Steamtown National Historic Site
Brooks-Scanlon Corp 1 was built by Baldwin in August 1914, #41649, as Carpenter-O'Brien Corp 1. It became BSC 1 in 1917 and transferred as Lee Tidewater Cypress Co 1 in 1947. It was sold to F Nelson Blount in 1962 and moved as to North Walpole, NH. It was moved to Bellows Falls, VT, and then sent to Scranton, PA as SNHS.
Meadow River Lumber Co 1 was built by Lima in May 1910, #2317. It was donated to Edaville in July 1959 and transferred to F Nelson Blount as Steamtown in January 1963. In February 1982, the building in it was collapsed under heavy snow. The cab was destroyed but it was sent to Scranton in 1985 as SNHS.
Vermillion Sugar Co1 was built by Cooke Locomotiive in April 1892, #2197, as Houston & Texas Central 114. It was renumbered 314 and became T&NO 314 in March 1927. It was sold as Vermillion Sugar Co 1 in July 1940 and sold to F Nelson Blount in 1957. It became Steamtown in 1965 and sold to Moody Foundation in July 1982. It became Galveston Railroad Museun,
Bullard Machine Co 2 was built by H K Porter in October 1937k #7250.. It sold to American Machinery Corp and resold to F Nelson Blount and became Mondadnock Steamtown & Northern 2 in June 1963. It became Steamtown Foundation in 1967 and moved as SNHS in Scranton, PA, in October 1984.
Berlin Mills Co 7 was built by Vulcan Iron Works in January 1911, #1679. It was sold as Groveton Papers Co 7 in November 1944 and leased as Blackmount & Haverhill RR 7 in 1961. It returned to Groveton Papers Co in 1963 and donated to Steamtown in December 1969. It was moved to Scranton PA.
Spang Chalfant & Co 8 was built by Baldwin in April 1923, #56402. It was sold as Duquesne Slag Co 8 and sold as Penn View Mountain RR 8 in June 1963. It was sold to another individual and acquired by SNHS later. It became a display of the insides of a steam locomotive.
Rahway Valley RR 15 was built by Baldwin in June 1916, #43529 as Oneida & Western RR 20. It was sold as RVRy 15 in December 1937 and sold to Edaville Corp in 1959. It was transfered as Mondnock Steamtown & Northern in November 1961 and moved to Bellows Falls, VT, in 1966. It became Steamtown in October 1969 and moved to Scranton, PA, in November 1984.
Baldwin Locomotiv Works 26 was built by Baldwin in March 1929, #60733. It was sold as Jackson Iron & Steel Co 3 and later sold to Jerry Jacobson in 1979 and given to Steamtown in 1986. It was restored as BLW 26.
New Haven Trap Rock Co 43 was built by Vulcan Iron Works in December 1918, #2888. It was sold to Steamtown in 1963 and moved to Scranton in 1985.
New York Chicago & St Louis 44, Class P, was built by Alco-Brooks in December 1905, #38831. It was renumbered as 304 in 1910 and sold as Akron Canton & Youngstown Ry 304, Class P, in May 1920. It was sold as Dansville & Mount Morris 304 in July 1929 and sold to Myers Steel & Supply Co in June 1957. It was sold to Steamtown in December 1963 and recently it is preserved as NKP 44.
Canadian National 47. Class X-10-a, was built by Montreal Locomotive Works in September 1914, #54896, as Grand Trunk Ry 1542, Class K2. It became CN 47 in April 1923 and sold to F Nelson Blount in June 1959. It was donated to Steamtown October 1969 and moved to Scranton in December 1985.
Norwood & St Lawrence 210 was built by Alco-Cooke in December 1923, #65365. It was sold to Abe Cooper-Watertown Corp and sold to F Nelson Blount in September 1965. It was donated to Steamtown October 1969 and moved to Scranton in December 1985.
Vermillion Sugar Co 216. was built by Baldwin in February 1887, #8395, as Union Pacific 737. It was sold as Texas & New Orleans 246, Class E-62, in April 1902 and renumbered 216. Class E-21, in 1913. It was sold as Erath Sugar Co Ltd 216 in December 1929 and became Vermillion Sugar Co 216 in August 1947. It was sold to F Nelson Blount in 1957 and became part of Steamtown in 1965. It moved to Scranton in October 1985. It was donated to Nevada State Railroad Museum and then donated to Feather River Railroad Museum. It was sold to Double T Agricultural Museum in 2003 and restored as Southern Pacific 216.
New York Chicago & St Louis 514, Class ERS-17E, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1958, #24505, FN 5578-5. In February 1966 it became Norfolk & Western 2514 and retired on April 5, 1985. It was sent to Steamtown in April 1985 ands restored as NKP 514 in 1998.
Illinois Central 790 was built by Alco-Cooke in September 1903, #28686, as Chicago Union Transfer Co 100. It became IC 641 in 1904 and renumbered 790 in January 1943. It was sold to Lou S Keller in May 1959 and resold to David DeCamp in September 1965. It was sold to F Nelson Blount in January 1966 and donated to SNHS in October 1969. It was moved to Scranton PA.
Delaware Lackawanna & Western 880, SD24, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1959, #25207, FN 5598-11, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 510. It became Burlington Northern 6250, Class SD-24, in 1970 and was retired in July 1982. It was sold through General Electric to Maryland Midland Ry as 6250. It was later sold to SNHS and painted as Delaware Lackawanna & Western 880. It then was sold to Fox River Valley RR as 2402. It later became Wisconsin Central Ltd 2402. It was donated to National Railroad Museum.
Canadian Pacific 1278, Class G-5-d, was built by Canadian Locomotive Co in April 1948, #2435. It was sold to F Nelson Blount in 1965 and became Monadnock Steamtown & Northern 127. It was leased as Cadillac & Lake City RR 127 in June 1970 and returned to Steamtown in September 1971. It was renumber 1278 in 1974 and sent to Steamtown National Historic Site at Scranton in November 1984. It was sold as Gettysburg RR 1278 shortly but there was damaged when the crownsheet dropped on June 16, 1995. It was sold to Age of Steam Roundhouse in 1998 and is awaiting restoration.
Canadian Pacific 1293, Class G-5-d. was built by Canadian Locomotive in June 1948, #2450. It was retired in January 1964 and acquired by Steamtown Foundation. It was sold to ASR in 1996.
4932, Class GG-1, was built by Juniata-General Electric in March 1943, #4427, as Pennsylvania RR 4932, Class GG-1. It became Penn Central 4932, Class GG-1 in 1968. Then it became National Railway Passenger Corp 4932, Class GG-1, in April 1976, and sent to Steamtown Foundationin in 1984. It was acquired by a individual in 2001 and acquired by Henry Ford Museum in 2003.
Maryland Midland Ry 6255, SD24, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1959, #25212, FN 5598-16, as CB&Q 515. It became BN 6255, Class SD-24, in 1970 and was retired in July 1982. It was sold through General Electric to MMID as 6255. It was later sold to SNHS and then to FRV as 2401. It later became WCLtd 2401 and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment. It was scrapped.
Union Pacific 4012 was built by Alco-Schenectady in October 1941, #69583. It was retired in February 1962 and donated to Steamtown in August 1964. It was moved from Vermont to Pennsylvania in November 1984.
Canadian National 5288, Class J-7-b, was built by Montreal in March 1919, #60483, as Canadian Government Ry 516. It was leased as Grand Trunk 1516 in 1918 and became CN 5288, Class J-7-b, It was sold to Steamtown in September 1961 and donated to Tennessee Valley RR Museum in 1999.
