Electro-Motive SW1, SW600 Locomotives
1207, SW1, was built September 10, 1942, #1738, FN E489-1. It was rebuilt as slug BU-3 and was completed at Chicago on December 24, 1958. It was retired on May 13, 1982, and traded in to Electro-Motive in April 1986. It was scrapped at St. Louis Auto Shredding.
1208, SW1, was built September 17, 1942, #1739, FN E489-2. It was retired on March 25, 1970, and sold to Precision National on October 28, 1970.
1210, SW1, was built September 26, 1942, #1741, FN E489-4. It was renumbered 615 on August 23, 1971, and sold to Chicago West Pullman & Southern as 37 when it was retired.
1212, SW1, was built November 6, 1942, #1743, FN E489-6. It was wrecked and retired on July 22, 1974. It was scrapped at Oelwein on July 11, 1974.
1214, SW1, was built November 10, 1942, #1744, FN E489-7. It was renumbered 617 on July 27, 1971, and was retired September 13, 1978. It was sold to Wilson-Cramer Locomotive on April 11, 1979, and resold to Wabash Valley RR as 1801 in September 1979.
1215, SW1, was built December 8, 1942, #1745, FN E489-8. It was renumbered 618 on July 16, 1971, and retired on September 5, 1978. It was sold to Wilson-Cramer Locomotive on March 8, 1979, and sold to Anheuser-Busch Co. It was resold as Dome Railway Service Co 618.
1268, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18101, FN 4177-1. It was retired on June 1, 1978, and sold to Wilson-Cramer Locomotive. They sold it to CWPS as 38. It was later sold to Midwest Steel Co.
1269, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18102, FN 4177-2. It was sold to Wilson-Cramer Locomotive Co. on June 1, 1978, was later sold to Farmers Grain Dealers Association in Avon, IA, as 1269. The company later became Avon Grain Co.
1271, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18111, FN 4227-1. It was retired on April 24, 1978 and sold to Wilson-Cramer. It was sold to Chrome Crankshaft and resold as Amoco Corp 555 at Whiting, IN. It was transferred to Mandan, ND, and the refinery was sold as Tesoro Corp. It was sold to the North Dakota Railroad Museum in 2012.
1273, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18105, FN 4177-5. It was retired on November 10, 1977, and sold to Wilson-Cramer. They sold it to CWPS as 39. It was later sold to Hollis & Eastern as 39.
1274, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18106, FN 4228-1. It was retired on March 27, 1978, and sold to Wilson-Cramer Locomotive Co. It was resold to Reynolds Aluminum Corp as 89.
1277, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18109, FN 4228-4. It was retired on January 13, 1978, and sold to Wilson-Cramer on February 21, 1978. They sold it to Fort Worth Railway Services as 1277. It later became Trinity Industries Y1252.
1278, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18110, FN 4228-5. It was retired on May 17, 1978, and sold to Cargill Inc, Duluth, MN, as 1278.
1279, SW1, was built in May 1953, #18112, FN 4228-6. It was retired on June 1, 1978, and sold to Wilson-Cramer. It was sold to Peavey Grain Co, Duluth, MN, as 1279. It was sold as Cargill CAGX 1279 and became Berthold Farmers Elevator BFEX 1279.
1280, SW600, was built in March 1954, #19513, FN 4267-1. It was retired on March 20, 1978, and sold to Peavey, Convent, LA, as 1280.
1281, SW600, was built in March 1954, #19514, FN 4267-2. It was retired on November 10, 1977, and sold to Peavey Grain Co, Kearney, NE, as 1281, in March 1978.
