Rebuilt Electro-Motive SW10 Diesels
1200, Class SW10, was built in October 1953, #18836, FN 4216-2, as 1848, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha in August 2, 1979 and renumbered 1200 on March 13, 1980. It was retired on December 31, 1997, and sold on Boise Locomotive on April 15, 1999. It was then sold to Diesel Supply Co in July 1999 and renumbered DLSX 1200 in April 2000.
1201, Class SW10, was built in April 1953, #17819, FN 4133-15, as 1839, Class SW9, It was rebuilt at Omaha in November 1979 and renumbered 1201 on April 1, 1980. It was renumbered 1241 on November 6, 1997, and renumbered June 22, 1998. It was sold to David J Joseph as DJPX 1241 in July 1998 and leased to CF Industries. It was sold as Clinton Terminal RR 1241.
1202, Class SW10, was built in November 1953, #18854, FN 4216-20, as 1866, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha in January 1980 as 1202. It was retired on July 13, 1998, and sold to Farmers Grain Cooperative in August 1998 but never relettered.
1203, Class SW10, was built in November 1953, #18862, FN 4216-18, as 1864, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1203 on March 9, 1980, and wrecked at Los Angles on December 18, 1989. It was retired on May 14, 1996, and sold to Helm Financial in February 1997.
1204, Class SW10, was built in October 1953, #18841, FN 4216-7, as 1853, Class SW9. It was rebuilt as 1204 on April 17, 1980, and retired on July 14, 1998. It was sold as DJPX 1204 in July 1998 and was sold as Chaparral Steel Co L409-2 in 1999.
1214, Class SW10, was built in October 1953, #18842, FN 4216-8, as 1854, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1214, Class SW10, on January 23, 1984. It was retired on July 14, 1998 and sold at Farmers Cooperative Co 1214 in June 1998. It was resold to Lascasiana SA de CV as LASX 1214.
1215, Class SW10, was built in October 1953, #18839, FN 4216-5, as 1851, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha on January 30, 1981, as 1215 and renumbered 1274 on December 10, 1997. It was retired on July 14, 1998, and sold to Connell Finance in July 1998. It was sold as Salt Lake Garfield & Western D.S.10 in January 2000.
1217, Class SW10, was built in April 1953, #17824, FN 4133-20, as 1844, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha in March 1981 as 1217, Class SW10, on March 30, 1981, and retired on July 14, 1998. It was sold to Connell Finance in July 1998 and leased to Canadian Pacific in October 1999 and assigned 1282. It was not used and sold to National Railway Equipment as NREX 1217. It was sold as Minnesota Dakota & Western 22 in April 2010.
1219, Class SW10, was built in April 1953, #17805, FN 4133-1, as 1825, SW9. It was rebuilt and numbered at Omaha on April 30, 1982. It was retired on February 21, 1997, and sold to Diesel Supply Co on July 23, 1997. It was then sold to Arizona Public Service Co as 4.
1225, Class SW10, was built in April 1953, #17815, FN 4133-11, as 1835, SW9. It was rebuilt as SW10 at Omaha on September 30, 1981, as 1225. It was retired on July 14, 1998, and sold as DJPX 1225 in July 1998. It was sold to Industrial Ry & Switching Services 1225 and resold to Mobile Locomotive Services as LOCX 1225. It was sold as Bulkmatic de Mexico 1225.
1227, Class SW10, was built in October 1951, #15071, FN 6234-A4, as 1873, TR5. It was rebuilt and numbered 1227 at Omaha on December 30, 1981. It was retired on May 14, 1996, and sold to Ohio Central as 1227 in June 1997. It was later sold to Spartan Steel Coating as 1227.
1230, Class SW10, was built in April 1953, #17813, FN 4133-9, as 1833, SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha on February 10, 1982, as 1230 and retired on July 14, 1998, It was sold to Connell Finance in July 1998 and sold as Saltair D.S.9 in January 2000.
1234, Class SW10, was built in September 1951, #15070, FN 6234-A3, as 1872, TR5. It was rebuilt and numbered as 1234 at Omaha on June 30, 1982. It was retired on July 14, 1998, and sold to Coast Rail Services that same month.
1245, Class SW10, was built in August 1950, #10754, FN 4038-3, as 1802, Class SW7. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1245, Class SW10, on February 28, 1983, and wrecked at North Platte, NE, on March 4, 1987. The hood was used for repairing another SW10 and retired on March 7, 1988. It was sold to Aaron Ferer & Sons for scrap on March 29, 1988.
1248, Class SW10, was built in August 1950, #10752, FN 4038-1, as 1800, Class SW7. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1248, Class SW10, in May 1983. It was retired on July 3, 1998, and sold to Ferrocarril Mexicano as 1248.
1251, Class SW10, was built in August 1950, #10753, FN 4038-2. as 1801, Class SW7. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1251, Class SW10, on July 30, 1983, and retired on April 3, 1998. It was sold to Boise Locomotive Co on April 15, 1999, and sold to Transglobal Rail. It was sold as State Line Co-op 1251.
1253, Class SW10, was built in April 1953, #17821, FN 4133-17. as 1841, Class SW9. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1253 on September 30, 1983, and retired on July 14, 1998. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in July 1998 and sold as Agmark LLC 1253. It was later marked as KARX 1253.
1260, Class SW10, was built in September 1950, #10757, FN 4038-6, as 1805, Class SW7. It was rebuilt at Omaha as 1260, Class SW10, in July 1984 and retired on July 14, 1998. It was sold as FM 1260 in July 1998.
1269, Class SW10, was built in April 1951, #12551, FN 4074-1, as Missouri Pacific 9170, SW9. It was renumbered 1232 in 1962 and came to Great Southwest RR about 1979. It was later returned to the Mopac and then rebuilt at Omaha on October 30, 1984, as UP 1269. It was retired on July 14, 1998, and sold to Ferromex as 1269.
1270, Class SW10, was built in April 1951, #12552, FN 4074-2, as MP 9171, SW9. It was renumbered 1233 in 1962 and came to GSW about 1979. It was later returned to the MoPac and then rebuilt at Omaha on November 14, 1984, as UP 1270, Class SW10. It was retired on April 12, 1997, and sold to Mid-Am Equipment in June 1997. It was then sold to North American Fly Ash Co as 1270. It became Mineral Solutions in June 1998 and sold as David J Joseph Co DJPX 1270 on September 1, 1999. It leased in January 2003. It was sold to Western Rail as WRIX 1270 and sold to Professional Locomotive Services as PLSX 1270 in May 2007. It was sold as Steel Dynamics Inc 40.
