Union Pacific

 

4-4-0s

58 was built by Central Pacific Sacramento Shop in September 1873, #6. as Virginia & Truckee 18 "Dayton"  It was sold to Paramount Pictures in September 1938 and starred on "Union Pacific" as 58 and appeared in various movies.  It was leased to National Parks Service as Union Pacific 119 in 1969 and sold to State of Nevada as V&T 18.

119 was built at Aurora by CB&Q in 1892, as Hannibal & St Joseph RR 66.  It was renumbered 666 in 1898 and became Chicago Burlington & Quincy 359 in June 1901.  It was renumbered 35 for the Century of Progress in 1933.  It was leased as UP 119 during the Railroad Fair in 1948.  It was donated to Patee House Museum in July 1970..

737 was built by Baldwin in February 1887, #8395.  It was sold as Texas & New Orleans 246, Class E-62, in April 1902 and renumbered 216. Class E-21,  in 1913.  It was sold as Erath Sugar Co Ltd 216 in December 1929 and became Vermillion Sugar Co 216 in August 1947.  It was sold to F Nelson Blount in 1957 and became part of Steamtown in 1965.  It moved to Scranton in October 1985.  It was donated to Nevada State Railroad Museum and then donated to  Feather River Railroad Museum.  It was sold to Double T Agricultural Museum in 2003 and restored as Southern Pacific 216.
