Saint Louis Car Co.
5 was built by St Louis Car Co. The Illinois Railway Museum used the wheel sets and motor shells when it was scrapped in the restoration of Northwestern Elevated Railroad car 24.
7 was built by Union Traction Co of Indiana as 786 in 1927. It became Indiana RR 786 in 1930 and rebuilt in 1939. It was sold to StLCCo as 7 in 1943.
9 was built by Illinois Traction Co in 1918 as IT 1575, Class B. It was sold to StLCCo as 9 on June 23 1953, and sold to Museum of Transporation in September 1963.
11 was built by ITC in 1914 as IT 1567, Class B. It was sold to SLCCo as 11 on January 17, 1955.
600 was built in by St. Louis Car in 1924 as a demonstrator. It was sold as Kankakee & Urbana Traction Co 242 in 1924. It was purchased by Third Avenue Ry in 1930 and numbered 1702. It served for a short time and then was stored. After the Texas cars were put in service, it was rebuilt and became TARS 1250 on July 24, 1934. It was scrapped on July 6, 1948.
14181 was built by St Louis Car Co in November 1929, Order #1524, as trolley, battery, and diesel powered. It became Illinois Terminal 52 in 1930. The batteries were removed on April 19, 1940, and it was sold for scrap to Clerman Iron & Metal Co on February 10, 1956.
14182 was built by St Louis Car Co in November 1929, Order #1524, as trolley, battery, and diesel powered. It entered service on the IT as 14182 but was renumbered 51 shortly afterwards. It originally was equipped with a pantograph in addition to the two trolley poles. The batteries were removed on April 19, 1940, and the locomotive was sold for scrap to Hyman Michaels on February 13, 1956.
This un-numbered demonstrator Birney was built by SLCCo.
