St. Louis Cars 451-460
These 10 cars were the last cars and were built by St. Louis Car in October 1945. They had been ordered in 1941 but were held up by World War II. They had to be able to operate with older equipment, and this precluded any radical design. They were highly improved over earlier cars.
451 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717. It was sold to Trolleyville in 1962 and lettered as Columbia Park & Southwestern. It was transferred as Lake Shore Electric Ry in 2006. It was sold to Illinois Railway Museum in December 2009.
452 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717.
453 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717. It was sold to Trolleyville in 1962 and transferred as Lake Shore Electric Ry in 2006. It was sold as Electric City Trolley Museum in 2009.
454 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717.
455 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717.
456 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717.
457 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717.
458 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717.
460 was built by St Louis Car Co in September 1945, #1717. It was sold to Trolleyville in 1962and was transferred as LSE in 2006. It was sold to IRM in December 2009.
