Electro-Motive GP38-3 Diesels

900, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1967, #33351, FN 7060-34, as Baltimore & Ohio 3833, Class GP-38. It was later 2033 in 1986 and then became CSX Transportation 2033, Class GP-38, in 1987. It was retired on March 6, 1996, and sold to Helm on May 2, 1996. It was rebuilt by Boise in November 1996 as UP 2400 on November 6, 1996. It was renumbered 900 on July 23, 2003.

901, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1967, #33352, FN 7060-35, as B&O 3834, Class GP-38. It was later 2034 in 1986 and then became CSX 2034, Class GP-38, in 1987. It was retired on March 6, 1996, and sold to Helm on May 2, 1996. It was rebuilt by Boise in November 1996 as UP 2401 on November 9, 1996. It was renumbered 901 on December 11, 2003.

905, Class GP38-3, was built in July 1970, #36330, FN 7257-18, as Louisville & Nashville 4017, Class GP-38.  It became Seaboard System 4017 in January 1983 and renumbered 6238 in 1984.  It became CSX 2147, Class GP-38, in April 1987 and sold to Helm Leasing as 2147.  It was rebuilt by Motive Power Industries at Boise on November 27, 1996, as UP 2405, Class GP38-3, on November 27, 1996. It was renumbered 905 on 13, 2001, and retired on November 26, 2007.  It was rebuilt by Coast Engine & Equipment in May 2008 as Savage Companies as SVGX 8616.

908, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1967, #33350, FN 7060-33, as B&O 3832, Class GP-38. It was later 2032 in 1986 and then became CSX 2032, Class GP-38, in 1987. It was retired on February 1, 1996, and sold to Helm on May 2, 1996. It was rebuilt by Boise in December 1996 as UP 2408 on December 17, 1996. It was renumbered 908 on January 24, 2004.

909, Class GP38-3, was built in May 1971, #37630, FN 7305-12, as L&N 4041, Class GP-38. It later became SBD 4041 in January 1983 and 6232 in 1984 and was renumbered 2171 before becoming CSX 2171, Class -38, in April 1986. It was sold to Helm Leasing as 2171 and rebuilt by Motive Power Industries in December 1996 as UP 2406 on December 4, 1996. It was renumbered 906 on October 25, 2001.

912, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1967, #33345, FN 7060-28, as B&O 3827, Class GP-38. It was later 2027 in 1986 and then became CSX 2027, Class GP-38, in 1987. It was retired on October 21, 1996, and sold to Helm as 2027 in November 27, 1996. It was rebuilt by Boise in May 1997 as UP as 2412 on May 2, 1997. It was renumbered 912 on May 26, 2003.

915, Class GP38-3 was built in October 1969, #35416, FN 7191-115, as Penn Central 7789, Class EP-20, GP38. It became Consolidated Railroad Corp 7786, Class GP-38, in April 1976 and became assigned as Chicago Missouri & Western as 2035 in 1987 but became National Helm as 7786 in September 28, 1989. It became Union Pacific as 1974 in September 28, 1989, and was returned back to Helm as 3613 as March 28, 1994. It was then rebuilt as GP38-2 as UP 2415 in September 10, 1997, and renumbered as 915 on July 11, 2003.

916, Class GP38-3, was built in August 1970, #36680, FN 7274-15, as B&O 4804, Class GP-38. It was later 2104 and then became CSX 2104, Class GP-38. It was retired on January 22, 1996, and was later Helm Leasing Corp at 2104 in April 10, 1996. It was rebuilt as UP as 2416 on September 10, 1997, and renumbered 916 on January 30, 2004.

917, Class GP38-3, was built in November 1967, #33367, FN 7060-50, as B&O 3849, Class GP-38. It was later 2049 and then became CSX 2049, Class GP-38. It was retired on May 9, 1997, and sold to Helm Atlantic as 2049 on July 30, 1997. It was rebuilt by VMV in January 9, 1998, as UP 2417 and renumbered 917 on August 22, 2003.

918, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1969, #35424, FN 3191-121, as Penn Central 7795, Class EF-20.  It became Consolidated Railroad Corp 7795, Class GP-38, in April 1976, and sold as Missouri-Kansas-Texas 7795 in 1985. It was renumbered as 322 in 1986 and became UP 1979, Class GP38, on February 17, 1989.  It was retired on July 17, 1997.  It was sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998, and rebuilt at Boise as UP 2418, Class GP38-2, on October 20, 1998.  It was renumbered 918 on August 22, 2001, and retired on March 21, 2009.  It was returned to Helm as HLCX 918.

1000, Class GP38-3, was built in July 1966, #31795, FN 7897-11, as Seaboard Air Line RR 626.  In July 1967 it became Seaboard Coast Line 1541 and later Seaboard System RR 1541.  It was renumbered 6697 and then became CSX 6697, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt at Boise on February 26, 1997, as Union Pacific 2506, GP38-3, and renumbered 1000 on June 3, 2003.  It was returned as Helm Leasing Corp HLCX 1000 on November 26, 1947.

1001, Class GP38-3, was built in September 1967, #33467, FN 7075-19, as Louisville & Nashville 3028, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6824 and later CSX 6824, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Motive Power Industries as UP 2501, GP38-3, on February 11, 1997.  It was renumbered 1001 on September 3, 2001, and retired on November 26, 2007.  It was returned as HLCX 1001 and leased as Kansas City Southern 1001.  It was sold as Wichita Tillman & Jackson 1001 in April 2012.

1005, Class GP38-3, was built in December 1966, #32354, FN 7929-5, as Atlantic Coast Line 919.  It became SCL 1504 in July 1967 and then SBD 6661.  It then became CSX 6661, Class GP-40, and rebuilt at Boise on February 28, 1997, as UP 2505, GP38-3, and renumbered 1005 on March 7, 2003.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sent as HLCX 1005.  It was sold as Nebraska Central 1005.

1007, Class GP38-3, was built in September 1967, #33456, FN 7075-8, as L&N 3017, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3017 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6813 in 1984 and later CSX 6813, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as UP 2507, Class GP38-3, on March 26, 1997, and renumbered 1007 on May 30, 2002.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sold to Helm as HLCX 1007.

1008, Class GP38-3, was built in September 1967, #33452, FN 7075-4, as L&N 3013, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3013 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6809 in 1984 and CSX 6809, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  Apparently it was not relettered for a year or so.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as UP 2508, Class GP38-3, on March 9, 1997, and renumbered 1008 on April 10, 2002.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sold to Helm as HLCX 1008.  It was sold as WT&J 1008 in April 2012.

1009, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1966, #32152, FN 7911-4, as Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac 124, a GP40.  It became CSX 6858, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in March 12, 1997, as UP 2509, a GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1009 on October 31, 2003.

1012, Class GP38-3, was built in August 1967, #33449, FN 7075-1, as L&N 3010, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3010 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6806 in 1984 and later later became CSX 6806, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as UP 2512, Class GP38-3, on April 20, 1997, and renumbered 1012 on November 15, 2002.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sold to Helm as HLCX 1012.  It was sold as Wichita Tillman & Jackson 1012 in 2012.

1015, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1966, #32153, FN 7911-5, as RF&P 125.  It became CSX 6859, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in June 6, 1997, as UP 2515, a GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1015 on January 7, 2003.

1016, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1971, #38519, FN 7340-65, as Baltimore & Ohio 4039, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9039 in September 1979 and returned to 4039 in January 1980.  It became CSX 6614, Class GP-40, and retired November 30, 1995.  It was rebuilt by Boise on June 18, 1997, as GP38-3 UP 2516 and renumbered 1016 on November 19, 2002.

1017, Class GP38-3, was built in June 1971, #38546, FN 7340-2, as Chesapeake & Ohio 4066, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6641 and became CSX 6641, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Boise on June 6, 1997, as UP 2517 and renumbered 1017 on November 19, 2002.

1018, Class GP38-3, was built in January 1971, #36734, FN 7275-14, as B&O 3753, Class GP-40.  It became CSX 6529, Class GP-40, and rebuilt by Motive Power Industries as UP 2518, GP38-3, on August 2, 1997.  It was renumbered 1018 on April 23, 2003, and retired on November 15, 2007.  It was returned as Helm 1018 and leased as KCS 1018.  It was sold as WT&J 1018 in April 2012.

1023, Class GP38-3, was built in February 1969, #34751, FN 7153-4, as Atlanta & West Point 729, a GP40. It became Seaboard System 6649 and was became CSX as 6649, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt by Boise as GP38-3 in January 26, 1998, as UP 2523 and renumbered as 1023 on October 14, 2003.

1024, Class GP38-3, was built in February 1971, #36745, FN 7275-25, as B&O 3764, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9764 from February 1981 and April 30, 1981, and renumbered 6540 in 1986.  It became CSX 6540, Class GP-40, in 1987 and wrecked at Walbridge, OH, on January 15, 1996.  It was retired on February 1, 1997, and sold to Helm Leasing Corp.  It was shipped to Metro East Industries and rebuilt by VMV at Paducah as a GP38-3 on January 26, 1998 as UP 2524, Class GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1024 on November 5, 2001, and retired on October 13, 2003.  It was returned to Helm and leased as KCS 1024.  It was sold as Nebraska Central RR 1024 in 2011.

1026, Class GP38-3 was built in November 1969, #35454, FN 7192-1, as Missouri-Kansas-Texas 211.  It became UP 581, Class GP40, on December 15, 1989, and sold to Helm Leasing on December 31, 1997.  It was rebuilt by Boise on February 11, 1998, as UP 2525, Class GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1026 on April 23, 2002, and retired on December 13, 2007.  It was returned as HLCX 1026.

(1029), Class GP38-3, was built in February 1966, #31468, FN 5697-28, as Illinois Central 3012.  It was sold to Helm and leased as UP 852, Class GP40, on May 5, 1989.  It was returned to Helm and rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as 2529, Class GP38-3, on August 21, 1998.  It was retired and became HLCX 1029 on November 5, 2009.

(1031), Class GP38-3, was built in January 1966, #31448, FN 5697-8, as IC 3032.  It was sold to Helm and leased as UP 854, Class GP40, on June 10, 1989.  It was returned to Helm and rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as 2531, Class GP38-3, on August 15, 1998.  It was retired and became HLCX 1031 on December 8, 2009.

1033, Class GP38-3, was built in March 1970, #36392, FN 7263-7, as Chicago Rock Island & Pacific 4706, a GP40. It became UP 637 on April 14, 1980, and later Missouri Pacific 637 on May 10, 1985. It was retired October 26, 1988, and became VMV Enterprises on January 28, 1989. It then became Helm Leasing on 1989 and then UP 856 on July 14, 1989. It was rebuilt as GP38-3 by Boise in July 1998 as UP 2533 on July 25, 1993. It then as UP 1033 on August 27, 2001.

(1043), Class GP38-3, was built in August 1967, #33238, FN 7987-25, as New York Central 3074, Class EF-30.  It became Penn Central 3074, Class EF-30, in 1968 and Consolidated Railroad Corp 3074, Class GP-40, in April 1976.  It was sold as HL 3074 and rebuilt as  Union Pacific 872, GP-40, on February 6, 1989.  It was returned to Helm and rebuilt by Boise on February 8, 1999, as UP 2543, Class GP38-3.  It was planned as 1043 but returned as HLCX 1043 in 2010.

1046, Class GP38-3, was built in January 1967, #32481, FN 7936-12 as Chicago Milwaukee St Paul & Pacific 164, Class 30E-RS.  It was renumbered 2037 in 1968 and became Soo Line RR 2037 in 1985.  It was retired in February 1989.  It was sold to Helm Leasing and leased as UP 875, Class GP40, on November 28, 1989.  It was returned to Helm and rebuilt as UP 2546, GP38-2, on September 22, 1998.  It was renumbered 1046 on September 14, 2001, and returned as HLCX 1046 in 2011.

1047, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1966, #32299, FN 7924-6, as CMStP&P 179, Class 30E-RS, a GP40.  It was renumbered 2017 in 1968 and became Soo Line 2017 in 1985.  It was retired in February 1989.  It was sold to Helm Leasing and leased as UP 876 on December 3. 1989.  It was returned to Helm and rebuilt as UP 2547, GP38-2, on December 31, 1998.  It was renumbered 1047 on July 13, 2001, and returned as HLCX 1047 in 2010.

1048, Class GP38-3, was built in January 1967, #32473, FN 7936-4, as CMStP&P 156, Class 30E-RS, a GP40. It was renumbered 2029 in 1968 and became Soo Line 2029 in 1985.  It was retired in February 1969.  It was sold to Helm Leasing and leased as UP 877 on November 28, 1989,  It was returned to Helm and rebuilt by Motive Power International as UP 2548, GP38-2, on February 3, 1999.  It was renumbered 1048 on February 20, 2004 and returned as HLCX 1048 on April 9, 2010.

1053, Class GP38-3, was built in October 1967, #33512, FN 7064-22, as NYC 3101, Class EF-30.  It became PC 3101, Class EF-30, in 1968 and Conrail 3101, Class GP-40, in April 1976.  It was sold as Chrome Locomotive Co 3101 in March 1983 and them as Kyle RR 3101.  It was sold to Helm and sold as UP 884, Class GP-40, on January 10, 1990.  It was rebuilt as UP 2553, Class GP38-3, on December 2, 1998, and renumbered as 1053 on November 2, 2001.  It was returned as HLCX 1053 on October 22, 2009.

(1056), Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35455, FN 7192-2, as Missouri-Kansas-Texas 212, a GP40. It became UP 582 on January 16, 1991, and sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998. It was rebuilt by Boise on November 13, 1998, as UP 2556. It was assigned as 1056 and returned as HLCX 1056 in May 2010.

1058, Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35457, FN 7192-4, as MKT 214, as GP40.  It became UP 584 on March 19, 1990, and retired on December 28, 1998.  It was sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998, and rebuilt by Boise Locomotive on December 28, 1998, as UP 2558, GP38-2.  It was renumbered 1058 on December 16, 2004.

(1059), Class GP38-2, was built in November 1969, #35458, FN 7192-5, as MKT 215.  It became UP 585, Class GP40, on May 23, 1989, and sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998.  It was rebuilt by Boise on November 4, 1998, as UP 2559, Class GP38-3.  It was asssigned as 1059 and returned as HLCX 1059 on July 27, 2009.

(1060), Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35461, FN 7192-8, as MKT 218, a GP40.  It became UP 588 on January 25, 1990, and was renumbered 805 on February 19, 1998,  It was sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998, and rebuilt by Boise on December 28, 1998, as UP 2580.  It was assigned as 1060.

(1061), Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35462, FN 7192-9, as MKT 219, a GP40.  It became UP 589 on December 28, 1989, and sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998.  It was rebuilt by Boise on October 21, 1998, as UP 2561.  It was assigned as 1061.

1063, Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35463, FN 7192-10, as MKT 220, a GP40.  It became UP 590, Class GP40, on August 31, 1990, and renumbered 807 on February 4, 1997.  It was sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998, and rebuilt as UP 2563, Class GP38-3, on November 19, 1998.  It was renumbered 1063 on September 9, 2001, and returned to Helm.  It became HLCX 1063 in 2010.

(1064), Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35466, FN 7192-13, as MKT 223.  It became UP 592, Class GP40, on January 10, 1991, and sold to Helm Leasing Co on May 29, 1998.  It was rebuilt by Boise on October 20, 1998, as UP 2864, Class GP38-3.  It was returned to Helm as HLCX 1064.

1065, Class GP38-3, was built in November 1969, #35467, FN 7192-14, as MKT 224, a GP40.  It became UP 593 on August 20, 1990,  and sold to Helm on May 29, 1998.  It was rebuilt by Boise on October 30, 1998, as UP 2565.  It was renumbered 1065 on June 16, 2000.

(1069), Class GP38-3, as built in December 1968, #34146, FN 7132-2, as CMStP&P 2058, Class 30E-RS, GP40.  It became Soo Line 2058 and was planned as CP 4623 in October 1997 but sold to Helm Financial in 1998.  It was rebuilt at Boise as UP 2569, GP38-3.  It was assigned 1069 and became Helm 1069 in 2010.

(1074), Class GP38-3, was built in January 1966, #30097, FN 7842-3, as Denver & Rio Grande Western 3053, Class DE B-B 58, a GP40..  It was reclassified as EF530D-1 and retired on May 21, 1996.  It was sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998, and rebuilt by Boise on October 21, 1998, as UP 2575, a GP38-3.  It was assigned 1074 but returned as HLCX 1074 on July 22, 2009.

1075, Class GP38-3, was built in January 1966, #30995, FN 7842-1, as D&RGW 3051, Class DE B-B 58, a GP40.  It was reclassified as EF430D-1 and retired on March 26, 1997.  It was sold to Helm Leasing on May 29, 1998, and rebuilt by Boise on October 13, 1998, as UP 2574.  It was renumbered 1075 on October 26, 2003, and became HLCX 1075 on July 22, 2009.

1083, Class GP38-2, was built in September 1968, #34336, FN 7127-55, as Penn Central 3159, Class EF-30, a GP40.  It became Consolidated Railroad Corp 3159, Class GP-40, in April 1976 and sold to D&RGW 3159 on November 9, 1983,  It was renumbered 3147, Class EF430D-3, on June 1, 1984, and retired on July 16, 1997.  It was returned to Helm Leasing and rebuilt by Boise on December 23, 1998, as UP 2583 and renumbered 1083 on September 19, 2001.  It became Helm 1083 on August 4, 2011.
