Electro-Motive GP40 Diesels

3002, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32568, FN 7940-3, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 172.  It became BN 3002, Class GP-40,, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Electro-Motive as a GP40-2 in November 1989 as 3550, Class GP-40E.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 3025, Class GP40M, in July 1999.

3004, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32570, FN 7940-5, as CB&Q 174.  It became BN 3004, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Electro-Motive as a GP40-2 in November 1989 as 3551, Class GP-40E.  It became BNSF 3026, Class GP40M, in November 1998.

3009, Class GP-40, was built December 1966, #32575, FN 7940-10, as CB&Q 179.  It became BN 3009, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Electro-Motive as a GP40-2 in December 1989 as 3554, Class GP-40E.  It became BNSF 3029, Class GP40M, in January 2000.

3012, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32578, FN 7940-13, as CB&Q 182.  It became BN 3012, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on November 13, 1989, as a GP40-2 as 3515, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3014, Class GP40M, on September 25, 1998.

3013, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32579, FN 7940-14, as CB&Q 183.  It became BN 3013, Class GP-40, in 1970, and retired in January 1987.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as NHL 3013 in January 1987 and rebuilt by VMV Enterprises in June 1994 as Kansas City Southern 4742.  It was renumbered 2804 in 2006 and sold to Locomotive Leasing Partners as LLPX 9906.

3020, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33741, FN 7057-1, as CB&Q 620.  It became BN 3020, Class GP-40, in 1970, and retired in April 1984.  It was sold as Helm Leasing Corp 3020 and sold as NHL 3020.  It was rebuilt by VMV Enterprises in June 1994 as KCS 4741 and renumbered 2825 in 2006.  It was sold as LLPX 9902 and sold as Allegheny Valley RR 4004 in 2011.

3022, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33743, FN 7057-3, as CB&Q 622.  It became BN 3022, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in November 1989 as a GP40-2 as 3517, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3016, Class GP40M, in December 1999.

3023, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33744, FN 7057-4, as CB&Q 623.  It became BN 3023, Class GP-40. in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in November 1989 as GP40-2 as 3518, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3017, Class GP40M, in November 1999.

3024, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33745, FN 7057-5, as CB&Q 624.  It became 3024, Class GP-40, in 1970 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as 3503, Class GP40M, on November 16, 1988.  It became BNSF 3002, Class GP40M, in January 2000.

3025, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33746, FN 7057-6, as CB&Q 625.  It became BN 3025, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was wrecked, retired and scrapped in February 1989.

3028, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33749, FN 7057-9, as CB&Q 628.  It became BN 3028, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in September 1988 as a GP40-2 as 3506, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3005, Class GP40M, in April 1998.

3030, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33751, FN 7057-11, as CB&Q 630.  It became BN 3030, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in October 1988 as GP40-2 as 3508, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3007, Class GP40M, in August 1998.

3031, Class GP-40, was built in March 1966, #33752, FN 7057-12, as CB&Q 631.  It became BN 3031, Class GP-40, in 1970 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co in August 1986.  It was rebuilt as Florida East Coast 436 in March 1988.

3033, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33754, FN 7057-14, as CB&Q 633.  It became BN 3033, Class GP-40, in 1970 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on October 30, 1989, as GP40-2, as 3519, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3018, Class GP-40M, on September 17, 1998.

3035, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33869, FN 7057-16, as CB&Q 635.  It became BN 3035, Class GP-40, in 1970 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in November 1989 as GP40-2, as 3521, Class GP-40M, on November 30, 1989.  It became BNSF 3020, Class GP40M, on August 25, 1998.

3036, Class GP-40, was built in February 1968, #33870, FN 7057-17, as CB&Q 636.  It became BN 3036, Class GP-40, in 1970 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co in August 1986.  It was rebuilt as FEC 438 in April 1987.

3075, Class GP-40G, was built in February 1969, #34823, FN 7158-1, as Baltimore & Ohio 3700, Class GP-40.  It was leased as 9700 between February 1981 and April 1981.  It was returned to General American Transportation Co on May 17, 1984, as 3700.  It was rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 3075, Class GP-40G, on June 1, 1989.  It was retired on February 28, 1992, as GATX 3075.  It was leased to Missouri & Northern Arkansas as 3075  in May 1993 and then to Dallas Garland & NorthEastern as 3075 in September 1993.  It was transferred as Central Oregon & Pacific 3075 in December 1994 and as New England Central as 3075 in March 1996.  It was renumbered 4030 in 1998.

3076, Class GP-40G, was built in February 1969, #34827, FN 7158-5, as B&O 3704, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9704 in March 1984 and returned as 3704 in March 1984.  It was returned as GATX 3704 on May 17, 1984 and rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 3076, Class GP-40G, on May 26, 1989.  It was retired on February 28, 1992, and returned to GATX on June 4, 1992.  It was leased as M&NA 3076 in May 1993 and assigned as Indiana Southern RR 3076 in June 1993.  It was returned to GATX in August 1994 and leased as CORP 3076 in 1995.  It was renumbered 4021 in August 1998 and transferred as M&NA 4021 in February 2002.  It was transferred as Otter Tail Valley RR 4201.

3077, Class GP-40G, was built in February 1969, #34838, FN 7158-14, as B&O 3713, Class GP-40.  It was retired and became GATX 3713 on May 17, 1984.  It was rebuilt at Livington Rebuild Center as BN 3077, Class GP-40G, on May 13, 1988, and returned as GATX 3077 on February 28, 1992.  It was leased as M&NA 3077 in December 1992 and transferred as DGNO 3077 in September 1993.  It was transferred as CORP 3077 in August 1995 and transferred and renumbered as G-EXRR 4022 in November 1998.  It was transferred as Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia 4022 in June 1999.

3078, Class GP-40G, was built in February 1969, #34837, FN 7158-15, as B&O 3714, Class GP-40. It was returned to GATX on May 17, 1984, as 3714. It was rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 3078, Class GP-40G, on May 3, 1989. It was retired on February 28, 1992, and became GATX 3078 on June 1, 1992. It was leased to M&NA as 3078 in December 1992 and then to NEC as 3078 in January 1995. It was renumbered 4047 in July 1999 and retired in October 2011.  It was rebuilt at Juniata by Railpower in March 2013, #RP178-004, as Dallas Garland & NorthEastern 145, RP20BD.

3080, Class GP-40G, was built in March 1969, #34845, FN 7158-23, as B&O 3722, Class GP-40.  It was returned as GATX 3722 on May 17, 1984.  It was rebuilt at Livingston in 1984 and rebuilt at Livingston in June 16, 1989, as BN 3080, Class GP-40G.  It was retired on February 28, 1992, and returned to GATX.  It was leased as Virginia Southern RR 3080 in June 1993 and transferred as Godrich-Exeter RR 3080 in January 1994.  It was transferred as New England Central 3080 in May 1995 and renumbered 4048 in 1999.  It was rebuilt at Juniata by Railpower in March 2013, #RP178-005, as DGNO 146, RP20BD.

3084, Class GP-40G, was built in April 1969, #34862, FN 7158-40, as B&O 3739, Class GP-40.  It was wrecked in 1976 and restored.  It was leased as 9739 on August 13, 1979, until January 1980.  It was returned as GATX 3739 on May 17, 1984, and rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 3084, Class GP40G, in April 1989.  It was retired on February 28, 1992, and returned to GATX on June 1, 1992.  It was leased to Missouri & Northern Arkansas as 3084 in December 1992 and transferred as Salt Lake City Southern 3084 in 1995.  It was transferred as Central Oregon & Pacific 3084 and renumbered 4024 in 1998.
