Southern Appalachia Railway Museum
425, C424, was built by Alco in June 1964, #3372-05, as Nacionales de Mexico 8104. It was never delivered and sold as Wabash RR B904. Since the controls were in Spanish it was a B unit. It became Norfolk & Western 425 in 1965 and sold as Associated Electric Cooperative Inc 425 in 1977. It was acquired as SARM 425.
1030, GP-30, was built in May 1963, #27753, FN 7657-2, as Louisville & Nashville 1030, Class GP-30. It became Seaboard System 1361 and CSX Transportation 4059, Class GP-30, in 1987. It resold as Sequatchi Valley Switching Co 4059 and resold as Pine Belt Southern RR 3059. It then went to Southern Alabama RR 3059 and then to Columbia & Silver Creek RR 3059. It was acquired as Southern Appalachian RR Museum as 1030 and sent to Waldens Railroad RR as 1030.
1315, C420, was built in September 1966, #3467-10, as Louisville & Nashville 1315, Class C-420, It was sold as Indiana HiRail as 1315 in 1986 and later renumbered 315. It was taken by Wabash & Ohio 315 and sold to Fulton County RR 315 in 1998, It was sold as Vintage Locomotives, Inc 1315. It went to Southern Appalachian RR Museum.
2064, C420, was built by Alco in October 1964, #3395-05, as Lehigh Valley 408, Class ASM-20. It was planned as Conrail 2064 Class C-420, but became Delaware & Hudson 408, Class C-420, in April 1976. It was planned as renumbered 418 and sold to Adirondack Railway Preservation Society as Adirondack Scenic RR 2064. It was sold to Vintage Locomotives Inc in 2004 and leased to SARM as 2004.
2561 was built in October 1962, #27432, FN 5636-37, Southern Ry 2561. It became Norfolk Southern 2561, Class GP30, and sold as Sequatchie Valley RR 2561. It was sold as Southern Alabama RR and sold as Knoxville & Holston River RR 2561. It was sold as Waldons Ridge RR 2561 and sold to Vintage Locomotives Inc VLIX 2561. It was sold to SARM and restored as Southern 2561.
"Clinchfield 3632", SD45, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1971, #37715, FN 5784-1, as Seaboard Coast Line 2024. It became Seaboard System 2024 in January 1983 and then renumbered 8924 in 1984. It later became CSX 8924, Class SD-45, in April 1986. It was sold to VMV as 8924 and sold to MRL as 8924. It was transferred as IMRL 8924 and returned to MRL. It was sold as Northern Illinois & Wisconsin Ry 8924 in 2007 and sold as Vintage Locomotives Inc 8924 in January 2015. It was acquired by Southern Appalachia Ry Museum in 2015 and restored as Clinchfield RR 3632.
Georgia Central 3965, U23B, was built by General Electric in February 1977, #41518, as Southern Ry 3965, It was sold as Georgia Central 3965 and sold as Vintaage Locomotives Inc 3965. It was sent to SARM5
SARX 39-5310, RS1, was built by Alco in July 1951, #79053, as E. I. duPont de Nemoirs Corp 108. It was sold as United States Atomic Energy Commission 39-5310 and acquired as SARM 39-5310.
Southern 6913, E8A, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1953, #19011 FN 2063-A8, as New Orleans & Northeastern (Southern) 6913, E8A . It became NJT 4334 in 1979 and sold to SARM. It has been stored to Oak Ridge, TN.
United States Army 7100, S2, was built by Alco in September 1943, #70225, as USA 7100. It was transferred as TVA 46 and sold to SARM in June 1999. It was restored as USA 7100.
USA 7125, S2, was built by Alco September 1942, #70192. It was sent to SARM.
