 Aberdeen & Rockfish RR

 

35 was built by Baldwin in 1921 as Sewell Valley RR 8.  It was sold as A&R 35 in 1929 and sold to Elk River Coal & Lumber Co in 1949.

40 was built by Alco-Brooks in August 1920, #61850, as Portland Astoria & Pacific 101.  It was sold as Minarets & Western RR 101 in May 1922 and sold to Birmingham Rail & Locomotive in November 1935.  It was sold as A&R 40 in December 1935.  It was retired in 1952 and sold as Valley RR of Connecticut 40 in 1977.

50 was built by Baldwin.

205, GP7, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1951, #14572, FN 5086-1.

300, GP18, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1963, #28357, FN 7660-1.

400, GP38, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1968, #34029, FN 5737-1.

405, GP38, was built by Electro-Motive in January 1967, #31949, FN 5706-1, as Erie Mining Co 700.  It was renumbered 7250  in 1970 and renumbered 4215.  It became LTV Steel Mining Co 4215 in 1985.  It was sold as Northern Illinois & Wisconsin RR 4215 and sold as A&R 405.

2486, CF7, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1951, #13728, FN 3095-A2, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 259C, Class 200, an F7A.  It was rebuilt at Cleburne in January 1975 as 2486, Class 2417 and retired on January 9, 1986.  It was sold to Blue Mountain & Reading in 1986 and sold as Pee Dee River RR 2486 in 1987.  It was transferred as A&R 2486 in July 2010.

106 was built by American Car & Foundry in 1935, Order #1432, as Seaboard Air Line RR 2026, part of a three car order, 2024 thru 2026. It was sold to the A&R as 106. In 1951 it was purchased as Salt Lake Garfield & Western M.C.3 to replace the electric cars. In 1963 it went to California Western where it was numbered M300 and operates in "Skunk" service.

Dunn-Erwin Ry.

5072, NW2, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1949, #10373, as Chesapeake & Ohio 5072, Class SE-10.  It was reclassified Class NW-2 in 1964 and sold as D-E 5072 in December 1987.  It was sold as Reagent Chemical & Research Inc no number.


Pee Dee River RR

1800, GP7u, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1951, #13895, as Atlantic Coast Line 215, a GP7.  It became Seaboard Coast Line 835 in July 1967 and  rebuilt at Uceta in March 1981 as 4754.  It became Seaboard System 4754 and later renumbered 1800.  It became CSX Transportation 1800, Class GP-16, and retired on February 19, 1993.  It was sold as Louisville & Indiana RR 1800 and sold as PDRR 1800 in 1997.

1842, GP7u, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1952, #15539, as Seaboard Air Line RR 1795.  It became SCL 975 in July 1967 and rebuilt at Uceta as 4796 in July 1982.  It became SBD 4796 and renumbered 1842.  It became CSX 1842, Class GP-16, and sold as L&IRR 1842 in 1993.  It was sold as PDRR 1842 in 2002.

5081, SW9, was built by Electro-Motive in April 1952, #11714, as Chesapeake & Ohio 5081, Class SW-12.  It was reclassified Class SW-9 in 1964 and transferred as Baltimore & Ohio 5081, Class SW-9 on October 29, 1973.  It was retired on January 9, 1987, and sold to A&R on October 2, 1987.  It was assigned as PDRR 5081 and used on Dunn-Erwin RR in 1998.  It is thought it was sold to Ed Futch in 2000.
