Coe Rail was incorporated January 31, 1984, and provided excursion and limited freight between Wixom and Walled Lake, Michigan

Coe Rail came to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in 1999 to take over operation of the Tarantula Steam Train and to operate a dinner train from Grapevine to Carrollton. It didn't last long. There were problems between the Fort Worth & Western and the Coe Sun group which culminated in a collision between the Tarantula train, pulled by an F7 running backwards, and a FWWR tanker train. In May 2000, Coe was kicked out. Here are a couple of pictures of the F7s which were nicknamed the "Bondo Flyer" because of the type of repair work which was done to make them serviceable.

Dinner service is still maintained in Michigan even though it was not able to service in Texas.

Coe was resold and renamed to MAL in June 2006.

52, S1, was built by Alco in July 1945, #73578, as Port Huron & Detroit 52.  It was sold as Coe 52 in May 1985.

70, S1, was built by Alco in June 1945, #73354, as Delray Connecting RR 70.  It was sold as Coe 70.

102, S4m, was built by Alco in August 1956, #81974, as Grand Trunk Western 8199, Class MS-10m.  It was rebuilt in 1980 as 1002, Class CS-9, and sold as Coe 102 in October 1992.  It was sold as Louisville New Albany & Corydon 86 in 1997.

105, 20GM24, was built by Whitcomb in January 1942, #13214, as Quartermaster Corp 2089.  It was renumbered United States Army7720 and sold as Dundee Cement Co 105.  It was sold as Coe 105 and resold as Durbin & Greenbriar Valley RR no number.  It was sold to Whippany Railway Museum in 2004 and restored as New York Susquehanna & Western 150.

407, F7A, was built by Electro-Motive in July 1949, #8548, as Chicago & North Western 4072A. It was renumbered 407 in December 1971 and was sold to Regional Transit Authority (Metra) on December 31, 1977, and leased back to the C&NW. It was retired on May 9, 1983, and was sold to Naporano Iron & Metal in January 1985. It was resold to the Cedar Valley RR in May 1985 and later sold to Coe Rail as 407.  It was sold to NRE in 2000 and sold to Norfolk Southern as SOU 407 in December 2012.

416, F7A, was built by Electro-Motive in October, 1949, #8558, as C&NW 4077A. It was renumbered 416 in January 1972 and was sold to RTA on December 31, 1977, and leased back to C&NW. It was retired on May 4, 1983, and was sold to Naporano in January 1985. It was resold to Cedar Valley in May 1985 and later sold to Coe Rail as 416. It was scrapped in October 2010.
