Rapid Transit Cars

Chicago Rapid Transit 1024 was built by Pullman in 1899 as Northwestern Elevated Ry 24. It was renumbered 1024 in 1913 and became CRT 1024 in 1923. It was rebuilt as S-111 in 1954 and sold to IRM as 1024 in 1958.

Chicago Rapid Transit 1268 was a trailer built by American Car & Foundry in 1907, #5098, as NWERy 268. It was renumbered 1268 in 1913 and became CRT 1268 in 1923. It  was given a rebuilt end and was acquired by the IRM in 1956.

Chicago Rapid Transit 1754 was built by Jewett Car in 1903 as NWERy 754. It was renumbered 1754 in 1913 and became CRT 1754 in 1923. It was became S-333 in 1958 and sold to IRM in 1971.

Chicago Rapid Transit 1797 was built by American Car & Foundry in 1907, #5098 as NWERy 288 as a trailer. It was renumbered 1288 in 1913 and rebuilt as a motor and renumbered 1797.  It became CRT 1797 in 1923.  It was purchased by Frank Sherwin, who owned Chicago Hardware Foundry, and went to IRM

Chicago Transit Authority 22 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1960, #1804.  It was preserved by Historic L Car Society in 1998 and went to IRM in 2000.

Chicago Transit Authority 52 was built by Pullman-Standard in 1947, #6747, as Chicago Rapid Transit 5002.  It was renumbered 52 in 1963 and renumbered 75 "Paul Revere" in 1976.  It was returned as 52 and acquired by IRM in 1986.

Chicago Transit Authority 4146 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1915, #2000, as Chicago Rapid Transit 4146.   It was retired on March 30, 1972, and acquired by IRM  in 1972.

Chicago Transit Authority 4253 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as CRT 4253.  It was retired on March 17, 1976, and sold to IRM in December 1978.  It was apparently retired.

Chicago Transit Authority 4255 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as CRT 4255.  It was acquired by IRM in November 1978 and apparently was retired.

Chicago Transit Authority 4289 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as CRT 4289.  It was acquired by IRM in December 1978 and sold to Railway Equipment Leasing & Investment in 1983.  It became Fox River Trolley Museum in 1988.

Chicago Transit Authority 4290 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as CRT 4290.  It was acquired by IRM in December 1978.

Chicago Transit Authority 4318 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as CRT 4318.  It was rebuilt as S-350 on December 2, 1965, and sold to IRM in November 1978.

Chicago Transit Authority 4321 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as CRT 4321.  It was acquired by IRM in 1978.

Chicago Transit Authority 4386 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1924, #2860, as CRT 4386.  It was rebuilt as S-368 on February 29, 1972, and sold as IRM in December 1978.  It may have been retired.

Chicago Transit Authority 4410 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1924, #2860, as CRT 4410.  It was acquired by IRM on March 20, 1975.

Chicago Transit Authority 4412 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1924, #2860, as CRT 4412.  It was acquired by IRM on March 31, 1972.

Chicago Transit Authority 4438 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1924, #2860.   It was rebuilt as S-366, a work car, on November 11, 1969, and sold as IRM in December 1978.  It may have been retired.

Chicago Transit Authority 6125 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1950, #1759.  It was sent to IRM in 1984.

Chicago Transit Authority 6655 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1958, #1792, as CTA 6655.  It was named "George Rogers Clark" and sent to IRM in 1993.

Illinois Central 1198 was built by Pullman in 1926, #4866 .  It went to IRM in 1972.

Illinois Central 1380 was built by Pullman in 1926, #P3050.  It went to IRM in 1972.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority 55, Class B1, was built by Brill Car Co in 1927, #22488. and was purchased by Department of City Transit as 55.  It was operated by Philadelphia Rapid Transportation and became Philadelphia Transportation Co in 1940.  It became SEPTA in 1968 and later acquired by IRM in 1985
