 Brownsville & Rio Grande International RR

The BRG is a terminal switching railroad serving the port of Brownsville. On February 26, 1984, the Brownsville and Rio Grande International took over the switching at the port on track leased from the Brownsville Navigation District. The track had previously been leased to and the switching handled by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company

147. SW9, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1951, #13963, FN 6182-14, as Atlantic Coast Line 665.  It became Seaboard Coast Line 147 in July 1967 and sold as BRG 147 in 1984.  It was later resold as Alan Ritchey Co 147.

237, SW1200, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1955, #20551, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 9279.  It became Burlington Northern 237, Class SW-12, in 1970 and retired in February 1992.  It was then sold as BRG 237.

1130, SW1200, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1964, #28751, as Missouri Pacific 1130.  It was sold as United States Steel Co 1130 and resold as BRG 1130.

1145, SW1200, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1966, #31219, as MP 1145.  It was sold as Shore Fast Line RR 1145 and later became Southern RR of New Jersey 1145 in 1991,  It was later sold as BRG 1145.

1440, SW14, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1950, #10035, as Illinois Central 9303, SW7.  It was renumbered 1203 in September 1957 and rebuilt as SW14 1440 in 1980.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co on May 7, 1995, and sold as BRG 1440.

1459, SW14, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1950, #11661, as IC 9413. SW7.  It was renumbered 413 in December 1959 and rebuilt in 1981 as 1459.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co on June 4, 1997, and sold as BRG 1459.

2478, SW1500, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1967, #3313, as Southern Pacific 2478, Class ES415-1.  It was sold as BRG 2478.

3986, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1974, #73648-19, FN 73648-19, as Texas & Pacific 834.  It was renumbered 3133 in March 1974 and became Missouri Pacific 3133 in 1976.  It became Union Pacific 4133, Class SD40-2, on June 21, 1989.  It was rebuilt as B4133 on July 3, 1992, and renumbered 8936 on August 26, 2000.  It was retired on February 27, 2001 and sold as BRG 3986.

7266, SD40-2, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1980, #786252-31, FN 786252-31, as Burlington Northern 7266, Class SD40-2.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 7266, Class SD 40-2, in November 1999 and retired on February 8, 2002.  It was sold to First Union Rail as FURX 7266 in February 2002 and sold as BRG 7266 in 2011.

8463, GP7u, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1950, #12301, as Clinchfield RR 906.  It was rebuilt at Paducah as Illinois Central Gulf 8463 in September 1976 and sold as Nashville & Eastern as 8463 on January 11, 1993.  It was sold as BRG 8463.
