This was a former Southern Pacific subsidiary.


San Joaquin Valley RR

101, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1954, #19110, FN 5320-20, as Union Pacific 224.  It was retired in February 1979 and sold to Morrison Knudsen on October 1, 1979.  It was rebuilt on March 21, 1980, as San Diego & Arizona Eastern 101 and later transferred as Kyle RR 101.  It later was transferred as SJVRR 101 and sold to Western Rail Inc as 1761.  It later became Lake County RR 1761 in October 2005.

107, GP15-1, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1976, #757142-19, FN 757142-19, as Chicago & North Western 4418.  It was retired on January 10, 1992, and returned to GMAC in March 1992.   It was sold as CFNR 107 in October 1993 and transferred as San Joaquin Valley RR 107 in 2003.  It was returned as CFNR 107 and returned to General American Transportation Co as GMTX 429 in October 2013.  It was leased to Richardson Pioneer.

110, GP15-1, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1976, #757142-22, FN 757142-22, as C&NW 4421.  It was retired on January 10, 1992, and returned to GMAC in March 1992.  It was sold as California Northern RR 110 in October 1993 and transferred as SJVR 110 in 2003.

1751, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1955, #19968, #FN 5367-4, as Texas & New Orleans 420, Class DF-604.  It was renumbered Southern Pacific 3432, Class EF418-4, in 1966 and rebuilt as 3312, Class EP418E-1, in 1970.  It was sold as Arizona Eastern RR 1751 in 1988 and transferred as SJVR 1751.  It was sold as Great Smoky Mountain RR 1751.

1754, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1954, #19477, FN 5334-6, as T&NO 245, Class DF-601 .  The steam generator was removed in 1959.  It was renumbered SP 3416, Class EF418-2, in 1955 and rebuilt on June 22, 1972, as 3357, Class EF418E-2.  It was sold as Arizona Eastern RR 1754 in 1988 and transferred as SJVR 1754.  It was sold as San Pedro & Southwestern 901 in 2004 and transferred as Coos Bay Rail Link 901 in May 2014.  It was sold as Scoular Co in July 2015 as SCOX 901.

1755, GP9, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1956, #21359, FN 5436-41, as SP 5666, Class DF-607.  It was renumbered 3499, Class EF418-6, in 1966 and rebuilt as 3397, Class EF418E-2, in 1974.   It was sold as AZER 1755 in 1988 and transferred as SJVR 1755.  It was sold as GSMR 1755.

2035, GP20, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1962, #27102, FN 5634-16, as SP 7215, Class DF-617.  It was renumbered 4065, Class EF420-1, in 1966 and rebuilt as 4100, Class EF420-2, in 1988.  It was sold as Kyle 2035 and later transferred as SJVR 2035.

2038, GP20, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1962, #27106, FN 5634-20, as SP 7219, Class DF-617.  It was renumbered 4069, Class EF420-1, in 1966 and rebuilt at Houston as 4116, Class EF420-R02, on May 27, 1977.  It was retired on December 17, 1986.  It was sold as Kyle 2038 and transferred as San Pedro & Southwestern 2038.  It was transferred as SJVR 2038 and sold to Bro-Tex International Metals in October 2011.

2042, GP20, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1961, #26313, FN 7565-10, as SSW 809, Class Z20B-B.  It was renumbered 4039, Class EF420C-1, in 1966 and rebuilt at Sacramento as 4139, Class EF420-S01, on February 14, 1975.  It was retired on March 14, 1991, and sold as Kyle 2042.  It was transferred as San Joaquin Valley RR 2042 and sold to Bro-Tex International Metals in October 2011.

2043, GP20, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1961, #26943, FN 7611-1, as SSW 810, Class Z20B-B.  It was renumbered 4040, Class EF420C-2, in 1966 and rebuilt at Sacramento as 4149, Class EF420-S02, on November 30, 1977.  It was retired on April 29, 1991, and sold as Kyle 2043.  It was transferred as SJVR 2043 and sold to Bro-Tex International Metals in October 2011.

2501, GP35, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1963, #28403, FN 7662-6, as Western Pacific 3006, Class RS-65.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in 1980 and became Union Pacific 787 on January 19, 1984.  It was retired on January 1, 1993, and sold to Kyle as  SJVR 2501.  It was transferred as Arizona Eastern Ry 2501 in 2001.  It was sold to Watco Co as WAMX 3536.

2502, GP35, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1965, #30219, FN 7790-3, as WP 3015, Class RS-65.  It became UP 794 on April 16, 1984, and was retired on January 1, 1993.  It was sold to Kyle in April 1993 as SJVR 2502.  It was transferred as AZER 2502 in 2001.  It was sold as WAMX 3537.

3824, GP38AC, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1967, #33365, FN 7060-48, as Baltimore & Ohio 3847, Class GP-38.  It was renumbered 2047 in 1986 and became CSX Transportation 2047, Class GP-38, in 1987.  It was sold to Phoenix Locomotive Leasing and planned as Consolidated Railroad Corp 7601 but became Conrail Leasing 300 in 1994.  It was rebuilt in December 1994 as Central Oregon & Pacific 5047 on December6, 1994, and renumbered 3824 in 1998.  It was transferred as SJVR 3824 in November 2013.

3829 GP38, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1969, #35388, FN 7191-85, as Penn Central 7759, Class EF-20.  It became Conrail 7759, Class GP-38, in April 1976 and sold as Pittsburgh & Lake Erie 2028, Class EF-20.  It was sold to Conrail Leasing Co and planned as CRL 335 but sold as CORP 5528.  It was renumbered 3829 and transferred as SJVR 3829.  It was rebuilt at Juniata by Railpower in March 2013, #RP178-003, as Dallas Garland & NorthEastern 144, RP20BD.

3870, GP38, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1969, #35447, FN 7202-4, as PC 7818, Class EF-20.  It became Conrail 7818, Class GP-38. in April 1976 and became P&LE 2040, Class EF-20.  It became CRL 344 and sold as Cascade & Columbus River RR 344 in 1996.  It was transferrred as Esquimalt & Naniamo Ry 344 in 1999.  It was renumbered 3890 in 2000 and transferred as SJVRR 3870 in 2006.


San Pedro & Southwestern RR

1736, GP9m, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1956, #22630, FN 5499-6, as Seaboard Air Line RR 1959, a GP9.  It became Seaboard Coast Line 1033 in July 1967 and rebuilt at Uceta in December 1981 as SCL 4636.  It became Seaboard System 4636 in January 1983 and renumbered 1736 in 1984.  It became CSX Transportation 1736, Class GP-16, in April 1986 and retired on February 19, 1993.  It was sold as Indiana Rail Road 1736 and sold as SPSW 1736 in April 2005.

2426, GP30, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1962, #27213, FN 7622-27, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 1226, Class 1200.  It was renumbered 3226, Class 3200, in 1970 and rebuilt at Cleburne as 2726, Class 2700, in July 1983.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 2426, Class GP30, in August 1999 and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment in August 2011.  It was sold as San Pedro & Southwestern RR 2426 in May 2012.
