Electro-Motive GP9 Diesels

3816, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #24268, FN 5570B-7, as Pennsylvania RR 7191-B, Class EF-17b.  It was renumbered 3816 in 1966 and became Penn Central 3817, Class ERS-17b.  It later became Conrail 3816, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and was later scrapped.

3819, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #24271, FN 5570B-10, as PRR 7194-B, Class EF-17b.  It was renumbered 3819 in 1966 and became PC 3819, Class ERS-17b.  It later became Conrail 3819, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and later scrapped.

7002, Class GP-9, was built in October 1955, #20708, FN 5408-3, as PRR 7002, Class ERS-17. It was later PC 7002, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and Conrail 7002, Class GP-7, in April 1976. It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as Conrail 7568, Class GP-10. It was later sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co as 7568.

7010, Class GP-9, was built in October 1955, #20714, FN 5048-11, as PRR 7010, Class ES-17.  It became PC 7010, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and became Conrail 7010, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It became New Jersey Transit 7010 on December 2, 1976, and retired on October 9, 1984.  It was scrapped in January 1985.

7012, Class GP-9, was built in October 1955, #20716, FN 5048-13, as PRR 7012, Class ES-17.  In 1968 it became PC 7012, Class ERS-17, and in April 1976 it became Conrail 7012, Class GP-9.  It was traded in to General Electric in 1983 and sold as Naporano Iron & Metal 7012 for scrap.

7045, Class GP-9, was built in November 1955, #20749, FN 5408-46, as PRR 7405, Class ES-17.  It became PC 7045, Class ERS-17, and became Conrail 7045, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was scrapped at Hollidaysburg, PA.

7056, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #21861, FN 5461-7, as PRR 7056, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7056, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7056, Class GP-9.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7576, Class GP-10.    It was sold as Southwest Pennsylvania RR 7576 and resold as Allegheny Valley RR 1801.  It was sold as Ashland Ry 30.

7057, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #21862, FN 5461-8, as PRR 7057, Class ES-7A.  It became PC 7057, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7057, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as Conrail 7559, Class GP-9.  It was sold as AVR 7559 and renumbered 1802.  It was sold as ASRY 31.

7063, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #21868, FN 5461-14. as PRR 7063, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7063, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7063, Class GP-9.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7570, Class GP-10.  It was sold as Illinois Western RR 7570.

7065, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #21870, FN 5461-16, as PRR 7065, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7065, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and became Conrail 7065, Class GP-9.  It became New Hampshire Northcoast 1756 and rebuilt.

7066, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #21871, FN 5461-17, as PRR 7066, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7066, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7066, Class GP-9.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7577, Class GP-10.  It later became Archer-Daniels-Midland as 7577.

7073, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #21878, FN 5461-24, as PRR 7073, Class ERS-17A.  It became PC 7073, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and Conrail 7073, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was retired in May 3, 1988, and traded in to General Electric in 1968.  It later was sold as Soo Line RR for parts in 1989.

7077, Class GP-9, was built in November 1956, #21882, FN 5461-28, as PRR 7077, Class ERS-17A.  It became PC 7077, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and Conrail 7077, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was traded in to General Electric in 1983 and sold to Naporano Iron & MetalCo.

7081, Class GP-9, was built in November 1956, #21886, FN 55461-32, as PRR 7081, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7081, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and became Conrail 7081, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was sold as NHNC 1758 and sold as Adrian & Blissfield RR 1758.

7116, Class GP-9, was built in June 1957, #23316, FN 5541-12, as PRR 7116, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7116, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7116, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was retired on May 3, 1988, and sold to General Electric.

7125, Class GP-9, was built in June 1957, #23325, FN 5541-21, as PRR 7125, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7125, Class ERS-17A, in 1968 and became Conrail 7125, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was sold as NHNC 1755 and sold as A&BRR 1755.

7130, Class GP-9, was built in June 1957, #23330, FN 5541-26, as PRR 7130, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7130, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7130, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7567, Class GP-10.  It later became ADM 7567.

7142, Class GP-9, was built in June 1957, #23342, FN 5541-38, as PRR 7142, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7142, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and later became Conrail 7142, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was retired in September 25, 1990.

7163, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #23961, FN 5369-4, as PRR 7163, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7163, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and became Conrail 7189, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in 1982 and scrapped.

7182, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #23980, FN 5569-23, as PRR 7182, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7182, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and became Conrail 7182, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in 1982.

7189, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #24221, FN 5570-5, as PRR 7189, Class ES-17A.  It became PC 7189, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and became Conrail 7189, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in 1982.  It was sold as Providence & Worcester 1701 in 1982 and sold as Quaboag Transfer Inc 1701 in 1984.

7196, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #24228, FN 5570-12, as PRR 7196, Class EFS-17m.  It was Class ERS-17 in 1966 and then PC 7196, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It then was Conrail 7196, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was scrapped.

7205, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #24237, FN 5570-21, as PRR 7205, Class EFS-17m.  It was reclassified as Class ERS-17 in 1966 and became PC 7205, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7205, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and sold as P&W 1702 in August 1982.  It was sold as Bay Colony Ry 1702 in December 1996 and relettered in June 1997.  It was renumbered as Grafton & Upton RR 1750 in November 2009 and scrapped in August 2021.

7210, Class GP-9, was built in November 1957, #24242, FN 5570-26, as PRR 7210, Class EFS-17m.  It was reclassified as Class ERS-17 in 1966 and became PC 7210, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7210, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and was rebuilt at Paducah as 7515, Class GP-10, in 1978.  It was sold as Maywood Co-op Association 7515.

7217, Class GP-9, was built in December 1957, #24249, FN 5570-33, as PRR 7217, Class EFS-17m.  It was Class ERS-17 in 1966 and then PC 7217, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It then was Conrail 7217, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was scrapped.

7223, Class GP-9, was built in December 1957, #24255, FN 5570-39, as PRR 7223, Class EFS-17m.  It was Class ERS-17 in 1966 and then PC 7223, Class ERS-17, in 1968,  It then was Conrail 7223, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was scrapped.

7231, Class GP-9, was built in October 1959, #24283, FN 5556-2, as PRR 7231, Class EFS-17m.  It became PC 7231, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and Conrail 7231, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7584, Class GP-10, and sold as Kiamichi RR 1004.

7242, Class GP-9, was built in October 1959, #24294, FN 5556-13, as PRR 7242, Class EFS-17m.  It became PC 7242, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and Conrail 7242, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was sold as Pocono Northeast RR 7242 in 1982 and renumbered 1751 in 1982.  It was became Luzerne & Susquehanna RR 1751 in 1994.

7244, Class GP-9, was built in October 1959, #24296, FN 5556-15, as PRR 7244, Class EFS-17m.  It became PC 7244, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and Conrail 7244, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in January 1979 as 7585, Class GP-10, and retired in October 1995.  It was sold to RMDI in April 1997 and sold as Ohio Central RR 7585,  It was transferred as Rail Link 1706.

7260, Class GP-9, was built in November 1959, #24312, FN 5556-31, as PRR 7260, Class EFS-17m.  It became PC 7260, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and became Conrail 7260, Class GP-9.  It was rebuilt as 7595, Class GP-10, and sold as OHCR 7595.  It was sold as New York & Atlantic 202 in 1997 and transferred as Louisville & Indiana 202.

7262, Class GP-9, was built in November 1959, #24314, FN 5556-33, as PRR 7262, Class EFS-17m.  It was reclassified as Class ERS-17 in 1966 and then PC 7262, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It then was Conrail 7262, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and rebuilt at Precision National in 1977 as 7572, Class GP-10.  It was later sold as Winchester & Western 572.

7265, Class GP-9, was built in November 1959, #24317, FN 5556-36, as PRR 7265, Class EFS-17m.  It was reclassified as Class ERS-17 in 1966 and then PC 7265, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7265, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and rebuilt at Precision National in 1977 as 7575, Class GP-10.  It was later sold as W&W 575.

7301, Class GP-9, was built in April 1954, #19522, FN 5340-2, as Cleveland Union Terminal 5901, Class DRSP-9a.  It was renumbered 7301, Class ERS-17, in 1966, and became Conrail 7301, Class GP-9. in April 1976.  It was sold as Vermont Ry 751 in July 1981 and sold as St Lawrence & Atlantic RR 1751.  It was renumbered 58.

7303, Class GP-9, was built in April 1954, #19524, FN 5340-4, as CUT 5903, Class DRSP-9a.  It was renumbered 7303, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became Conrail 7303, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was sold as Hillsdale County RR 1603 and became Indiana & Northeastern RR 1603.  It is out of service.

7304, Class GP-9, was built in October 1955, #20893, FN 5415-1, as New York Central 5904, Class DRS-9b.  It was renumbered 7304, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7304, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7304, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and later retired.

7311, Class GP-9, was built in October 1955, #20900, FN 5415-8, as NYC 5911, Class DRS-9b.  It was renumbered 7311, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7311, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7311, Class GP-9, and rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7566, Class GP-10.  It was sold as New England Southern 566 and resold as Belvidere & Delaware 566 in 2007.  It was renumbered 1856 in 2011.

7322, Class GP-9, was built in November 1955, #20911, FN 5415-19, as NYC 5922, Class DRS-9b.  It was renumbered 7322, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7322, Class ERS-17, in 1966.  It was later Conrail 7322, Class GP-9, in April 1976, and rebuilt by Precision National as 7547,  Class GP-10,, in 1978.  It was sold as Ohio Central RR 7547.

7335, Class GP-9, was built in December 1955, #20924, FN 5416-8, as NYC 5935, Class DRSP-9c.  It was renumbered 7507, Class ERS-17s, in 1966 and became PC 7507, Class ERS-17s.  It was rebuilt as 7335, Class ERS-17, in 1970 and became Conrail 7335, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was retired.

7343, Class GP-9, was built in December 1955, #20932, FN 5416-16, as NYC 5943, Class DRSP-9c.  It was renumbered 7515, Class ERS-17s, in 1966 and became PC 7515, Class ERS-17s.  It was rebuilt as 7343, Class ERS-17, in 1970 and became Conrail 7343. Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 7549, Class GP-10, in 1978 and sold as Bloomer Line Connecting RR 7549.

7358, Class GP-9, was built in February 1956, #20971, FN 5417-10, as NYC 5958, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7358, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7358, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7358, Class GP-9, in April 1976, and rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7529, Class GP-10.  It was sold to C&F Locomotive Service and sold as Georgia Northeastern RR 7529 in 1989.

7362, Class GP-9, was built in February 1956, #20975, FN 5417-15, as NYC 5962, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7362, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7362, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7362, Class GP-9, in April 1976, and traded in to General Electric.

7367, Class GP-9, was built in February 1956, #20979, FN 5417-19, as NYC 5967, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7367, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7367, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7367, Class GP-9, in April 1976, and rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7528, Class GP-10.  It was sold as OCRR 7528.

7368, Class GP-9, was built in February 1956, #20980, FN 5417-20, as NYC 5968, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7368, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7368, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7368, Class GP-9, in April 1976, and retired on May 3, 1988.  It was sold to General Electric and sold as BLOR 92 in 1991.  It was sold as Taloma Farmers Grain Co as TFGX 92 in 1996.

7376, Class GP-9, was built in March 1956, #20989, FN 5447-3, as NYC 5976, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7376, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7376, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7376, Class GP-9, in April 1976.

7377, Class  GP-9, was built in March 1956, #20990, FN 5447-4, as NYC 5977, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7377, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7377, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7377, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and rebuilt by Precision National Corp as 7546, Class GP-10, in 1978.  It was sold as OCRR 7546 and resold as Qualitech Steel Corp 7546.

7378, Class GP-9, was built in March 1956, #20991, FN 5447-5, as NYC 5978, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7378, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7378, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7378, Class GP-9, and was retired on September 25, 1990.  It was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers in October 1993.

7381, Class GP-9, was built in March 1956, #20994, FN 5447-8, as NYC 5981, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7381, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7381, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7381, Class GP-9, and was sold for scrap through General Electric in 1983.

7382, Class GP-9, was built in March 1956, #20995, FN 5447-9, as NYC 5982, Class DRS-9d.  It was renumbered 7382, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7382, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7382, Class GP-9, and was sold for scrap through General Electric.

7394, Class ERS-17, was built in March 1956, #21007, FN 5447-21.  It was renumbered 7394, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7394, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7394, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as 7513, Class GP-10, in 1978.  It was sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co and sold as Peninsula Terminal RR 7513.

7402, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22669, FN 5500-4, as NYC 6002, Class DRS-9e.  It was renumbered 7402, Class ERS-17. in 1966 and became PC 7402, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7402, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as 7561, Class GP-10, in 1978 and sold as BLOR in 7561.

7406, Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22673, FN 5500-8, as NYC 6006, Class DRS-9e.  It was renumbered 7406, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7406, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7406, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7525, Class GP-10.  It was sold as Kiamichi RR 1001 and resold as Eastern Alabama RR 1001.  It was sold as Cascade & Columbia River RR 1001.

7421, Class GP-9, was built in December 1956, #22688, FN 5520-11, as NYC 6021, Class DRS-9e.  It was renumbered 7421, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7421, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7421, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7526, Class GP-10.  It was sold as Collingwood Grain Inc 7526.

7423, Class GP-9, was built in December 1956, #22690, FN 5520-13. as NYC 6023, Class DRS-9e.  It was renumbered 7423, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7423, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7423, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and traded in to Electro-Motive.

7430, Class GP-9, was built by General Motors in April 1957, #A1075, FN C221-1, as NYC 6030, Class DRS-9f.  It was renumbered 7430, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7430, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7430, Class GP-9, and retired.

7432, Class GP-9, was built by General Motors in April 1957, #A1077, FN C221-2, as NYC  6032, Class DRS-9f.  It was renumbered 7432, Class ERS-17, in 1968, and became PC 7432, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7432, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and retired in 1985.  It was sold as Ashland Ry 32.

7443, Class GP-9, was built in April 1957, #23646, FN 5548-3, as NYC 6043, Class DRS-9h.  It was renumbered 7443, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC  7443, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It became Conrail 7443, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and rebuilt at Paducah in 1978 as 7550, Class GP-10.  It was sold as Southern RR of New Jersey 102.

7452, Class GP-9, was built in August 1950, #11772, FN 6125-3, as 5610, Class DRSP-4b, GP7.  It was rebuilt 6052, GP9, in 1965 and renumbered 7452, Class ERS-17, in 1966.  It became PC 7452, Class ERS-17, in 1968 and Conrail 7452, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive.

7459, Class GP-9, was built in August 1957, #23592, FN 5546-14, as NYC 6059, Class DRS-9h.  It was renumbered 7459, Class ERS-17, in 1966 and became PC 7459, Class ERS-17, in 1968.  It was later Conrail 7459, Class GP-9, in April 1976 and later retired.

7480, Class GP-9, was built in June 1956, #21823, FN 5458-3, as Erie RR 1262, Class MFSE-17A.  It became Erie Lackawanna 1262, Class MFSE-17D, in 1960 and then to Conrail as 7480, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was retired on April 6, 1990.

7531, Class GP-9, was built in July 1956, #22111, FN 5474-2, as New York New Haven & Hartford as 1201, Class DERS-4. It became PC 7531, Class ERS-17s, in 1969, and then Conrail 7531, Class GP-9. It was renumbered 7271 and later sold to  Cape Cod & Hyannis  as 21. It was then sold to South Carolina Central as 21 in April 1989 and later to Georgia Southwestern as 21. Then it became Carolina Piedmont RR as 21 in November 1990 and then Georgia & Alabama as 21.

7539, Class GP-9, was built in August 1955, #22119, FN 5474-10, as NYNH&H 1209, Class DERS-4. It became PC 7539, Class ERS-17s, in 1969, and then Conrail 7539, Class GP-9. It was transferred to Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority as 7539. It was later sold and rebuilt at Paducah in March 1980 and rebuilt as Illinois Central Gulf 8730. It later became Brnndywine Valley Ry as 8730.

7540, Class GP-9, was built in August 1956, #22120, FN 5474-11, as NYNH&H 1210, Class DERS-4. It became PC 7540, Class ERS-17s, 1969, and then Conrail 7540, Class GP-9. It was renumbered 7280 and later sold to CC&H as 1210. It was renumbered 20 and later sold to GAAB "The Pride of Mauldin" as 20. It later was transferred to CPRR as 20.

7557, Class GP-9, was built in August 1956, #22137, FN 5474-28, as NYNH&H 1227, Class DERS-4.  It became PC 7557, Class ERS-17s, and became Conrail 7557, Class GP-9, in April 1976.  It was transferred as Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority 7557 on December 2, 1976, and sold to Illinois Central.  It was rebuilt at Paducah in August 1979 as ICG 8712 and sold as Ohio Central 8712.

7559, Class GP-9, was built in August 1956, #22139, FN 5474-30 as NYNH&H 1229, Class DERS-4. In 1969 it became PC 7559, Class ERS-17s, and in April 1976 it became Conrail 7559, Class GP-9. It was transferred to MBTA as 7559 and then leased to Southeastern Michigan Transit Authority as 905 on October 6, 1978. On February 10, 1987, it was returned to MBTA as 905.  It was sold to A J Belliveau RR Construction as Connecticut Central RR 905 in October 1994.  It was transferred as Central New England RR 905 in 1997.
