Soo Line Railway
Electro-Motive NW1, NW2 Diesels
301, NW2 was built in September 1939, #888, FN E274-2, as Minneapolis St Paul & Sault Ste Marie 301. It became Soo Line 301 in January 1961 and retired in September 1978. It was sold to Chrome Crankshaft in August 1979. It was apparently sold to United States Steel at Pittsburgh and believed to be scrapped.
2101, NW1A, Class D-20, was built in December 1938, #842, FN E227-s, as Wisconsin Central RR 2101, Class D-20. It later became Soo Line 2101 in 1961 and was scrapped in June 1965.
2108, NW2, Class D-22, was built in August 1948, #7415. FN E1054-1, as WC 2108, Class D-22. It later became Soo Line RR 2108 in January 1961 and was retired in October 1980. It was sold to Carland Inc and became Kansas City Southern 4231. It was scrapped at Shreveport in March 1986.
