Savage Companies

1360, SW1200RS, Class GR-12y, was built by General Motors in April 1960, #A1845, FN C237-3, as Canadian National 1360, Class GR-12y.  It was retired on October 9, 1998, and sold as Canac Inc 1360.  It was leased to Pioneer Chlor Alkali in May 1999 and leased to Cargil Grain in 2001.  It was terminated in 2002 and leased to PPG Standard Chemicals.  It was leased to Monsanto in early 2004 and sold to Savage Co   as SVGX 1360 in September 2009.

1704, GP7u, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1950, #12299, FN 5006-5, as Clinchfield RR 904, a GP7.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in June 1979 as 4604.  It became Seaboard System 4604 in January 1983 and renumbered 1704 in 1984.  It became CSX Transportation 1704, Class GP-16, in April 1986 and retired on January 13, 1993.  It was sold as Indiana RR 1704 in 1993 and sold as Canac 1704 in 2004.  It was sold as SVGX 1704 in 2008.

2156, GP7u, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1952, #17452, FN 5200-5, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 2797, Class 2650.  It was rebuilt at Cleburne in April 1979 as 2156, Class 2050.  It was retired in March 1989 and sold as Savage Coal Terminal 2156 in May 1989.

3611, B36-7, was built by General Electric in November 1980, #43140, as AT&SF 7494, Class 7484.  It was returned to GE for the GE lease fleet in August 1989 and sold to British Columbia Rail as 7494 on November 3, 1995.  It was later rebuilt and renumbered 3611 in 1996.  It was sold as SVGX 3611 and assigned as Savage Alberta Ry 3611.  It was sold as Peterson Industrial Depot 3611.

  

3612, B36-7, was built by General Electric in November 1980, #43141, as AT&SF 7495, Class 7484.  It was returned to GE for the GE lease fleet in August 1989 and sold to BCOL as 7495 on November 3, 1995.  It was later rebuilt and renumbered 3612 in 1996.  It was sold as SVGX 3612.

7106, SW1200RS, was built by General Motors in January 1957, #A1029, FN C215-10, as Canadian National 1257, Class GR-12h.  It was rebuilt at Pointe Ste Charles in 1987 as 7106, Class GS-412b, and retired on February 29, 2000.    It was sold as Canac 7106 in 2000, and sold as SVGX 7106.

7312, SW1200RS, was built by General Motors in September 1957, #A1171, FN C228-5, as CN 1275, Class GR-12k.  It was rebuilt at Pointe Ste Charles in 1987 as 7312, Class GS-412a.  It was retired on March 3, 2000, and sold as Canac 7312 in 2000.  It was sold as SVGX 7312 and sold as Northwestern Oklahoma RR 7312.

8609, GP9u, was built by General Motor in February 1956, #A811, FN C195-7. as Canadian National 2006, Class GF-17c.  It was renumbered 4457 in 1956 and rebuilt in 1984 as 4033, Class GR-418k.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 4033 in 2007  It was sold as SVGX 8609 in 2008.

8616, GP38-3, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1970, #36330, FN 7257-18, as Louisville & Nashville 4017, Class GP-38.  It became Seaboard System 4017 in January 1983 and renumbered 6238 in 1984.  It became CSX Transportation 2147, Class GP-38, in April 1987 and sold to Helm Leasing as 2147.  It was rebuilt by Motive Power Industries at Boise on November 27, 1996, as Union Pacific 2405, Class GP38-3, on November 27, 1996. It was renumbered 905 on 13, 2001, and retired on November 26, 2007.  It was rebuilt by Coast Engine & Equipment in May 2008 as SVGX 8616.

8734, GP9u, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1957, #23704, FN 5552-49, as Union Pacific 348, Class GP-9.  It was retired in May 1978 and sold to Precision National Corp on January 23, 1979.  It was sold to Illinois Central Gulf and rebuilt as 8734, GP11, in April 1980.  It was sold to Canac Intl as CANX 8734 on February 14,  2001, and sold as SVGX 8734 in 2009.
