45. It was sold to VMV and rebuilt as KCS 624.

2023, SD45, was built in October 1968, #34176, FN 7123-14.  It later became SBD 2023 and was renumbered 8923.  It later became CSX 8923, Class SD-45.  It was sold to VMV as 8923.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail to SD40-2 standards as SP 8676 on November 11, 1994.  It became UP 2752, Class SD40M-2, on December 17, 2003.

2024, SD45, was built in September 1971, #37715, FN 5784-1.  It became SBD 2024 in January 1983 and then renumbered 8924 in 1984.  It later became CSX 8924, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold to VMV as 8924 and sold to MRL as 8924.  It was transferred as IMRL 8924 and returned to MRL.  It was sold as Northern Illinois & Wisconsin Ry 8924 in 2007 and sold as Vintage Locomotives Inc 8924 in January 2015.  It was acquired by Southern Appalachia Ry Museum in 2015 and restored as Clinchfield RR 3632.

2026, SD45, was built in September 1971, #37717, FN 5784-3.  It became SBD 2026 in January 1983 and then renumbered 8926 in 1984.  It later became CSX 8926, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold to VMV as 8926 and then rebuilt to SD40-2 standards as KCS 625.  It was sold to Maine Central for parts.

2030, SD45, was built in September 1971, #37721, FN 5784-7. It later became SBD 2030 in January 1983 and renumbered 8930 in 1984.  It became CSX 8930, Class SD-45, as April1 1986.  It was sold as VMV 8930 and rebuilt as KCS 627, SD40-3, in August 1995.   It was sold as Allegheny Valley Ry 3002 in 2008.

2031, SD45, was built in September 1971, #37722, FN 5784-8.  It became SBD 2031 in January 1983 and renumbered 8931 in 1984.  It became CSX 8931, Class SD-45, in April 1986 and sold as Morrison Knudsen Corp 9520.  It was sold as Wisconsin Central Ltd 9520 and renumbered 6635 in 1997.  It was sold as Larry's Truck Equipment and scrapped.

2033, SD45, was built in September 1971, #37724, FN 5784-10. It later became SBD 2033 in January 1983 and was then renumbered 8933 in 1984. It later became CSX 8933, Class SD-45, in April 1986. It was sold to VMV as 8933 and then rebuilt to SD40-2 standards as KCS 629.

2036, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37727, FN 5784-13. It later became SBD as 2036 and later renumbered 8936. It later became CSX 8936, Class SD-45. It was sold to VMV as 8936 and later sold to Montana Rail-Link as 8936. It was later assigned to I&M Rail-Link as 8936 and in 2002 it became Iowa Chicago & Eastern 8936.

2037, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37728, FN 5784-14.  It became SBD 2037 and then renumbered 8937. It later became CSX 8937, Class SD-45, and was sold to VMV.  It was rebuilt as MK Rail on July 21, 1994, as SP 8594.  It was assigned Union Pacific 4620 and became UP 2670 on October 24, 2005.

2038, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37729, FN 5784-15. It then went to Clinchfield RR as 3625. It later became SBD 8938 in 1984 and then CSX 8938, Class SD-45, in April 1986. It was sold to VMV Enterprises as 8938 and then to Morrison Knudsen Corp as 9523. It then was sold to Helm Leasing Co as 7004. They sold it to WCLtd as 6636. It was sold to LTE in September 2002 and scrapped.

2039, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37730, FN 5784-16. It later became Clinchfield 3626 and then SBD 3626. It was renumbered 8939 and later became CSX 8939, Class SD-45. It then went to Morrison-Knudsen and was rebuilt on November 18, 1994, as Southern Pacific 8677. On June 8, 1998, it became Union Pacific 4703, and was renumbered 2753 on May 2, 2001.

2040, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37731, FN 5784-17.  It became CRR 3627 and then SBD 3627 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8940 in 1984 and became CSX 8940, Class SD-45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV 8940 and sold as MRL 8940. It was transferred as I&M Rail-Link 8940 and returned as MRL 8940 on November 5, 1998.

2041, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37732, FN 5784-18.  It was transferred as Clinchfield 3628 and became SBD 3628 in January 1983,  It was renumbered 8941 in 1984 and became CSX 8941, Class SD45, in April 1986.  It was sold as VMV 8941 and sold as MRL 8941.  It was transferred as I&MRL 8941 and returned as MRL 8941 on November 5, 1998.

2042, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37733, FN 5784-19.  It was transferred as Clinchfield 3629 and became SBD 3629 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 8942 in 1984 and became CSX 8942, Class SD45.  It was sold as VMV 8937 and rebuilt by MK on November 28, 2001, as SP 8596.  It was assigned UP 4618 and became UP 2672 on November 28, 2001.

2043, SD45, was built in October 1971, #37734, FN 5784-20.  It was transferred as Clinchfield 3630 and became SBD 3630 in Janaury 1983.  It was renumbered 8943 in 1984 and became CSX 8943, Class SD45.  It was apparently not relettered later.  It was sold as VMV 8943 and sold as MKCX 9524.  It was rebuilt as HLCX 6519, SD40M-3.

2045, SD45-2, was built in August 1974, #74601-1, FN 74601-1.  It later became SBD 2045 in January 1983 and renumbered 8950 in 1984.  It became CSX 8950, Class SD45-2, in April 1964 and sold to Helm Leasing as HATX 904.

2053, SD45-2, was built in August 1974, #74601-9, FN 74601-9.  It became SBD 2053 in January 1983 and renumbered 8958 in 1984.  It became CSX 8958, Class SD45-2, in April 1964.  It was sold as HATX 901 and renumbered 750.  It was rebuilt as HLCX 6451, SD40-2.

2055, SD45-2, was built in September 1974, #74601-11, FN 74601-11.  It later became SBD 2055 in January 1983 and renumbered 8960 in 1984.  It became CSX 8960, Class SD45-2, in April 1986 and sold as HATX 909.  It was rebuilt to SD40-3 as Duluth Missabe & Iron Range 418 on December 31, 1997, and retired in February 2007.  It was sold to Progress Rail Services as PRLX 418 in April 2008.

2056, SD45-2, was built in September 1974, #74601-12, FN 74601-12. It later became SBD 2056 in January 1983 and renumbered 8961in 1984.  It became CSX 8961, Class SD45-2, in April 1986 and sold as HATX 913.

2057, SD45-2, was built in September 1974, #74601-13, FN 74601-13.  It later became SBD 8962 and then CSX 8962, Class SD45-2.  It was sold to Helm as 902 and leased as Transportacion Ferroviaria Mexicana 1522.  It was returned as HATX 1522.
