Paducah Rebuilt Electro-Motive GP Diesels 8300-8397
8300, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23800, FN 5553-1 as IC 9300. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8300 in January 1973. It was sold to Paducah & Louisville as 8300.
8301, GP7u, was built in July 1952, #16689, FN 5191-2, as Reading Co 602, Class RS-3. It was sold to Precision National in January 1975 and then to ICG where it was renumbered 02. It was rebuilt in February 1978 as 8301. It was sold to PAL as 8352 and sold as Burlington Junction Ry 8352 in 2005.
8306, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23806, FN 5553-7, as IC 9306, and was rebuilt at Paducah in March 1971 as 8306. It became Mid South Rail 8306 and was renumbered 1015.
8308, GP9Bu, was built in February 1954, #19211, FN 5321-B6, as Union Pacific 135B, Class GP9B. It was retired in July 1976 and sold to Precision National Corp in September 1976. It was rebuilt on September 3, 1977 as ICG 8308 and sold to Neosha Rail Service in April 1994. It was resold to National Railway Equipment Co.
8309, GP9Bu, was built in April 1954, #19269, FN 5321-B64, as UP 193B. It was rebuilt in September 1977 as ICG 8309 and sold to Gulf & Ohio as 8309 on January 16, 1996.
8310, GP9Bu, was built in February 1954, #19228, FN 5321-B23, as UP 152B. It was rebuilt in September 1977 as ICG 8310 and sold to Pandorail on May 16, 1998. It became Pend Orielle Valley RR 8310 in 1998.
8311, GP9Bu, was built in February 1954, #19231, FN 5321-B26, as UP 155B. It was rebuilt in September 1977 as ICG 8311 and sold as Atlantic & Gulf RR 8311 on May 28, 1990. It became Georgia & Florida Railnet 8311 in 1999 and Georgia & Florida Ry 8311 in 2004. It assigned as Yadkin Valley RR 8311 and sold as Carolina Coastal Ry 8311 in 2007.
8312, GP9Bu, was built in March 1954, #19241, FN 5321-B36, as UP 165B. It was rebuilt in September 1077 as ICG 8312.
8314, GP9Bu, was built in April 1954, #19264, FN 5321-B26, as UP 188B. It was rebuilt in October 1977 as ICG 8314 and later sold to G&O as 8314.
8316, GP7u, was built in October 1951, #15248, FN 5083-4, as Chesapeake & Ohio 5742, Class MRSE-15. It was reclassified Class GP-7 in 1964 and sold to Luntz Steel Co. It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8316 on November 1, 1973, and sold to Archer-Daniels-Midland Co as ADMX 8316 on September 15, 1995.
8318, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23818, FN 5553-19, as 9318. It was rebuilt as 8318 in March 1971. It was sold to Mid South Rail in April 1986 where it was renumbered 1021. It was wrecked on May 11, 1989.
8319, GP9u, was built in January 1958, #23856, FN 5553-57, as 9356. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8319 in October 1977.
8320, GP9u, was built in December 1958, #25033, FN 5591-12, as 9381. It was rebuilt at Paducah as GP10 8320 in November 1977. and sold as PAL 8320. It was renumbered 8334.
8322, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23822, FN 5553-23, as 9322. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8322 in March 1971. It was sold to MSR in April 1986 where it was renumbered 1043. It was sold to Alstom in November 2003 and rebuilt as Railpower Technoligies Inc 2401, GG20B, in September 2004.
8325, GP9u, was built in December 1954, #19236, FN 5321-B31, as UP 160B, Class GP9B. It was retired in July 1976 and sold to Precision National Corp in September 1976. It was rebuilt at Paducah as ICG 8325 on November 23, 1977.
8327, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23827, FN 5553-28, as 9327. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8327 in April 1972 and sold as Seminole Gulf RR 578.
8328, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23828, FN 5553-29, as 9328. It was rebuilt as 8328 in April 1971 and sold as MSR 8328 in April 1986. It was renumbered 1025 and was sold to OmniTrax as 1025 in 1997. It was transferred to Carleton Trail Ry as 1025 in 1998 and then Central Kansas Ry 1025 in 1999. It was then transferred as Okanagan Valley Ry 1025 in 2001.
8330, GP9Bu, was built in April 1954, #19259, FN 5321-B54, as UP 183B. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8330 in December 1977.
8331, GP9u, was built in January 1958, #23855, FN 5553-26, as 9355. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8331 in December 1977.
8332, GP9u, was built in August 1956, #22211, FN 5477-21, as Baltimore & Ohio 6467, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and wrecked in May 1972. It was sold to Luntz Iron & Steel Co on June 18, 1973, and resold to IC. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8332 in December 1973 and sold thru VMV Enterprises as Mountain Laurel RR 15 in March 1992. It was sold thru Buffalo & Pittsburgh as Finger Lake Ry 1801 in May 1996. It was sold to Seaview Transportation Co in December 2006 and repainted as 1851 in 2007.
8335, GP7u, was built in November 1953, #19014, FN 5231-1, as Detroit Toledo & Ironton 964. It was rebuilt at Paducah as IC 8335 in 1974. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co and sold as Farmrail Corp 8335.
8337, GP9u, was built in December 1957, #23837, FN 5553-38, as 9337. It was rebuilt at Paducah in December 1974 as 8337 and sold as Elk River RR 1.
8339 (GP9u) was built in January 1958, #23843, FN 5553-44, as 9343. It was rebuilt by Paducah in August 1974 as 8339 and rebuilt for United States Army as USAX 4601 in 1992. It was transferred to Tennessee Valley Authority as TVAX 4601 in August 2007.
8348, GP9u, was built in January 1958, #23848, FN 5553-49, as 9348, It was rebuilt at Paducah in March 1971 as 8348. It became MidSouth 8348 and was renumbered 1017. It was sold to OmniTrax as 1017 in 1997. It was rebuilt as OmniTrax as 1800 in 2001.
8365, GP9u, was built in December 1955, #20767, FN 5409-2, as IC 9129. It was rebuilt at Paducah in June 1974 as 8365 and sold to Trans-Mark Associates on September 29, 1998. It was sold as Wabash Central 6 in 1999.
8371, GP9u, was built in December 1953, #25023, FN 5591-3, as 9371. It was rebuilt at Paducah as GP10 8371 in November 1974, It was sold as Meridian & Bigbee 8371 in 2003 and resold as Valdosta Ry 8371. It was transferred as Louisiana & Delt RR 1712 in 2015.
8375, GP9u, was built in December 1958, #25027, FN 5591-6, as 9375. It was rebuilt at Paducah as GP10 8375 in August 1974. It was sold as New Orleans & Lower Coast 8375 and transferred as South Carolina Central RR 75.
8377, GP9u, was built in December 1958, #25029. FN 5591-8, as 9377. It was rebuilt at Paducah as GP10 8377 in January 1975. It was sold as NOLR 8377 and transferred as SCRF 77.
8379, GP9u, was built in December 1958, #28031, FN 5591-10, as 9379. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8379 in December 1974. It was sold as Carolina Piedmont RR 8379 in 1991 and and sold to Johnson Rail Services as JRWX 8379 in 2009. It was leased to Waste Management Inc in 2012.
8383, GP7u, was built in April 1953, #17974, FN 5184-4, as
Pittsburgh & Lake Erie 5728, Class DRS-4L. It
was reclassified Class ERS-15 in 1966 and renumbered 1509 in December 1971.
It was sold and rebuilt at Paducah in November 1974 as ICG 8383. It was
sold as CPDR 8383 in 1991 and transferred as South Carolina Central RR
8383.
8387, GP9u, was built in December 1958, #25039, FN 5591-18, as 9387. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8387 in December 1974. It was sold as CPDR 8387 in 1991 and sold to Bro-Tex International Metals in October 2011.
8387, GP9u was built in December 1955, #20758, FN 5409-3, as IC 9120. It was rebuilt at Paducah as 8389 in August 1970. It became USAX 1873 and sold to S&S Sales & Leasing as SSRX 1873.
