Electro-Motive GP9 Diesel

448, Class ERS-17A, was built in June 1955, #20453, FN 5396-1.  It was wrecked on December 6, 1956, and rebuilt in June 1957, #23756. FN 8048-1.  It became Norfolk & Western 2448 on October 1966 and retired on August 16, 1982.  It was sold to Cycle System for scrap in March 1983.

449, Class ERS-17A, was built in June 1955, #20454, FN 5396-2.  It became N&W  2449 in December 1966 and was retired on  June 28, 1982.  It was sold to Cycle Systems for scrap in March 1983.

451, Class ERS-17A, was built in June 1955, #20456, FN 5396-4.  It became N&W 2451 in October 1966 and retired on September 16, 1982.  It was sold for scrap  to Naporano Iron  Metal Co on August 19, 1983.

454, Class ERS-17A, was built in July 1955, #20459, FN 5396-7.  It became N&W 2454 in April 1966 and was retired on April 22, 1985.  It was sold to Electro-Motive and sent to Cycle Systems in September 1985.

461, Class ERS-17A,  was built in July 1955, #20466, FN 5396-14.  It became N&W 2461 in October 1966 and was retired on April 5, 1985.  It was sold to Electro-Motive and sent to Cycle Systems in October 1985.

463, Class ERS-17A, was built in July 1955, #20468, FN 5396-16.  It became N&W 2463 in September 1966 and was retired on April 5, 1985.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive and sent to Cycle Systems in November 1985.

464, Class ERS-17A, was built in July 1955, #20469, FN 5396-17.  It became N&W 2464 in January 1966 and was retired on April 22, 1985.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in June 1985 and sold for scrap to Illinois Scrap Processing.

475, Class ERS-17A, was built in July 1955, #20480, FN 5396-28.  It became N&W 2475 in September 1966 and was retired on April 22, 1985.  It was traded in to General Electric and  sold it to Gibbs Railway Equipment,  It was sold to Winchester & Western as 475 in September 1986.

478, Class ERS-17B, was built in July 1955, #20483, FN 5397-2.  It became N&W 2478 on August 1966 and was retired on April 5, 1985.  It was traded in to General Electric and sold for scrap to Naporano in January 1986.

479, Class ERS-17B, was built in July 1955, #20484, FN 5397-3.  It became N&W 2479 in November 1965 and was retired on April 22, 1985.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive and sent to Illinois Scrap Processing in July 1985.

481, Class ERS-17D, was built in August 1956, #21909, FN 5463-2.  It became N&W 2481 in January 1966 and was retired on April 5, 1985.  It was traded in to General Electric and sent to Naporano Iron & Metal in November 1986.

482, Class ERS-17D,  was built in August 1956, #21910, FN 5463-3.  It was wrecked on December 6, 1956, and rebuilt in June 1957, #23760, FN 8049-1.  In August 1956 it became N&W 2482 and was retired on April 16, 1987.  It was sold to Golden Age Rail Equipment in November 1987 sold as Indiana & Ohio 482 in 1988 and sold as IORY 65 in 1989.  It was sold to Adrian & Blissfield and scrapped at Caulfield in October 1997.

494, Class ERS-17D, was built in August 1956, #24920. FN 5463-9.  It became N&W 2494 in December 1966 and retired on April 22, 1985.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive and sold to Illinois Scrap in July 1985.

498, Class ERS-17D, was built in September 1956, #21924, FN 5462-13. In December 1966 it became N&W 2498. It was retired on April 22, 1985, and traded in to General Electric. They sold it to Gibbs Railway Equipment, who sold it to WW as 498 in September 1986.

501, Class ERS-17D, was built in September 1966, # 21927, FN 5462-16.  In October 1966 it became N&W 2501 and retired on October 8, 1980.  It was traded in to General Electric in June 1982.

503, Class ERS-17D, was built in June 1957, #23759, FN 8049-1.  In December 1966 it became N&W 2503 and retired on October 8, 1980.  It was traded in to General Electric in 1982.

514, Class ERS-17E, was built in March 1958, #24505, FN 5578-5.  In February 1966 it became N&W 2514 and retired on April 5, 1985.  It was sent to Steamtown in April 1985 ands restored as NKP 514 in 1998.

522, Class ERS-17E, was built in March 1958, #24513, FN 5578-15.  In July 1966 it became N&W 2522.  It was retired on April 22, 1985, and sold for scrap to Cycle Systems in November 1985.

526, Class ERS-17E, was built in March 1958, #24519, FN 5578-17.  In January 1966 it became N&W 2526 and became Norfolk Southern 1456, Class GP-9,  It was retired on April 9, 1984, and traded in to Electro-Motive.  It was scrapped by Pielet Brothers in August 1984.

529, Class ERS-17E, was built in March 1958, #24520, FN 5578-20.  In February 1966 it became N&W 2529 and became NS 1459, Class GP-9, in 1983.  It was retired on April 9, 1984, and traded in to Electro-Motive.  It was sent for scrap to Pielet Brothers in August 1984.

530, Class ERS-17F, was built in January 1959, #25073, FN 5592-1,  In April 1966 it became N&W 2530 and became NS 1460, Class GP-9, in 1983.  It was retired on April 9, 1984, and traded in to Electro-Motive.  It was sent for scrap to Pielet Brothers in August 1984.

801, Class ERS-17G, was built in January 1959, #25079, FN 5592-7.  In August 1966 it became N&W 2801 and became NS 1471, Class GP-9 in 1983.  It was traded in to General Electric on April 5, 1985.  It was sold to Gibb and sold to Dakota Minnesota & Eastern 1471 "City of Watertown" on October 10, 1986.  It was retired in 1997 and sold to Taylor Machine Co.  It was sold as Minnesota Northern RR 1471 in August 1998.  It was transferred as Huron & Eastern 1721 in May 2013.

804, Class ERS-17G, was built in January 1959, #25082, FN 5592-10.  In February 1966 it became N&W 2804 and became NS 1474. Class GP-9, in 1983.  It was retired on April 22, 1985, and sold for scrap to Cycle Systems in August 1985.

808, Class ERS-17G, was built in January 1959, #25086, FN 5592-14.  In October 1966 it became N&W 2808 and became NS 1478, Class GP-9. in 1983.  It was retired on May 25, 1984, and traded in to Electro-Motive.  It was sent to Cycle Systems for scrap.

811, Class ERS-17G, was built in January 1959, #25089, FN 5592-17.  In April 1966 it became N&W 2811 and became NS 1481, Class GP-9. in 1983.  It was retired on April 5, 1985, and traded in to General Electric.  It was sold to Gibb and sold as Winchester & Western 811 in September 1986.

812, Class ERS-17G, was built in February 1959, #25090, FN 5592-18.  In August 1966 it became N&W 2812 and became NS 1482, Class GP-9, in 1983.  It was retired on April 22, 1985 and traded in to Electro-Motive.  It was sent for scrap to Cycle Systems in December 1985.

814, Class ERS-17G, was built in February 1959, #25092, FN 5592-20, FN 5592-20. In September 1966 it became N&W 2814. It became NS 1484, Class GP-9,  in 1983 and sold to General Electric on April 5, 1985. It was sold to Gibbs and acquired by Dakota Minnesota & Eastern as 1484 "City of Tracy" on October 10, 1986.  It was later sold to Taylor Machine Works and sold as Minnesota Northern RR 1484.
