6800-6861

 

6802, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32448, FN 5718-6, as Louisville & Nashville 3005, Class GP-40.  It became Seaboard System 3005 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6802 in 1984 and later became CSX 6802, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was sold to Helm Leasing Co as HATX 418 and sold to Progress Rail Service as PRSX 4181.  It was sold to General American Transportation Co as GMTX 3005 in 2008.

6803, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32449, FN 5718-7, as L&N 3006, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3006 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6803 in 1984 and later became CSX 6803, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Atelier in 1992 as North Carolina Department of Transportation 1792 "City of Raleigh", GP40PH-2, and wrecked at Mebane, NC, in May 2010.  It was parted out.

6804, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32450, FN 5718-8, as L&N 3007, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3007 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6804 in 1984 and later became CSX 6804, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive in 1998 as Texas-Mexican Ry 1165 and returned to First Union Rail as FURX 1165.

6806, Class GP-40, was built in August 1967, #33449, FN 7075-1, as L&N 3010, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3010 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6806 in 1984 and later later became CSX 6806, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as Union Pacific 2512, Class GP38-3, on April 20, 1997, and renumbered 1012 on November 15, 2002.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sold to Helm as HLCX 1012.  It was sold as Wichita Tillman & Jackson 1012 in 2012.

6807, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33450, FN 7075-2, as L&N 3011, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3011 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6807 in 1984 and later CSX 6807, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  Apparently it was not relettered for a year or so.  It was rebuilt as United States Army 4653 in January 2004.

6809, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33452, FN 7075-4, as L&N 3013, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3013 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6809 in 1984 and CSX 6809, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  Apparently it was not relettered for a year or so.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as UP 2508, Class GP38-3, on March 9, 1997, and renumbered 1008 on April 10, 2002.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sold to Helm as HLCX 1008.  It was sold as WT&J 1008 in April 2012.

6811, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33454, FN 7075-6, as L&N 3015, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3015 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6811 in 1984 and later became CSX 6811, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen GP40M-2 on February 25, 1991 as SP 7294 and was assigned as UP 5429.  It became UP 1529 on August 4, 2001.

6813, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33456, FN 7075-8, as L&N 3017, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3017 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6813 in 1984 and later CSX 6813, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive as UP 2507, Class GP38-3, on March 26, 1997, and renumbered 1007 on May 30, 2002.  It was retired on November 26, 2007, and sold to Helm as HLCX 1007.

6814, Class GP-40, was built is September 1967, #33457, FN 7076-9, as L&N 3018, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3018 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6814 in 1984 and later CSX 6814, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in September 1991 and was completed on September 29, 1991, as Virginia Railway Express V09, a RP39-2C.  It was sold to Motive Power Industries as MPEX 109 in 2011and sold as Bay Line RR 2321 in 2012.

6817, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33460, FN 7075-12, as L&N 3021, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3021 in January 1983 and renumbered 6817 in 1984.  It later became CSX 6817, Class GP-40, in April 1986, and was rebuilt  by AMF in March 1993 as Kansas City Southern 4752.  It was renumbered 2818 in 2005.

6818, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33461, FN 7075-13, as L&N 3022, Class GP-40. It later became SBD 3022 in January 1983 and renumbered 6818 in 1984 and later CSX 6818, Class GP-40, in April 1986. It was rebuilt as a GP40-3 in September 1994 as FEC 445.

6824, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33467, FN 7075-19, as L&N 3028, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 3024 in January 1983 and renumbered 6824 in 1984 and later CSX 6824, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Motive Power Industries as Union Pacific 2501, GP38-3, on February 11, 1997.  It was renumbered 1001 on September 3, 2001, and retired on November 26, 2007.  It was returned as Helm Leasing Co 1001 and leased as Kansas City Southern 1001.  It was sold as Wichita Tillman & Jackson 1001 in April 2012.

6825, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33468, FN 7075-20, as L&N 3029, Class GP-40. It became SBD 3029 in January 1983 and renumbered 6825 in 1984.  It became CSX 6825, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was sold to Helm as HATX 520 in 1993 and sold to US Rail Partners as USRP 520 in 2011.  It was rebuilt as USRP 402 in 2011 and sold to Helm as HLCX 4224 in 2014.

6826, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38551, FN 7340-7, as Chesapeake & Ohio 4071, Class GP-40. It was later renumbered 6826 in 1986 and later became CSX 6826, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen to GP40M-2 on June 14, 1991, as Southern Pacific 7136.  It was assigned as UP 5414 and became UP 1514 on March 12, 2006.

6831, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38556, FN 7340-12, as C&O 4076, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6831 in 1986 and became CSX 6831, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as Helm Leasing Corp as HLCX 4402, GP40-3, and sold to Webb Asset Management as WAMX 4039 in 2005.

6833, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38558, FN 7340-14, as C&O 4078, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6833 in 1986 and later CSX 6833, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on July 16, 1991, as SP 7126 and assigned as UP 1504, Class GP40M-2.  It was apparently retired without renumbering.

6834, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38559, FN 7340-15, as C&O 4079, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6834 in 1986 and later CSX 6834, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as 2358, Class Road Slug, in April 2008.

6838, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38562, FN 7340-19, as C&O 4083, Class GP-40.  It was renumber 6838 in 1986 and later CSX 6838, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold to Helm Leasing as HLCX 665 and rebuilt as HLCX 4415, GP40-3.  It was sold to Webb Asset Management as WAMX 4036 in 2006 and assigned as South Kansas & Oklahoma RR in 2013.

6839, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38564, FN 7340-20, as C&O 4084, Class GP-40.  It was renumber 6839 in 1986 and later CSX 6839, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold to RailAmerica in 1999 as Toledo Peoria & Western 4020 and sold to Genesee & Wyoming and sent as Indiana Southern 4020.

6841, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38566, FN 7340-22, as C&O 4086, Class GP-40. It was numbered 6841 in 1986 and later CSX 6841, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was rebuilt as RP39-2C by Morrison Knudsen in September 1991 and was completed on September 20, 1991, as VRE V08.

6842, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38567, FN 7340-23, as C&O 4087, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6842 and became CSX 6842, Class GP-40.  It was sold as National Railway Equipment Co 6842 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen Corp as 4305.  It was sold to Progress Rail as PRLX 4305 in 2007.

6843, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38568, FN 7340-24, as C&O 4088, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6843 in 1986 and became CSX 6843, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was sold as Wisconsin Central Ltd 3010.

6844, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38569, FN 7340-25, as C&O 4089, Class GP-40. It later was renumbered 6844 in 1986 and later CSX 6844, Class GP-40, in 1987. It was rebuilt as a GP40-3 as FEC 447.

6845, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39236, FN 7340-81, as C&O 4090, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6845, Class GP-40,  in 1986 and became CSX 6845, Class GP-40, in 1987.  It was rebuilt as 6000, Class GP40-2.

6849, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39240, FN 5811-4, as C&O 4094, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6849 in 1986 and became CSX 6849, Class GP-40 in 1987.  It was rebuilt as 2350, Class Road Slug.

6855, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32149, FN 7911-1, as Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac 121.  It became CSX 6855, Class GP-40, in 1991 and later rebuilt as Wisconsin & Southern 3805, a GP38.   It became Webb Asset Management as WAMX 3864.

6856, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32150, FN 7911-2, as RF&P 122.  It became CSX 6856, Class GP-40, in 1991 and renumbered 9703, Class MOW.  It was sold as National Railway Equipment and rebuilt as Burlington Northern Santa Fe 2001, Class GP38-2, in July 2008.

6857, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32151, FN 7911-3, as RF&P 123.  It became CSX 6857, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by VMV as 2337, road slug, in March 1998.

6858, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32152, FN 7911-4, as RF&P 124.  It became CSX 6858, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in March 12, 1997, as Union Pacific 2509, a GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1009 on October 31, 2003.

6859, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32153, FN 7911-5, as RF&P 125.  It became CSX 6859, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in June 6, 1997, as UP 2515, a GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1015 on January 7, 2003.

6860, Class GP-40, was built in May 1967, #32154, FN 7911-6, as RF&P 126.  It became CSX 6860, Class GP-40, in 1991 and renumbered 9726, Class MOW.  It was rebuilt as 2363, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6861, Class GP-40, was built in April 1967, #32155, FN 7911-7, as RF&P 127. It became CSX 6861, Class GP-40, in 1991. It was purchased by National Railway Equipment and rebuilt by VMV in July 1994 as Kansas City Southern 4747.
