New Albany & Louisville Ry.

The line was wide gauge over railroad lines over the bridge  across the Ohio River.  It was a line of the Interstate Public Service and Indiana RR abandoned in 1934.  It was taken over by local owners and ended after the war.

773 was built by Kuhlman Car Co in July 1923 as Louisville Rys 773.  It was leased as NA&L 773 in 1934 and retired in 1945.

Purdue University

2611, test car, was built by J G Brill Car Co in 1903 as "Louisiana", a demo car.  It was rebuilt with a windsplitter end in 1908 and donated to Purdue.  It was donated to National Museum of Tramsportation  in 1951.


RAIL Foundation

S-606 was built by Cincinnati in January 1923, #2620, as Chicago North Shore & Milwaukee 606. In 1963 it became Chicago Transit Authority S-606 and burned in 1978. The remains were sold to the Indiana Transportation Museum.  It was later sold to RF in 2018.

4293 was built by Cincinnati Car in 1922, #2660, as Chicago Rapid Transit Co 4293.  It became Chicago Transit Authory 4293 in 1947.  It was sold to ITM on August 16, 1976, and it was sold to RF in 2018.


St. Joseph Valley Traction Co.

101 was built by FM Hicks & Co 1905.  It was burned in 1907.

151 "Orland" was built by Fairbanks Morse-Sheffield in 1907.  It burned in 1911.

202 was built by McGuire-Cummings Co in 1912.  It was renumbered 201 by 1917.

203 was built by Federal Storage Battery Co in 1913.

Singer Sewing Machine Co.

3 was built by General Electric in 1898.  It was purchased by Bob Selle in 1955 when the plant was closed and it was brought to North Chicago, IL, where it was stored with the Illinois Electric Railway Museum.  When Bob moved back to Indiana, it was sent to the Indiana Transportation Museum who show it as 1 in error.

2 was built by McGuire-Cummings Co in 1906.

22 was built by Osgood-Bradley Car Co in 1921, #6520, as Department of Street Railways (Detroit), but unknown number.  It was sold as WSCo 22 in 1924 and retired in 1938.

24 was built by Osgood-Bradley Car Co in 1921, #6529, as DRS, but unknown number.  It was sold as WSCo 24 in 1924 and retired in 1938.

42 was built by Jackson & Sharp.  It was sold as Beech Grove Traction Co 202 in 1911.

50 was built by Jewett Car Co in 1906.

51 was built by Jewett Car Co in 1906.

60 was built by Cincinnati Car Co in February 1925, #2855.  It was one-manned in 1929.

62 was built by Cincinnati Car Co in February 1925, #2855.  It was one-manned in 1929.

607 was built by Interstate Public Service Co in 1925 as IPSCo 607.  It was sold to WSCo as 607 in 1930 and retired in 1938.  It was rebuilt as 601, a snow plow.

There was a flood in 1912 but I think there were several more over the years.
