Electro-Motive GP40-3 Rebuilt Diesels

 

3152, GP40-3, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1971, #37847, FN 7332-10, as Western Pacific 3536, Class RS-68.  It became Union Pacific 684, Class GP40, in August 1985 and retired on September 30, 1986.  It was returned to Helm as HLCX 684 and in April 1987 it became Chicago Missouri & Western as 3019.  It became Gateway Western 3019 in January 1990 and sold as KCS 3019.  It was rebuilt as 3151.

4736, GP40-3, was built in March 1966, #31612, FN 7876-3, as Chicago Milwaukee St Paul & Pacific 182, Class 30E-RS.  It was renumbered 2002 in 1968 and assigned as Soo 4641.  It became Soo Line RR 2002 in 1985.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in 1992 and rebuilt in 1994 as Kansas City Southern 4736, GP40-2P.  It was sold as Southwest Pennsylvania RR 4005 in 2011 and transferred as Allegheny Valley RR 4005 in 2016.

4738, GP40-3, was built in January 1967, #32475, FN 7936-6, as CMStP&P 158, Class 30E-RS. It was renumbered 2031 in 1968 and became Soo Line RR 2031 in 1985. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NREX 2031 in 1992 and rebuilt in 1994 as KCS 4738, GP40-2P.  It was renumbered 2815 in 2005.

4739, GP40-3, was built in March 1966, #31675, FN 7876-10, as CMStP&P 189, Class 30E-RS.  It was renumbered 2009 in 1968 and became Soo Line RR 2009 in 1985.  It had been assigned 4643, but was retired in October 1992.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment and rebuilt as KCS 4739, GP40-3.  It was renumbered 2803 in 2005.

4741, GP40-3, was built in February 1968, #33741, FN 7057-1, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 620.  It became Burlington Northern 3020, Class GP-40, in 1970, and retired in April 1984.  It was sold as Helm Leasing Corp 3020 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NHL 3020.  It was rebuilt by VMV Enterprises in June 1994 as KCS 4741 and renumbered 2825 in 2006.  It was sold as Locomotive Leasing Partners 9902 and sold as Allegheny Valley RR 4004 in 2011.

4742, GP40-3, was built in December 1966, #32579, FN 7940-14, as CB&Q 183.  It became BN 3013, Class GP-40, in 1970, and retired in January 1987.  It was sold as NHL 3013 in January 1987 and rebuilt by VMV Enterprises in June 1994 as KCS 4742.  It was renumbered 2804 in 2006 and sold as LLPX 9906.

4744, GP40-3, was built in August 1971, #38480, FN 7340-26, as Baltimore & Ohio 4000, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9000 from August 13, 1979, until January 1980.  It was renumbered 6576 in 1986 and became CSX 6576, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was retired in May 1930, #1992 and sold to National Railway Equipment on June 11, 1993.   It was rebuilt by VMV as KCS 4744, GP40-2P in April 1994 and renumbered 2851 in 2006.

4745, GP40-3, was built in January 1970, #35105, FN 7183-27, as Seaboard Coast Line 1592.  It became Seaboard System RR 1592 in January 1983 and later 6747 in 1984.  It then became CSX Transportation 6747, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by VMV in June 1994 as KCS 4745 and renumbered 2846 in 2005.

4746, GP40-3,was built in August 1971, #38486, FN 7340-32, as B&O 4006, Class GP-40. It was renumbered 6581 in 1986 and then became CSX 6581, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was retired on January 13, 1993, and sold to National Railway Equipment on March 10, 1993, It was rebuilt by VMV as KCS 4746, GP40-2P, in June 1994 and renumbered 2852 in 2005.

4747, GP40-3, was built in March 1967, #32155, FN 7948-2, as Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac 127. It became CSX 6861, Class GP-40, in 1991. It was purchased by National Railway Equipment and rebuilt by VMV in July 1994 as KCS 4747.

4749, GP40-3, was built in January 1971 #36736, FN 7275-16, as B&O 3755, Class GP-40. It was renumbered in 1979 and 1980 numbered 9755 temporary. It later was renumbered 6531 and then became CSX 6531, Class GP-40. It was damaged and retired on January 13, 1993. It was purchased by National Railway Equipment on May 3, 1993, and was rebuilt by VMV as KCS 4749 in March 1994.  It was renumbered 2853 in 2005.

4751, GP40-3, was built in May 1970, #35916, FN 7229-20, as SCL 1615,  It became SBD 1615 in January 1983 and renumbered 6769 in 1984.  It later became CSX 6769, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and was rebuilt by AMF in February 1994 as KCS 4751.  It was wrecked at Newton, MS, on July 10, 1999.

4752, GP40-3, was built in September 1967, #33460, FN 7075-12, as Louisville & Nashville 3021, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3021 in January 1983 and renumbered 6817 in 1984.  It later became CSX 6817, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and was rebuilt  by AMF in March 1993 as KCS 4752.  It was renumbered 2818 in 2005.

4753, GP40-3, was built in January 1970, #35086, FN 7183-8, as SCL 1573.  It became SBD 1573 in January 1983 and renumbered 6728 in 1984.  It became CSX 6728, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by AMF in March 1994 as KCS 4753 and renumbered 2844 in 2005.

4759, GP40-3, was built in December 1969, #35089, FN 7183-11, as SCL 1576. It then became SBD as 1576 and later 6731 and then CSX 6731, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt by AMF in May 27, 1994, as KCS 4759

4765, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31662, FN 7378-1, as Western Pacific 3501, Class RS-68.  It became Union Pacific 651, Class GP-40, on December 30, 1983, and transferred as Missouri Pacific 651 on May 22, 1985.  It was returned as UP 651 on April 17, 1988, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as KCS 4765 on November 12, 1993, and renumbered 2806 in 2005.

4766, GP40-3,  was built in May 1966, #31663, FN 7878-2, as WP 3502, Class RS-68. It became UP 652, Class GP-40, on January 9, 1984, and was retired on April 5, 1993. It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on November 20, 1993, as KCS 4766 and later sold to National Railway Equipment Co.

4767, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31664, FN 7878-3, as WP 3503, Class RS-68.  It became UP 653, Class GP-40, on April 18, 1984, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on November 20, 1993, as KCS 4767.  It was renumbered 2808 in 2005.

4768, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31665, FN 7878-4, as WP 3504, Class RS-68.  It became UP 654, Class GP40, on January 20, 1984, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on December 9, 1993, as KCS 4768, GP40-3.  It was renumbered 2809 in 2005.

4770, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31668, FN 7878-7, as WP 3507, Class RS-68.  It became UP 656, Class GP40, on May 9, 1984, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on November 6, 1993 as KCS 4770.  It was rebuilt 2811 in 2005.

4771, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31669, FN 7878-8, as WP 3508, Class RS-68.  It became UP 657, Class GP-40, on April 13, 1984, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on December 16, 1993, as KCS 4771 and renumbered 2812 in 2005.

4772, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31670, FN 7878-9, as WP 3509, Class RS-68.  It became UP 658, Class GP40, on November 23, 1983, and retired on April 5,, 1993  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on December 21, 1993, as KCS 4772 and renumbered 2813 in 2005.

4773, GP40-3, was built in May 1966, #31671, FN 7878-10, as WP 3510, Class RS-68.  It became UP 659, Class GP40, on July 9, 1984, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison-Knudsen where it was rebuilt on December 27, 1993, as KCS 4773 and renumbered 2814 in 2005.

4774, GP40-3, was built in March 1967, #33056, FN 7981-1, as WP 3511, Class RS-68.  It became UP 660, Class GP40, on July 16, 1984, and was retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on January 4, 1994, as KCS 4774 and renumbered 2819 in 2005.

4776, GP40-3, was built in March 1967, #33058, FN 7981-3, as WP 3513, Class RS-68.  It became UP 662, Class GP40, on March 4, 1984, and transferred as MP 662 on May 21, 1984.  It became UP 662 on April 26, 1989, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on January 11, 1994, as KCS 4776 and renumbered 2821 in 2005.

4778, GP40-3, was built in March 1967, #33060, FN 7981-5, as WP 3515, Class RS-68.  It became UP 664, Class GP40, on December 10, 1965, and was retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on January 25, 1994, as KCS 4778 and renumbered 2823 in 2005.

4779, GP40-3, was built in April 1967, #33061, FN 7981-6, as WP 3516, Class RS-68.  It became UP 665, Class GP40, on April 6, 1984, and transferred as MP 665 on May 23, 1985.  It was returned as UP 665 on March 12, 1988, and retired on April 5, 1993.  It went to Morrison Knudsen where it was rebuilt on January 27, 1994, as KCS 4779 and renumbered 2824 in 2005.

4780, GP40-3, was built in November 1968, #34618, FN 7145-8, as Penn Central 3177, Class EF-30. It became Consolidated Railroad Corp 3177, Class GP-40, in April 1973, and was sold to KCS as 752 in January 1984. It was renumbered 4752 in June 1991 and then rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in October 4, 1991, as KCS 4780.  It was renumbered 2827 in 2005.

4781, GP40-3,  was built in November 1968, #34622, FN 7142-11, as PC 3181, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3181, Class GP-40, in April 1976 and was sold to KCS as 766 in January 1984.  It was renumbered 4755 in June 1991 and rebuilt as GP40-3 by Morrison-Knudsen on October 9, 1991, as KCS 4781.  It was renumbered 2828 in 2006.

4783, GP40-3, was built in September 1968, #34327, FN 7127-46, as PC 3150, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3150, Class GP-40, in April 1973 and sold to KCS as 775 in September 1983.  It was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen as KCS 4783 on Ocober 18, 1991.  It was renumbered 2830 in 2005.

4787, GP40-3, was built in October 1968, #34613, FN 7145-3, as PC 3172, Class EF-30. It became Conrail 3172, Class GP-40, in April 1973 and was sold to KCS  749 in January 1984. It was renumbered 4749 in June 1949 and then rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in December 1991 as KCS 4787.   It was renumbered 2834 in 2005.

4783, GP40-3, was built in November 1968, #34627, FN 7145-17, as PC 3186, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3186, Class GP-40, in Apil 1976 and was sold to KCS as 758 in January 1984.  It was renumbered 4758 in June 1991 and then rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as GP40-3 as KCS 4788 on Dececember 9, 1991.  It was renumbered 2835 in 2005.

4789, GP40-3, was built in November 1968, #34614, FN 7145-4, as PC 3173, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3173, Class GP-40, in April 1973 and sold to KCS as 750 in January 1984.  It was renumbered 4750 in June 1991 and rebuilt as GP40-3 by Morrison-Knudsen in December 1991 as 4789.  It was renumbered 2836 in 2005.

4790, GP40-3, was built in November 1968, #34619, FN 7145-9, as PC 3178, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3178, Class GP-40, in April 1976, and was sold to KCS as 753 in January 1984.  It was renumbered 4753 in June 1991 and then rebuilt as GP40-3 by Morrison-Knudsen on December 12, 1991, as KCS 4790.  It was renumbered 2837 in 2005.

4791, GP40-3, was built in September 1968, #34308, FN 7127-27, as PC 3131, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3131, Class GP-40, in April 1976, and sold as KCS 761 in September 1983.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in December 1991 as KCS 4791.

4792, GP40-3, was built in September 1968, #34328, FN 7127-47, as PC 3151, Class EF-30. It became Conrail 3151, Class GP-40, in April 1976, and was sold to KCS as 776 in September 1983. It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in December 1991 as KCS 4792.

4794, GP40-3, was built in November 1968, #34626, FN 7145-16, as PC 3185, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3185, Class GP-40, in April 1976, and was sold to KCS as 757 in September 1983.  It was renumbered 4757 in May 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in December 1991 as 4794.  It was renumbered 2841 in 2005.

4795, GP40-3, was built in November 1968, #34624, FN 7142-14, as PC 3183, Class EF-30.  It became Conrail 3183, Class GP-40, in April 1976 and was sold to KCS as 756 in January 1984.  It was renumbered 4756 in June 1991 and rebuilt as GP40-3 by Morrison-Knudsen in December 1991 as KCS 4795.  It was renumbered 2842 in 2005.

4796, GP40-3,was built in February 1981, #806041-1, FN 806041-1, as KCS 796.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in December 1991 to GP40-3 as 4796 in and renumbered 2976 in 2005.

(4799), GP40-3, was built in August 1971, #38741, FN 7332-3, as Western Pacific 3530, Class RS-68.  It was assigned Union Pacific as 678 and retired on September 30, 1986.  It was returned to Helm and in April 1987 it became Chicago Missouri & Western 3013.  It became Gateway Western 3013 in January 1990 and rebuilt by National Railway Equipment in 2000 as 4799, a GP40-3.  It became KCS 2857.

4800, GP40-3, was built in May 1979, #786186-1, FN 76186-1, as St Louis-San Francisco 750.  It became Burlington Northern 3040, Class GP40-2. in December 1980 and retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4800 in 1998 and renumbered 2950 in 2005.

4801, GP40-3, was built in May 1979, #786186-2, FN 786186-2, as SL-SF 751.  It became BN 3041, Class GP40-2, in December 1980, and was retired in September 1997.  It was sold as KCS 3041 in 1997 and rebuilt by VMV as 4801 in 1998.  It was renumbered 2951 in 2005.

4802, GP40-3, was built in May 1979, #786186-3, FN 786186-3, as SL-SF 752.  It became BN 3042, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4802 in 1998 and retired in July 2006.

4803, GP40-3, was built in May 1979, #786186-4, FN 786186-4, as SL-SF 753.  It became BN 3043, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4803 in 1998.  It was wrecked at St Rose, LA, on October 30, 2004, and rebuilt and renumbered as 2953 in 2005.

4804, GP40-3, was built in May 1979, #786186-5, FN 786186-5, as SL-SF 754.  It became BN 3044, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4804 in 1998 and renumbered 2954 in 2005.

4805, GP40-3, was built in May 1979, #786186-6, FN 786186-6, as SL-SF 755.  It became BN 3045, Class GP40-2, in December 1980, and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4805 in 1998 and renumbered 2955 in 2005.

4821, GP40-3, was built in June 1979, #786186-22, FN 786186-22, as SL-SF 771.  It became BN 3061, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4821 in 1998 and renumbered 2970 in 2005.

4822, GP40-3,, was built in June 1979, #786186-23, FN 786186-23, as SL-SF 772.  It became BN 3062, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4822 in 1998 and renumbered 2971 in 2005.

4823, GP40-3, was built in June 1979, #786186-24, FN 786186-24, as SL-SF 773.  It became BN 3063, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4823 in 1998 and renumbered 2972 in 2005.

4824, GP40-3, was built in June 1979, #786186-25, FN 786186-25, as SL-SF 774.  It became BN 3064, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4824 in 1998 and renumbered 2973 in 2005.
