General Motors Rebuilt GP9 Diesels

4002, Class GR-418a, was built in April 1956, #A825, FN C195-21, as 2020, Class GR-17f.  It was renumbered 4471 in 1956 and rebuilt in 1981 as 4002, Class GR-418a.  It retired on November 9, 1998, and sold to Progress Rail in 1999.  It was sold as Heart of Georgia RR 1209 in 2000 and resold as Massachusetts Coastal RR 2008 in 2007.

4010, Class GR-418a, was built in November 1957, #A1310, FN C234-15, as 4574,  Class GR-17m.  It was wrecked at Ridgeway, ON, on August 5, 1971, and rebuilt.  It was rebuilt in 1982 as 4010, Class GR-418a, and sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 4440 in 2007.

4011, Class GR-418a, was built in January 1958, #A1333, FN C238-7, as 4594, Class GR-17r.  It was rebuilt in 1992 as 4011, Class GS-418a.

4013, Class GR-418b, was built in July 1956, #A852, FN C195-47, as 4494, Class GR-17f.  It was rebuilt in June 1982 as 4013, Class GR-418b.  It was transferred to Cando Contracting in 2004.

4020, Class GR-418b, was built in March 1955, #A656, FN C184-14, as 1737, Class GR-17a.  It was renumbered 4413 in 1956 and rebuilt in 1983 as 4020, Class GR-418b.  It was retired on November 9, 1998, and sold to Cando Contracting in 1999.  It was became Central Manitoba Ry 4000.

   

4022, Class GR-418c, was built in March 1959, #A1654, FN C257-27, as 4297, Class GR-17u.  It was rebuilt in February 1984 as 4022, Class GR-418c.

4028, Class GR-418c, was built in December 1956, #A1001, FN C213-25, as 4526, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in June 1984 as 4028, Class GR-418c.

4033, Class GF-418k, was built in February 1956, #A811, FN C195-7. as 2006, Class GF-17c.  It was renumbered 4457 in 1956 and rebuilt in 1984 as 4033, Class GR-418k.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 4033 in 2007  It was sold to Savage Inc as SVGX 8609 in 2008.

4103, Class GR-418d, was built in March 1959, #A1652, FN C257-25, as 4295, Class GR-17u.  It was rebuilt in May 1984 as 4103, Class GR-418d, and retired on June 1, 2000.  It was sold to Cando Rail Service and sent as Athabaska Northern Ry 4005 in June 2001.  It was sold to Rail Trust Equipment Co as RTEX 4005 in 2008

4106, Class GR-418d, was built in September 1957, #A1284, FN C235-23, as 4122, Class GR-17p.  It was rebuilt in June 1984 as 4106, Class GR-418d, and retired on August 16, 2001.  It was sold to Larry's Truck & Equipment in 2003.

4109, Class GR-418d, was built in October 1957, #A1286 FN C235-25, as 4124, Class GR-17p.  It was planned for renumbering as 4379 but was rebuilt in October 1984 as 4109, Class GR-418d.

4111, Class GR-418d, was built in May 1959, #A1683, FN C257-56, as 4326, Class GR-17u. It was rebuilt in October 1984 as 4111, Class GR-418d.

4112, Class GR-418d, was built in April 1958, #A1515, FN C250-5, 4249, Class GR-17t.  It was rebuilt in October 1984 as 4112, Class GR-418d.

4120 Class GR-418c, was built in April 1955, #A664, FN C184-22, as 1745, Class GR-17a.  It was renumbered 4421 in 1956 and rebuilt in September 1989 as 4120, Class GR-418c.  It was retired on June 1, 2000, and sold as ANY 4006 in June 2001.

4128, Class GR-418e, was built in January 1959, #A1629, FN C257-2, as 4272, Class GR-17u.  It was rebuilt in February 1990 as 4128, Class GR-418e, and retired on August 16, 2001.  It was sold as ANY 4008 in 2004.

4132, Class GR-418f, was built in December 1957, #A1418, FN C226-4, as Northern Alberta Ry 204 "Westlock".  It was transferred as CN 4605, Class GR-17za, in 1981 and rebuilt in March 1991 as 4132, Class GR-418f,

4141, Class GR-418f, was built in March 1958, #A1354, FN C239-16, as 4141, Class GR-17q.  It was rebuilt in April 1991 as 4141, Class GR-418f.

7003, Class GS-418a, was built in May 1956, #A837, FN C195-30, as 4480, Class GR-17f.  It was rebuilt in 1985 as 7003, Class GS-418a, and sold to Progress Rail as PRLX 7003 in 2007.

7004, Class GS-418a, was built in June 1956, #A842, FN C195-37, as 4483, Class GR-17f.  It was rebuilt in March 1985 as 7004, Class GS-418a, and retired on April 24, 2000.  It was sold as Societe du Port Ferroviaire de Baie-Comeau - Hauterive 7004.

7006, Class GS-418a, was built in December 1956, #A994, FN C213-18, as 4519, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in 1985 as 7006, Class GS-418a.

7007, Class GS-418a, was built in December 1956, #A996, FN C213-20, as 4521, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in March 1985 as 7007, Class GS-418a.

7021, Class GS-418b, was built in October 1957, #A1287, FN C235-26, as 4125, Class GR-17p.  It was renumbered 4380 in 1984 and rebuilt in August 1991 as 7021, Class GS-418b.  It was wrecked on May 6, 1997, and scrapped on August 27, 1997.

7030, Class GR-418p, was built in September 1953, #A1772, FN C263-8, as 4154, Class GR-17y.  It was renumbered 4394 in 1984 and rebuilt as 7030, Class GS-418b, in 1991.  It was sold as Florida Central RR 7030 in 2012.

7032, Class GS-418b, was built in January 1957, #A1008, FN C213-32, as 4533, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in 1991 as 7032, Class GS-418b.

7036, Class GS-418b, was built in April 1955, #A668, FN C184-26, as 1749, Class GR-17a.  It was renumbered 4425 in 1956 and rebuilt in 1991 as 7036, Class GF-418b.

7041, Class GS-418b, was built in February 1955, #A644, FN C184-2, as 1725, Class GR-17a.  It was renumbered 4401 in 1956 and retired on December 10, 1991.  It was rebuilt as 7041, Class GS-418b, in January 1992.

7043, Class GS-418b, was built in February 1955, #A646, FN C184-4, as 1727, Class GR-17a.  It was renumbered 4403 in 1956 and rebuilt as 7043, Class GS-418d, in 1992.  It was wrecked at Prince George, BC, on August 4, 2007, and retired the next day.

7046, Class GR-418c, was built in January 1957, #A1007, FN C213-31, as 4532, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in 1992 as 7046, Class GS-418c.

7065, Class GR-418c, was built in January 1958, #A1329, FN C238-3, as 4590, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt 1992 as 7065, Class GS-418c.

7071, Class GS-418c, was built in January 1957, #A1012, FN C213-36, as 4537, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in October 1992 as 7071, Class GS-418c.

7074, Class GS-418c, was built in January1959, #A1638, FN C257-8, as 4278, Class GR-17u.  It was rebuilt in 1992 as 704, Class GS-418c.

7078, Class GS-418c, was built in November 1956, #A977, FN C213-1, as 4502, Class GR-17h.  It was rebuilt in February 1993 as 7078, Class GS-418c.

7218, Class GY-418b, was built in December 1957, #A1322, FN FN C234-27, as 4586, Class GR-17m.  It was rebuilt in June 1986 as 7218, Class GY-418b.

7242, Class GY-418d, was built in March 1958, #A1353, FN C234-13, as 4240, Class GR-17q.  It was rebuilt in May 1988 as 7242, Class GY-418d.

7254, Class GY-418e, was built in July 1957, #A1262, FN C235-1, as 4100, Class GR-17p.  It was renumbered 4360 in 1984 and rebuilt in May 1990 as 7254, Class GY-418e.

7255, Class GY-418e, was built in June 1957, #A1251, FN C233-12, as 4599, Class GR-17n.  It was renumbered 4217 in 1957 and rebuilt in June 1990 as 7255. Class GY-418e.
