Electro-Motive SD9 Diesels

6100, Class SD-9, was built in February 1954, #19340, FN 5285-1, as Great Northern 573, Class SD-9.  It became Burlington Northern 6100, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6100, Class SD-9, in February 1999.  It was renumbered 1710 in 2006 and renumbered 1550 in 2009.

6101, Class SD-9, was built in September 1957, #23636, FN 5549-18, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 457.  It became BN 6204, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6101, Class SD-9, in January 1998.  It was renumbered 1721 in 2006 and relettered as GN 1721 in 2011.  It was sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co in September 2011.

6103, Class SD-9, was built in February 1954, #19343, FN 5285-4, as GN 576, Class SD-9.  It became Burlington Northern 6103, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6103, Class SD-9, in May 2001.  It was renumbered 1753 in 2008 and sold as Tri-City & Olympia RR and painted with no number.  It was scrapped in August 2012.

6104, Class SD-9, was built in December 1956, #22405, FN 5482-3, as Colorado & Southern 822,   It was renumbered 6217, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6217, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It later became BNSF 6104, Class SD-9, in December 1999.

6108, Class SD-9, was built in May 1956, #21249, FN 5431-3, as GN 581, Class SD-9.  It became BN 6108, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6108, Class SD-9, in October 1998.  It was renumbered 1734 in 2006 and retired in 2007.

6111,  Class SD-9, was built in January 1957, #22411, FN 5482-9, as C&S 828.  It was rebuilt by Electro-Motive in March 1959 and was renumbered 6223, Class SD-9, in August 1979.  It became BN 6223, Class SD-9, in January 1982 and became BNSF 6111, Class SD-9, in January 1999.

6114, Class SD-9, was built in January 1957, #22489, FN 5488-4, as GN 587, Class SD-9.  It became BN 6114, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6114, Class SD-9.  It was sold as Port of Tillamook Bay RR 6114 in 2002 and scrapped in August 2010.

6115, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25012, FN 5589-2, as C&S 832.  It was renumbered 6227, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6227, Class SD-9, in January 1928.  It became BNSF 6115, Class SD-9, in August 1999 and was renumbered 1735 on October 11, 2005, and sold as  Tri-City & Olympia RR 25 in 2008.  It was retired in August 2012.

6116, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25013, FN 5589-3, as C&S 833.  It was renumbered 6228, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6228, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It became BNSF 6116, Class SD-9, in January 1999 and sold as POTB 6116 in 2002.

6119, Class SD-9, was built in April 1958, #24094, FN 5564-3, as GN 592, Class SD-9.  It became BN 6119, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6119, Class SD-9, in April 2002.  It was renumbered 1716 in 2006 and relettered as GN 1716 in 2011.  It was sold to Larry's Truck Equipment in September 2011.

6121, Class SD-9, was built in April 1958, #24096, FN 5564-5, as GN 594, Class SD-9.  It became BN 6121, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6121, Class SD-9, in November 2001.  It was retired in June 2004.

(6122), Class SD-9, was built in May 1958, #24097, FN 5564-6, as GN 595, Class SD-9.  It became BN 6122, Class SD-9, in 1970 and assigned as BNSF 6122, Class SD-9.  It was apparently never relettered and retired in 2006.

6123, Class SD-9, was built in May 1958, #24098, FN 5564-7, as GN 596, Class SD-9.  It became BN 6123, Class SD-9, in 1970 and assigned as BNSF 6123, Class SD-9, in December 2001.  It was renumbered 1718 in 2006 and relettered as GN 1718 in 2011.  It was sold to Larry's Truck Equipment in September 2011.

6124, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25015, FN 5589-5, as C&S 835.  It was renumbered 6230, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6230, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It became BNSF 6124, Class SD-9, in February 1998 and sold as POTB 6124 in 2002.

6129, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25157, FN 5589-7, as C&S 837.  It was renumbered 6232, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6232, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It became BNSF 6129, Class SD-9, in February 1998.  It was sold as Ag Processing Inc 6129 in 2005 and sold as DeBruce Grain Co 6129 in 2011.

6130, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25158, FN 5589-8, as C&S 838.  It was renumbered 6233, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6233, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It became BNSF 6130, Class SD-9, in January 2000.

6132, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25161, FN 5589-11, as C&S 841.  It was renumbered 6236, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6236, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It became BNSF 6132, Class SD-9, in February 1998.  It was renumbered 1732 and retired in July 2008.

6138, Class SD-9, was built in March 1958, #23925, FN 5555-15, as Duluth Missabe & Iron Range 145, Class RS-3.  It was rebuilt by Livingston Rebuilt Center as BN 6241, Class SD-9, in March 1958 and became BNSF 6138, Class SD9, in May 2000.   It was renumbered 1723 in 2005 and retired in August 2007.

6140, Class SD-9, was built in December 1954, #20122, FN 5376-2, as Baltimore & Ohio 766, Class RSE-7c.  It was renumbered 7406, Class FS6E-3, in 1957 and renumbered 1832, Class SD-9, in June 1964.  It was assigned CSX Transportation 9707, Class SD-9, but retired on July 29, 1987.  It was sold to Steel Processing Corp on March 30, 1988 and resold to Montana Rail Line in November 1988.  It was rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 6243, Class SD-9, on February 7, 1990, and became BNSF 6140, Class SD-9, on August 7, 1999.  It was sold to Ag Processing Inc as AGPX 6140 in 2007 and resold as  Columbia Grain Inc 6140 in 2009.

6144, Class SD-9, was built in November 1953, #18685, FN 5303-3, as B&O 763, Class RSE-6c, SD7.  It was renumbered 7403, Class FS6E-2, in 1957 and renumbered 1829, Class SD-7, in June 1964.  It was assigned CSX 9703, Class SD-7, but retired on July 29, 1987.  It was sold to Steel Processing Corp on March 30, 1988, and resold to Montana Rail Line in November 1988.  It was rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 6245, Class SD-9, on February 28, 1990, and became BNSF6144, Class SD-9, on March 27, 2000.  It was renumbered 1725 in 2007 and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co in January 2013.

6147, Class SD-9, was built in November 1953, #18683, FN 5303-1, as B&O 761, Class RSE-6c, SD7.  It was renumbered 7401, Class FS6E-2, in 1957 and renumbered 1827, Class SD-7, in June 1964.  It was assigned CSX 9701, Class SD-7, but retired on July 28, 1987.  I was sold to Steel Processing Corp on March 30, 1988, and resold to Montana Rail Link in November 1988.  It was rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center as BN 6247, Class SD-9, on December 26, 1989, and became BNSF 6147, Class SD-9, on May 11, 1998.  It was renumbered 1726 in 2007.

 

(6152), Class SD-9, was built in July 1955, #20560, FN 5399-6, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 350.  It became BN 6152, Class SD-9, in 1970 never lettered as BNSF 6152, Class SD-9.  It was sold as AGPX 6152 in 2007 and resold as CGI 6152 in 2009.

6153, Class SD-9, was built in July 1955, #20561, FN 5399-7, as CB&Q 351.  It became BN 6153, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6153, Class SD-9, in August 2001.  It was renumbered 1738 and retired in July 2004.

6156, Class SD-9, was built in August 1955, #20564, FN 5399-10, as CB&Q 354.  It became BN 6156, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6156, Class SD-9.  It was sold as POTB 6156 in December 2002 and scrapped in April 2009.

6158, Class SD-9, was built in September 1955, #20566, FN 5399-12, as CB&Q 356.  It became BN 6158, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6158, Class SD-9, in February 1999.  It was retired in March 2005.

6160, Class SD-9, was built in September 1955, #20568, FN 5399-14, as CB&Q 358.  It became BN 6160, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6160, Class SD-9.  It was retired in April 2002.

6162, Class SD-9, was built in September 1955, #20570, FN 5399-16, as CB&Q 360.  It became BN 6162, Class SD-9, in 1970 and became BNSF 6162, Class SD-9, in April 2001.  It was renumbered 1739 in 2007 and retired in 2007.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in 2007.

6164, Class SD-9, was built in September 1955, #20572, FN 5399-18, as CB&Q 362.  It became BN 6164, Class SD-9. in 1970 and became BNSF 6164, Class SD-9.  It was sold as POTB 6164 in 2002.

(6179), Class SD-9, was built in October 1957, #23611, FN 5547-3, as CB&Q 432.  It became BN 6179, Class SD-9, in 1970 and assigned as BNSF 6179, Class SD-9.  It was not relettered and sold to National Railway Equipment Co in 2004.

6185, Class SD-9, was built in October 1957, #23617, FN 5547-9, as CB&Q 438.  It became BN 6185, Class SD-9 in 1970 and became BNSF 6185, Class SD-9 in July 2002.

6195, Class SD-9, was built in September 1957, #23627, FN 5549-9, as CB&Q 448.  It became BN 6195, Class SD-9, in 1970, and became BNSF 6195, Class SD-9, in March 2002.  It was renumbered 1752 in 2007.

6234, Class SD-9, was built in April 1959, #25159, FN 5589-9, as C&S 839.  It was renumbered 6234, Class SD-9, in August 1979 and became BN 6234, Class SD-9, in January 1982.  It became BNSF 6234, Class SD-9, and kept the same number for preservation.  It was donated to Minnesota Transportation Museum and became MNTX 6234 on December 12, 2003.  It was restored as BN 6234.
