Southeastern Railway Museum

 

General II was built by Baldwin in August 1919, #52207, as Red River & Gulf 104. It was later sold to Comite Southern as 1 and then to Louisiana Eastern as 1. In October 1961 it was sold to Stone Mountain RR and "dooded up" to represent one of the locomotives from the Great Locomotive Chase.  It was donated to SERM in 2007 and sent there in 2008.

 

Hartwell RR 2, 44 Ton, was built by General Electric in February 1950, #30253.  It was donated in 1965 to SERM..

SERM 3, 50 Ton, was built by General Electric in January 1948, #29211, as Anglo Canadian Pulp & Paper Co 3.  It was renumbered as no# and became as Reed Paper Co no # in 1975.  It became as Produits Fordestieres Diashowa no # in 1988 and sold as Hudson Bay Mining Co 101.  It was acquired as SERM and numbered 3.

Campbell Limestone Co 9 was built by Heisler Locomotive Works in May 1923, #1479, as Kentucky Lumber Co 9.  It was sold as Carolina Tie & Lumber Co 9 and sold as Santee River Hardwood Co 9.  It was sold as CLCo 9 in March 1962 and became Vulcan Materials Co 9 in February 1969.  It was donated to the NRHS Atlanta Chapter in December 1979 and is at the SERM.  It was restored as CLCo 9.

Chattahoochee Valley RR 21 was built by Baldwin in April 1924, #57707, as Tennessee Alabama & Georgia RR 201.  It was sold as CVRy 21 in 1935 and acquired by SERM.

Armco Steel Corp B70, 70 Ton was built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in April 1929, #60759,  It was rebuilt in March 1948 and given to SERM in 1963.

Georgia Power Co 97 was built by H K Porter in July 1943, #7593, as United States Army 5050.  It was sold as GPCo 97 and donated to Atlanta Chapter National Railway Historical Society in March 1965.  It went to SERM in 1978.

Gainesville Midland RR 203 was built by Baldwin in January 1928, #60342, as Alabama Tennessee & Northern 402. It was sold as GMRR 203 in 1946 later donated to City of Athens, GA.  It was donated to NRHS Atlanta, GA, in 1959 and leased to Tennessee Valley Railway Museum.  It is now preserved at the SERM.

Atlantic & West Point RR 290, was built by Lima in March 1926, #7008.  It was donated to City of Atlanta in 1958 and transferred to Atlanta Chapter, NRHS, in Sptember 1976.  It went to SERM.

U S Army 612 was built by Baldwin in August, 1943, #69858, as U S Army 2630.  It was renumbered 612 in 1954 and sent to the Cass Scenic RR in June 1972 but never used.  It was sold in 2010 to Steam Services of America and sent to SERM.  It was sold to Age of Steam Roundhouse in 2015 where it has been cosmetic restoration as 2630.

Savannah & Atlanta 750 was built by Alco-Schenectady in January 1910, #46567, as Florida East Coast 136. It was renumbered 88 and later sold to the S&A as 750 in 1935. It is donated to SERM in 1962

Southern Ry 1509 "Maud", was built by Baldwin in 1880, #4160, as Atlanta & Charlotte Air Line RR 21 "Tallulah".  It was merged as Richmond & Danville RR 21 in April 1881 and merged as Southern Ry 1315 in June 1894.  It was renumbered 1509 "Maud" in 1903 and donated to Shopcraft Unions of Southern Ry at Atlanta in 1950.  It was donated to City of Atlanta in 1959 and donated to NRHS Atlanta Chapter in 1962.  The Atlanta Chapter set up as SERM.

"Dayton" was built by Lima Locomotive in June 1913, #1310 as National Cash Register Co "Dayton".  It was donated to NRHS Atlanta in September 1965.
