Electro-Motive GP40 Diesels

3781, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39247, FN 5811-11.  It was renumbered 6556 in 1986 and became CSX Transportation 6556, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold as Indiana Southern RR 6556 and renumbered 4038.

3782, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39248, FN 5811-12. It was later renumbered 6557 in 1986. It became CSX 6557, Class GP-40, in 1987 and was renumbered 9722, Class MOW

3786, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39252, FN 5811-16.  It was renumbered 6561 in 1986 and became CSX 6561, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold as ISRR 6561 and renumbered 4043.

3789, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39255, FN 5811-19.  It was renumbered 6564 in 1986 and became CSX 6564, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold to Helm Atlantic Leasing as HATX 402 in 1994.

3790, Class GF-40, was built in December 1971, #39256, FN 5811-20.  It was renumbered 6565 and became CSX 6565, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 9120, Class RCPHE4, in 2004, and rebuilt as 2369, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

3791, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39257, FN 5811-21.  It was renumbered 6566 in 1986 and became CSX 6566, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive in March 1998 as Texas-Mexican RR 1173, GP38M-2.  It was sold to First Union Rail as FURX 2273 and sold as Yadkin Valley RR 2273 in 2007.  It was transferred to Knoxville Locomotive Works as KLWX Inc 2273 in 2009.

4067, Class GP-40, was built in June 1971, #38547, FN 7340-3.  It was renumbered 6642 in 1986 and became CSX 6642, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt at Boise in April 1998 as T-M 1176.  It was returned as FURX 1176 and sold as Herzog Contracting Corp 207 in 2011.

4071, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38551, FN 7340-7. It was later renumbered 6826 in 1986 and later became CSX 6826, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on June 14, 1991, as Southern Pacific 7136 and became Union Pacific 1514, Class GP40M-2, on March 16, 2006.

4076, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38556, FN 7340-12.  It was renumbered 6831 in 1986 and became CSX 6831, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as Helm Leasing Corp as HLCX 4402, GP40-3, and sold to Webb Asset Management as WAMX 4039 in 2005

4078, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38558, FN 7340-14.  It was renumbered 6833 in 1986 and later CSX 6833, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on July 16, 1991, as SP 7126 and assigned as UP 1504, Class GP40-2M.  It was apparently retired without renumbering.

4079, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38559, FN 7340-15.  It was renumbered 6834 in 1986 and later CSX 6834, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as 2358, Class Road Slug, in April 2008.

4083, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38563, FN 7340-19.  It was renumber 6838 in 1986 and later CSX 6838, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold to Helm Leasing as HLCX 665 and rebuilt as HLCX 4415, GP40-3.  It was sold as WAMX 4036 in 2005 and assigned as South Kansas & Oklahoma RR in 2013.

4084, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38564, FN 7340-20.  It was renumber 6839 in 1986 and later CSX 6839, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold to RailAmerica in 1999 as Toledo Peoria & Western 4020 and sold to Genesee & Wyoming and sent as Indiana Southern 4020.

4086, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38566, FN 7340-22. It was renumbered 6841 in 1986 and later CSX 6841, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was rebuilt as RP39-2C by Morrison Knudsen in September 1991 and was completed on September 20, 1991, as Virginia Railway Express V08.

4087, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38567, FN 7340-23.  It was renumbered 6842 in 1986 and became CSX 6842, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold as National Railway Equipment Co 6842 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen Corp as 4305.  It was sold to Progress Rail as PRLX 4305 in 2007.

4088, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38568, FN 7340-24.  It was renumbered 6843 in 1986 and became CSX 6843, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold as Wisconsin Central Ltd 3010.

4089, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38569,FN 7340-25. It later was renumbered 6844 in 1986 and later became CSX 6844, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was rebuilt as a GP40-3 as Florida East Coast 447.

4090, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39236, FN 7340-81.  It was renumbered 6845 in 1986  and became CSX 6845, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as 6000, Class GP40-2.

4093, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39240, FN 5811-4.  It was renumbered 6849 in 1986 and became CSX 6849, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as 2350, Class Road Slug.
