Alco Rebuilt RS3 Diesels

9904, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in Sep 1950, #78305, as Erie RR 1007, Class MFSA-16.  It became Erie Lackawanna 1007, Class MFSA-16, in 1960 and became Conrail 5229, Class RS-3, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt as 9904, Class RS-3M, in December 1979 and retired on September 9, 1985.

9905, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in March 1952, #79668, as Delaware Lackawanna & Western 912.  It became EL 1050, Class MFSA-16D-4, in 1960, and became Conrail 5266, Class RS-3, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt as 9905, Class RS-3M, in December 1979, and sold as Metro North Commuter RR 605 in 1983.

9910, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in March 1952, #79672, as DL&W 916.  It became EL 1054, Class MFSA-16D-4, in 1960 and in April 1976 it became Conrail 5270, Class RS-3.  It was rebuilt in October 1979 as 9910, Class RS-3M.  It was retired on April 9, 1985.

9916, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in May 1952, #79884, as New York Central 8325, Class DRSP-6g.  It was reclassified Class DRS-6g.  It was renumbered 5325, Class ARS-16, in 1966 and became Penn Central 5325, Class ARS-16, in 1968.  It became Conrail 5325, Class RS-3, in April 1976 and rebuilt in September 1979 as 9916, Class RS-3M.  It was retired on April 9, 1985.

9926, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in March 1950, #78077, as DL&W 902.  It became EL 1040, Class MFSA-16D-4, in 1960 and in April 1976 it became Conrail 5256, Class RS-3.  It was rebuilt in June 1979 as 9926, Class RS-3M.  It was later sold  to Delaware Coast Line as 1202 and later Maryland & Delaware 1202.

9931, Class RS-3M, was built by Alco in March 1953, #80243, as Central RR of New Jersey 1549, Class FPSD-46.  It became Conrail 5379, Class RS-3, and rebuilt as 9931, Class RS-3M, in 1979.  It was sold as West Jersey Short Line Inc 93 in 1985 and renumbered 7802.  It became West Jersey RR 7802 and sold  as Wabash & Grand River Ry 7802.  It was sold as Fort Smith RR 7802 on November 8, 1991.  It was transferred as Pioneer Railcorp 102 and later became Pioneer Industrial RR 102.

9933, Class RS-3M, was built by Alco in May 1952, #79893, as New York Central  8332, Class DRSP-6g, RS3.  It was reclassified Class DRS-6g.  It was renumbered 5332, Class ARS-16, in 1966 and became Penn Central 5332, Class ARS-16, in 1968.  It became Conrail 5332, Class RS-3, in April 1976 and rebuilt in April 1979 as 9933.  It was retired April 9, 1985.

9947 Class RS-3M, was built by Alco in March 1953, #80240, as CNJ 1707, Class FPSD-53.  It became Conrail 5398, Class RS-3, in April 1976 and rebuilt as 9947, Class RS-3M.

9955, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in June 1951, #78874, as NYC 8258, Class DRSP-6c, RS3.  It was renumbered 5526, Class ARS-16s, in 1966 and later became PC 5526, Class ARS-16s, in 1968.  It was rebuilt on December 31, 1973, as 9955, Class ARS-12.  It became Conrail 9955, Class RS3M, in April 1976.  It retired on June 5, 1985, and was sold for scrap to Naporano Iron & Metal Co

9982, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in December 1951, #79405, as Pennsylvania RR 8847, Class ARS-16s, RS3.  It was renumbered 5547 in 1966 and became PC 5547, Class ARS-16s, in 1966 and rebuilt as 5364, Class ARS-16.  It was rebuilt at Dewitt on February 1976 as 9982, Class ARS-12 and became Conrail 9982, Class RS3M, in April 1976.  It was retired on November 24, 1982. and traded in to Electro-Motive.

9985, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in September 1950, #78181, as New York New Haven & Hartford 534, Class DERS-2c.  It became PC 5439, Class ARS-16 in 1969 and rebuilt at Dewitt as Conrail  9985, Class RS3M, in September 1976.  It was retired on June 5, 1984.

9990, Class RS3M, was built by Alco in November 1950, #78368, as Lehigh Valley RR 216, Class DRS-2, RS3.  It was reclassified Class ASM-16.  It became Conrail 5490, Class RS-3, in April 1976 and rebuilt as 9990, Class RS3M, in June 1977.  It was retired on June 5, 1984.

9999, Class RS-3M, was built in March 1952, #79667, as DL&W 911, RS3.  It became EL 1049, Class MFSA-16D-4, in 1960 and in April 1976 it was planned as Conrail 5265, Class RS-3, but it was rebuilt in September 1978 as 9999, Class RS-3M. It was retired on August 9, 1985, and later sold to Delaware Coast Line as 1201 and later as Maryland & Delaware 1201  in March 1989.
