Electric City Trolley Museum

Buckingham Valley Trolley Associated

ECTM was a museum which is a change from the BVTA,

7 was built by Brill Car Co in May 1940, #23961, as Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co 7.  It became SEPTA 7 in 1970 and sold to Buckingham Valley Trolley Co in 1982.  It was sold to Electric City Trolley Museum in 1999 and was planned for scrap.

9 was built by Brill Car Co in May 1940, #23961, as PST 9.  It became SEPTA 9 in 1970 and sold to Buckingham Valley Trolley Co in 1982,  It was sold to Electric City Trolley Museum in 1999.

McAndrews & Forbes 10 was built by General Electric in 1925.  It was first preserved by Trolley Valhalla and acquired by BVTA in 1975.  It was moved to Scranton in 1999,

46 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1907, #680, as Philadelhia & Western  RR 46.  It was rebuilt as 446 in 1929 and became Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co 446 in 1948.  It became Southeastern Pennnsylvania Transportation Authority 446 in 1970.  It was acquired by Buckingham Valley Trolley Association in 1976 and restored it as P&W 46.  It then went to ECTM in 1999.

76 was built by Pullman-Standard in 1947, #W6820, a sShaker Heights Rapid Transit 76.  It was preserved by Trolleyville in 2003 and sent to Lake Shore Electric Ry in 2006.  It was purchased by Electric City Museum in 2009 and sent to Northern Ohio Railway Museum in 2009. It was planned to be scrapped.

 

85 was built by Brill Car Co in March 1932, #22980, as Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co 85.  It became Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority 85 in 1970 and  preserved by East Penn Traction in 1982.  It went to ECTM in 1999 and went to National Capital Trolley Museum in 2012.

120 was built by Laclede Car Co in 1904, as Delaware Electric Power Co 120.  It was sold to Philadelphia Transportation Co and rebuilt as rail grinder W58.  It became Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority W58 in 1968 and retired in 1971.  It was acquired by Trolley Valhalla for restoration in 1971 and acquired by BVTA in 1975. It was moved to Scranton in 1999,

164 was built by Brill in June 1927, #22529, as Philadelphia & Western Ry 64.  It was rebuilt as 164 in 1931 and became Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co 164 in 1948.  It became Southeastern Pennnsylvania Transportation Authority 164 in 1970 and became a de-icing car in 1989.  It was sold to Travel Northern Allegheny in 1992 but never used.  It was sold to East Troy Electric Ry in 1994 and rebuilt as ETER  64 in 2000.  It was sold to ECTM and will be restored as P&W 164.

324 was built by Brill Car Co in 1903, #12521, as Scranton Transit Co 324.  It was rebuilt in 1916 and retired in 1941.  The body was acquired by ECTM in 2000.

401 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1907, #581, as Philadelphia & Western 1.  It was renumbered 401 in 1930 and became PST 401 in 1948.  It became SEPTA 401 in 1970 and acquired by Buckingham Valley Trolley Association in 1990.  It was acquired by ECTM in 1999.

453 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717, as Chicago Aurora & Elgin  453.  It was sold to Trolleyville in 1962 and transferred as Lake Shore Electric Ry in 2006.  It was sold as ECTM in 2009.

 

505 was built by Osgood-Bradley Co in 1929 as Scranton Transit Co 505.  The frame  was acquired by Rail City in 1955 and sent to Magee Trolley Museum in 1965,  It was then sent to Rockhill Trolley Museum in 1973 and then ECTM.

506 was built by Osgood-Bradley Car Co in 1920, #6240, as Reading Transit & Light Co 506.  It was retired in 1947 and acquired by BVT and transferred at ECTM in 1999.

651 was built by Brill Car Co in 1898 as Third Avenue Railway 651.  It became Union Ry 931 and was sold  as Five Mile Beach Electric Ry 24 in1915.  It was retired in 1945 and the body was found by Buckingham Valley Trolley Assn in 1960y.  It is being restored by ECTM.

801 was built by Jewett Car in 1912, as Lehigh Valley Transit 801.  It was retired in 1939 and the body was acquired by Magee Trolley Museum in 1967.  It was then presered by Liberty Bell Jewett Society in 1973 and then by East Penn Penn Valley Traction in 1980.  It was finally by ESTM in 1999.

1227 was built by Kuhlman Car in 1914, #583  as Cleveland Rys 1227.  It was sold to Cleveland Interurban  in 1921 as 1227.  In 1944 it was renumbered Shaker Heights Rapid Transit 27 and sold as National Capital Trolley Museum in 1960.  It was then sold to Trolley Valhalla in 1968 and resold again as BVTA in 1975.  It was sold then Buckeye Lake Trolley and finally to Seashore Trolley Museum.

2054 was built by St Louis Car in February 1941, #1625, as Philadelphia Transportation Co 2054.  It became Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority in 1968 and acquired by ECTM in 2005

2282 was built by Brill Car Co in 1906, #15199, as Philadelphia Rapid Transit 2282.  It was sold as Shamokin & Edgewood Electric Co unknown number in 1928 and retired about 1938.  The body was sold as a dwelling and rescued by Magee in 1967.  It was acquired by Liberty Bell Jewett Society in 1973 and then by East Penn Valley Traction in 1980.  It then went to ECTM in 1999.

5205 was built by Brill Car Co in 1923, #21709, as Philadelphia Rapid Transit 5287.  It was renumbered 5205 in 1926.  It was acquired by Trolley Valhalla in 1957 and acquired by Buckingham Valley Trolley Assn in 1975.  It became ECTM in1999.

8534 was built by Brill Car in 1926, #22353, as Phildadelphia Rapid Transit 8534.  It became Philadelphia Transportation Co 8354 in 1940.  It was acquired by Trolley Valhalla in 1958 and sent to Buckingham Valley Trolley Association in 1975.  It became Electric City Trolley Museum

D7 was built by PRT in 1908 as 2624, coal motor car.  It was renumbered in 1911 and later used as a vacuum cleaner car.  It was acquired by Trolley Valhalla in 1971 and  by Buckingham Valley Trolley Assn in 1973.  It became ECTM in 1998.

D37 was built by PRT in 1922, line car, D37.  It became PTC in 1940 and SEPTA in 1968.  It was acquired as Buckingham Valley Trolley Assn in 1988 and became ECTM in 1998.
