796 was built in February 1981, #806041-1, FN 806041-1.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in December 1991 to GP40-3 as 4796 in and renumbered 2976 in 2005.

3041 was built in May 1979, #786186-2, FN 786186-2, as St Louis-San Francisco 751. It became Burlington Northern 3041, Class GP40-2, in December 1980, and was retired in September 1997.  It was sold as KCS 3041 in 1997 and rebuilt by VMV as 4801 in 1998.  It was renumbered 2951 in 2005.
