General Motors F Unit Diesels

6501, FP9A, Class GPA-17a, was built in September 1954, #A631, FN C183-A2. It later became Via Rail Canada 6501, Class GPA-17a, and later sold to Ohio Central as 6501.

6502, FP9A, Class GPA-17a, was built in October 1954, #A632, FN C183-A3.  It became Via 6502, Class GPA-17a, in March 1978 and sold as Algoma Central RR 1750 in February 1995.  It was sold to Pioneer Railcorp as 1750 in 2003 and assigned as Peoria & Western Ry 1750 in 2007.  It was reassigned as Keokuk Junction Ry 1750 in September 2011.

6504, FP9A, Class GPA-17a, was built in November 1954, #A634, FN C185-A5.  It became Via 6504, Class GPA-17a, and sold as Kansas City Southern 2 "Shreveport" in 1995.  It was renumbered 1 "Shreveport" in 2000.

6506, FP9A, Class GPA-17a,was built in December 1954, #A636, FN C183-A7. It became Via 6505, Class GPA-17a, in March 31, 1978, and later ACRR 1751 in February 10, 1995. It was sold to Pioneer as 1751 in 2003.

6507, FP9A, Class GPA-7a, was built in December 1954, #A637, FN C183-A8, as CN 6507, Class GPA-17a.  It became Via 6507, Class GPA-17a, and sold as KCS 4 "Vicksburg" in 1995.  It was rebuilt as a display and renumbered 34 in 2007.

6511, FP7A, Class GPA-17a, was built in January 1955, #A641, FN C185-A12.  It became Via 6511, Class GPA-17a, in 1978, and later ACRR 1752 in February 1995.  It was sold to Pioneer as 1752 in 2003 and assigned as PWRY 1752 in 2007.  It was transferred as KJRy 1752 in September 2011.

6512, FP9A, Class GPA-17a,  was built in January 1955, #A637, FN C183-A8, as CN 6507, Class GPA-17a.  It became Via 6507, Class GPA-17a, and sold as KCS 4 "Vicksburg" in 1995.  It was rebuilt as a display and renumbered 34 in 2007.

6514, FP9A, Class GPA-17c, was built in January 1957, #A1044, FN C217-A1.  It became Via 6514, Class GPA-17b, in March 31, 1978, and later ACRR 1753 in February 1995.  It was sold as Alberta Pioneer Railroad Association 6514 in 2003.

6515, FP9A, Class GPA-17c, was built in January 1957, #A1045, FN C217-A2. It later became Via 6515, Class GPA-17c, and then was renumbered 6307. It was later sold to OC as 6307 and resold as Canadian Pacific 4106 in 2007.

6516, FP9A, Class GPA-17c, was built in January 1957, #A1046, FN C217-A3.  It became Via 6516, Class GPA-17c, on March 31, 1978 and sold as Conway Scenic RR 6515.  It was sold as Pan American Rys 2 in 2009.

6525, FP9A, Class FPA-17d, was built in March 1957, #A1197, FN C230-A3.  It became Via 6525, Class GPA-17d, in March31, 1978, and later ACRR 1754 in February 1995.  It was sold to Pioneer as 1754 in September 2003.

6526, FP9A, Class GPA-17d, was built in March 1957, #A1198, FN C230-A4. It later became Via 6526, Class GPA-17d, and then was renumbered 6313. It was later sold to OC as 6313 and resold as CP 4107 in 2007.

6531, FP9A, Class GPA-17d, was built in May 1957, #A1203, FN C230-A9. It became Via 6531, Class GPA-17d, in March 31, 1978, and later ACRR 1755 in February 20, 1995. It was sold to Pioneer as 1755 in September 2003.

6537, FP9A, Class GPA-17e, was built in June 1958, #A1397, FN C242-A5. It became Via 6537, Class GPA-17b.

6539, FP9A, Class GPA-17e, was built in July 1958, #A1399, FN C242-A7.  It was transferred as Via 6539, Class GPA-17e, on March 31, 1978, and rebuilt at Pointe St Charles in 1984 as 6303, Class GPA-17e.  It was sold to Rail Link on January 21, 1999, and repainted as Rail Link-Ottawa Valley 1400.

6540, FP9A, Class GPA-17e, was built July 1958, #A1400, FN C242-A8.  It became Via 6540, Class DPA-17e, on March 31, 1971, and sold to Rail Enterprise Inc on February 19, 1994.  It was sold  to Victor Hekoski in 1994 and sold at Boone & Scenic Valley RR 6540 in 2002.

6541, FP9A,  Class GPA-17e, was built in July 1958, #A1401, FN C242-A9.  It became Via 6541, Class DPA-17e, on March 31, 1978, and sold as Nebkota Rail 54 in 1998.  It was sold as Canadian Pacific 1401 in 1998.

6606, F9B, Class GPB-17a, was built in December 1954, #A623, FN C181-A7. It became Via 6606, Class GPB-17a, on March 31, 1978, and later ACRR 1761 in February 20, 1995. It was sold to Pioneer as 1761 in September 2003.

6612, F9B, Class GPB-17a, was built in January 1955, #A629, FN C182-A13.  It became Via 6612, Class GPB-17a, on March 31, 1978, and later sold as Nebkota 66 on January 17, 1995.  It was sold as CPR 1900 ion September 16, 1997.

6614, F9B, Class GPB-17c, was built in January 1957, #A1053, FN C218-1. It became Via 6614, Class GPB-17c, on March 31, 1978, and later ACRR  1762 on February 20, 1995.  It was sold as Alberta Pioneer Railroad Association 6614 in 2003.

9052, F7A, Class V-1-A-b, was built in August 1951, #A227, FN C114A-13.  It was reclassified Class GFA-15b in September 1954 and retired on January26, 1973.  It was rebuilt as 9168 in June 1973, Class GFA-17a, and retired on December 4, 1989.

9080, F7A, Class V-1-A-d, was built in August 1952, #A360, FN C145A-9.  It was reclassified as Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in November 1972 as 9158, Class GFA-17a.  It was retired on December 4, 1989, and sold to Century Locomotive Parts.  It was sold as Waccamaw Coastline RR 9158 and resold as CALA 9158.

9088, F7A, Class V-1-A-d, was built in September 1952, #A364, FN C145-13.  It was reclassified as Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in October 1974 as 9177, Class GFA-17a.  It was retired on December 4, 1989, and sold to Century Locomotive Parts in October 1990.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in November 1990 and sold to Norfolk Southern as SOU 9177 in December 2012.

9100, F7A, Class V-1-A-d, was built in September 1952, #A386, FN C145A-2.  It was reclassified Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in July 1973 as 9167, Class GFA-17a.  It was modified for snowplow service and retired on December 4, 1989, and sold to Century Locomotive Parts in October 1990.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in November 1990 and sold to Museum of American Railroads in 2000.  It was restored as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 49.

9104, F7A, Class V-1-A-d, was built in October 1952, #A388, FN C145A-19.  It was reclassified Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in May 1973 as 9165, Class GFA-17a.  It was retired on December 4, 1989, and sold to Century Locomotive Parts in October 1990.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in November 1990 and the nose section was used to make a replica of California Zephyr Western Pacific 804-A at Disneyland.

9110, F7A, Class V-1-A-d, was built in October 1952, #A391, FN C145A-22.  It was reclassified Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in June 1973 as 9166, Class GFA-17a.  It was retired on December 4, 1989.

9116, F7A, Class V-1A-d, was built in October 1952, #A394 , FN C145A-25.  It was reclassified Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in April 1973 as 9163, Class GFA-17a.  It was retired on December 4, 1989, and sold to Century Locomotive Parts.  It was sold as WCLR 9163 and resold as CALA 9163.

9128, F7A, Class V-1-A-d, was built in November 1952, #A400, FN C145A-31.  It was reclassified Class GFA-15d in September 1954 and rebuilt in April 1973 as 9164, Class GFA-17a.  It was retired on April 12, 1989, and sold to Central Locomotive Works in October 1990.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in November 1990.
