Electric Locomotives and Express Cars
51 was built by St Louis Car Co in November 1929, Order #1524, as trolley, battery, and diesel powered as St Louis Car Co 14182, a demonstrator. It entered service on the IT as 14182 but was renumbered 51 shortly afterwards. It originally was equipped with a pantograph in addition to the two trolley poles. The batteries were removed on April 19, 1940, and the locomotive was sold for scrap to Hyman Michaels on February 13, 1956.
52 was built by St Louis Car Co in November 1929, Order #1524. It was a duplicate of 51 as St. Louis Car Co 14181. It became IT 52 in 1930. The batteries were removed on April 19, 1940, and it was sold for scrap to Clerman Iron & Metal Co on February 10, 1956.
61 was built by Alco-General Electric in 1907 as Danville Street Ry & Light Co 102. It became IT 1559 in 1908 and was rebuilt at Decatur in September 1939 to operate on both trolley and diesel. On April 24, 1952, it was sold to Allis-Chalmers Co as 2 and was rebuilt for straight diesel operation. In 1965 it was sold to Sidney Goldman, apparently for scrap.
70, Class D, was built at Decatur in December 1924 as 1580, Class C. It was rebuilt on September 10, 1940, as 70 and sold for scrap to Biermann Iron & Metal Co in February 1956.
72, Class D, was built at Decatur in August 1928 as 1591, Class C. It was rebuilt on December 12, 1942, as 72 and sold for scrap to Biermann in February 1956.
74, Class D, was built at Decatur in July 1926 as 1588, Class C. It was rebuilt on September 26, 1942, as 74 and sold for scrap to Compressed Steel Co on March 27, 1956.
100 was built by Danville Ry & Light Co in 1903.
603 was built by Cincinnati Car Co in February 1930, #3060, as Cincinnati & Lake Erie Ry 644. It was purchased and rebuilt as IT 603 in 1939.
1507 was built by Danville Ry & Light Co in 1903 as a pull car. It was rebuilt as a line car in 1922 and renumbered 1702 in August 1925. It was purchased by Illinois Electric Ry Museum on October 11, 1958.
1520 was built by Danville Ry & Light Co in 1903 as 1006. It was rebuilt as 1520 in August 1923.
1550, Class A, was built by Danville Car Co in 1907. It was rebuilt as 1556 in 1928.
1554, Class A, was build by Danville Car Co in 1907. Disposition is not known, but it was probably sold for scrap in 1956.
1560, Class A, was built by Alco-General Electric in 1907 as Danville Street Ry & Light Co 103. It became IT 1560 in 1908 and was sold for scrap to Purdy Co on July 16, 1951.
1561, Class B, was built at Decatur in 1910. It was rebuilt as snowplow 020 on December 9, 1955, and sold for scrap to Clerman Iron & Metal on September 19, 1959.
1563, Class B, was built at Decatur in 1910. It was sold for scrap to Hyman Michaels on May 25, 1955.
1564, Class B, was built at Decatur in 1910. It was sold for scrap to Compressed Steel on May 13, 1956.
1565, Class B, was built at Decatur in 1910. It was sold to Illinois Power & Light Co at Champaign on April 10, 1955. It was acquired by Illinois Railway Museum in 1960.
1566, Class B, was built at Decatur in 1910. It was sold to IP&LCo at Danville on April 29, 1952.
1567, Class B, was built at Decatur in 1914. It was sold to St Louis Car Co as 11 on January 17, 1955.
