Electro-Motive SW9 Diesels

8933, Class SW9, was built in May 1951, #14045, FN 4103-3, as Lehigh Valley 282, Class DS-7. It reclassified as Class ESM-12 and became Conrail 8933, Class SW9, in April 1976.  It was sold as Everett RR 8933 in  January 1985 and resold as Huntsvillee & Madison County RR Authority 8933 in 2002.

8934, Class SW9, was built in May 1951, #14046, FN 4103-4, as Lehigh Valley 283, Class DS-7. It reclassified as Class ESM-12 and became Conrail 8934, Class SW9, in April 1976. It was sold to Mississippi River Grain Co as 8934 in September 9, 1991.

8937, Class SW9, was built in May 1951, #14499, FN 4120-1, as LV 286, Class DS-7.  It was reclassified as Class ESM-12 and be Conrail 8937, Class SW9.  It was not lettered for a while.  It was retired.

8938, Class SW9, was built in May 1951, #14500, FN 4120-2, as LV 287, Class DS-7.  It reclassified as Class ESM-12 and became Conrail 8938, Class SW9, in April 1976.  It was retired.

8941, Class SW9, was built in March 1952, #15487, FN 4109-1, as New York Central 8941, Class DES-16m.  It was reclassified Class ES-12 in 1966 and became Penn Central 8941, Class ES-12, in 1968.  It became Conrail 8941, Class SW-9, in April 1976 and sold as Rail Link 241.

8949, Class SW9, was built in February 1952, #15495, FN 4109-9, as NYC 8949, Class DES-16m.  It was reclassified Class ES-12 in 1966 and became PC 8949, Class ES-12, in 1968.  It became Conrail 8949, Class SW-9, in April 1976 and sold to Midwest Steel in June 1981.  It was sold to Johnson Railway Services in 1982 and sold as Ford Motor Co 12006.  It was sold as Flats Industrial RR 12 and sold to Chattanooga Railcar Services.  It was sold to Gulf & Ohio as Kingsport Handling LLC 1010.

8951, Class SW9, was built in July 1951, #14745, FN 4122-1, as Central RR of Pennsylvania 1084, Class SD-36.  It became Central RR of New Jersey 1084, Class SD-36, and became Conrail 8951, Class SW-9, in April 1976.  It was retired on September 25, 1990.  It was sold to Rail Switching Services as RSSX 8951.

8990, Class SW-9, was built in February 1953, #16312, FN 4192-1, as NYC 8990, Class DES-16q.  It was reclassified Class ES-12 in 1966 and became PC 8990, Class ES-12, in 1968.  It became Conrail 8990, Class SW-9, in April 1976 and sold as Everett RR in January 1985.  It was sold as York Rail 99 and transferred as Rail Link Inc 1250.

9010, Class SW9, was built in March 1951, #13829, FN 4099-1, ex Erie RR 434, Class SE-12. It became Erie Lackawanna 434, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9010, Class SW9, in April 1976..

9010, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #15933, FN 4169-1, ex Erie RR 435, Class SE-12. It became EL 435, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9011, Class SW9, in April 1976. It was scrapped at Hollidaysburg, PA.

9013, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #15935, FN 4169-3, ex Erie RR 437, Class SE-12. It became EL 437, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9013, Class SW9 , in April 1976.

9014, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #15936, FN 4169-4, as Erie RR 438, Class SE-12. It became EL 438, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9014, Class SW9, in April 1976. In December 1976 it became New Jersey Transit 438. After retirement it was acquired by the United Ry Historical Society.

9015, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #16173, FN 6378-1, as Erie RR 439, Class SE-12. It became EL 439, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9015, Class SW9, in April 1976.

9016, Class SW9, was built in January 1952, #16174, FN 6378-2, as Erie RR 440, Class SE-12. It became EL 440, Class SE-12, in 1960, but was not relettered for several years. In April 1976, it became Conrail 9016, Class SW-9.

9025, Class SW9, was built in July 1952, #15734, FN 6341-4, as Delaware Lackawanna & Western 557. It became EL 452, Class SE-12, 1960, and became Conrail 9025, Class SW-9, in April 1976. It was sold to Electro-Motive.

9131, Class ES-12, was built in March 1953, #16736, FN 4170-13, as Pennsylvania RR 8531, Class ES-12.  It was renumbered 9131 in 1966 and became PC 9131, Class ES-12, kn 1968.  It became Conrail 9131, Class SW-9, in April 1976, and sold as Albany Port RR 13 in 1986.  It was sold as Depew Lancaster & Western 13 in October 2019.
