1869 was built by Electro-Motive in January 1955, #20148, as  Illinois Central 9069. GP9.  It was rebuilt by Paducah in May 1969 as Illinois Central Gulf 8069.  It later became Gulf & Mississippi as 8069 in July 1985 and later as MidSouth Rail 1069.  It was rebuilt by Alstom as KCS 1869, GG20B, on June 10, 2005, #1RPGGB20151000033
