Southern Pacific

4-6-0s

2018, Class T-15, was built by Schenectady in December 1880, #1306, as Southern Pacific of Arizona 25.  It became SP 105 in 1891 and rebuilt as 1608, Class DP, in 1891.  It was renumbered as 2018, Class T-15, and sold as Phoenix & Eastern 295 on November 25, 1912.  It was sold as Sud Pacifico de Mexico 208, Class T-15, in November 1917.  It was sold to United Sugar Co in November 1919 and Mexicano del Pacifico 2.

2020, Class T-57, was built by Schenectady in June 1868, #576, as Central Pacific of California 58 "Bison" It beccame SP 1533, Class DO, and renumbered 2020, Class T-57, in 1901.  I was sold at Mammoth Copper Mining 1 on December 15, 1906.  The photo shown is a substitute before the tender was completed.

2023, Class T-57. was built by Schenectady in May 1875, #981 as CP 189.  It became SP 1554, Class DO, and renumbered 2023, Class T-57, in 1901.  It was sold as Alameda Central RR 5 on March 28, 1910, and scrapped in 1945..

2106, Class T-37, was built by Alco-Rhode Island 29018 as El Paso & South Western 31, Class C6s-34.  It was renumbered 10 and renumbered 22 and renumbered 126.  It became SP 2106, Class T-37, in 1930.  It was leased to Sud Pacifico de Mexico between March 28, 1949, and November 27, 1950.  It was retired on January 4, 1951, and scrapped at Tucson on February 26, 1951.

2130, Class T-11, was built by Cooke in May 1888, #1893, as 321. It was renumbered 1722 in 1891 and 2130 in 1901. It was retired at Albany, OR, on February 24, 1924, and scrapped at Brooklyn on April 23, 1924. Thanks for Tony Johnson for the information.

2161, Class T-9, was built by Schenectady in March 1888, #2528, as 257.  It was renumbered 1706 in 1891 and 2161 in 1901.  It got a new boiler in Sacramento in May 1907 and retired on June 9, 1919.  It was restored on December 3, 1919.  It was leased to Clackamas Eastern from December 3, 1935, until October 7, 1938.  It was scrapped at Brookyn on March 11, 1949.

2208, Class T-6, was built by Cooke in December 1865, as Central Pacific 19 "Carson". It was burned on November 27, 1873, and rebuilt on December 26, 1873. It was rebuilt at Sacramento Shops in December 1885, #23, as Central Pacific 19. It was renumbered SP 1762 in 1891 and 2208 in 1901. It was retired January 31, 1922, and scrapped at Albany on February 6, 1923.

2248, Class T-1, was built by Cooke in July 1896, #2341, as 1829, Class DA. In 1901 it was renumbered 2248, Class T-1. It was assigned to fire train service until more modern methods were developed. It was leased to Pacific Fruit Express from March 15, 1945, until March 10, 1949, and then when into display use until the flue time expired in 1959. It was retired at Sacramento on May 3, 1961, and sold for scrap to Purdy Co on May 8, 1961. It was purchased for tourist use in California by C T Brown, but that failed to materialize. In 1974 it was sold to the Texas State RR and rehabilitated as TSR 200 in June 1976. After 5 years of service, the locomotive was stored until purchased by the Fort Worth & Western in 1990. It was restored at 8th Avenue with the exception of boiler work. It operated until 1999 when the boiler required major work. It was replaced by Coe Rail for a short time. The locomotive was then rebuilt in 2001 and was in service. It was sold as Grapevine Vintage RR 2248 "Puffy" in 2004.

2252, Class T-1, was built by Cooke in March 1897, #2360, as 1838, Class DA.  In 1901 it was renumbered 2252, Class T-1.  It was assigned to fire trai service in May 27, 1929, and retired on February 27, 1956.  It was donated to City of Roseville on April 25, 1956.

2267, Class T-1, was built by Cooke in February 1895, #2300, as 1809, Class DA.  In 1901 it was renumbered 2267, Class T-1.  It was scrapped at Bayshore on July 31, 1948.

2303, Class T-23, was built by Baldwin in August 1903, #22692. It was superheated at Sacramento on February 9, 1924. It was leased to the Northwestern Pacific from Octobber 28, 1945, to January 19, 1947. It was retired on June 9, 1955, at Tracy. It was sold for scrap to Luria Bros on March 13, 1957, and scrapped on April 18, 1957.

2304, Class T-23, was built by Baldwin in September 1903, #23815.  It was superheated at Los Angeles on September 20, 1919.  It was leased to Sud Pacifico de Mexico on March 13. 1950, and sold as Ferrocarrill del Pacifico 511 on December 21, 1951.

2306, Class T-23, was built by Baldwin in September 1903, #22837. It was superheated at Sacramento on June 18, 1919. It was retired at Eugene on January 19, 1952, and sold for scrap to Luria Bros on March 7, 1952.

2310, Class T-23, was built by Baldwin in October 1903, #23077. It was superheated and received a feedwater heater at Sacramento on January 4, 1928. It was retired April 20, 1954, at West Oakland and scrapped at Sacramento on June 21, 1954.

2315, Class T-28, was built by Baldwin in September 1907, #31698. It was superheated at Los Angeles on August 30, 1918, and was leased to Sud Pacifico de Mexico from June 10, 1936, until July 20, 1942. It was retired on January 22, 1953, and scrapped at Bayshore on April 8, 1953.

2321, Class T-28, was built by Baldwin in September 1907, #31793. It was superheated at Sacramento on October 15, 1917, and was leased to SPdeM as 906 on April 19, 1935. It was renumbered 2321 on June 1, 1942, and returned to SP 2321 on March 25, 1949. It was retired at Roseville on October 6, 1954, and sold for scrap to Luria Bros on January 13, 1955.

2336, Class T-28, was built by Alco-Brooks in March 1908, #45056. It was superheated at Sacramento on January 15, 1918, and was leased to the Northwestern Pacific from June 14, 1940, until September 20, 1951. It was retired on September 27, 1956 as West Oakland and sold to Luria Bros for scrap on Octobr 17, 1956.

2386, Class T-58, was built by Baldwin in November 1907, #32251, as Las Vegas & Tonopah 10.  It was sold as San Diego & Arizona 26 in 1919 and sold as SP 2386, Class T-58,  on June 20, 1941.  It was resold as SD&AE 25 on September 19, 1948.  It was scrapped in October 1951.
