GP40 Diesels
193, GP40TC, was built by General Motors in October 1966, #A2126, FN 313-2, as Canadian National 601, Class GRE-30a. It was transferred to Government of Ontario Transit as 601, Class GRE-30a. It December 1969 it was renumbered 9801, Class GRE-30a, and later renumbered 501, Class GRE-30a. It was sold in 1988 to Amtrak as 193 and later renumbered 521.
195, GP40TC, was built by General Motors in November 1966, #A2128, FN C313-4, as CN 603, Class GRE-30a. It was transferred to GOT as 603, Class GRE-30a. In December 1969 it was renumbered 9803, Class GRE-30a, and later renumbered 503, Class GRE-30a. It was sold in 1988 to Amtrak as 195 and later renumbered 523.
198, GP40TC, was built by General Motors in November 1966, #A2131, FN C313-7, as CN 606, Class GRE-30a. It was transferred to GO as 606, Class GRE-30a. In December 1969 it was renumbered 9806, Class GRE-30a, and later renumbered 506, Class GRE-30a. It was later sold to Amtrak as 198 in 1988 and later renumbered 526.
199, GP40TC, was built by General Motors in December 1966, #A2132, FN C313-8, as CN 607, Class GRE-30a. It was transferred to GO as 607, Class GRE-30a, In December 1969 it was renumbered 9807, Class GRE-30a, and later renumbered 507, Class GRE-30a. It was sold to Amtrak as 199 in 1988 and rebuilt at Wilmington in August 1998 as GP38H-3 and renumbered 527.
650, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in October
1967, #33515, FN 7064-25, as
New York Central
3104, Class EF-30. It became PC 3104,
Class EF-30, in 1968 and
Consolidated Railroad
Corp 3104, Class GP-40, on April 1976.
It was sold to Kyle as 3104 and later to Helm as 3104. It was rebuilt as
as Amtrak 650 and later returned to Helm as 650. It was
renumbered 4405
651, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1967, #33499, FN 7064-9, as NYC
3088, Class EF-30. It became PC 3088, Class EF-30, in 1968, and Conrail 3088, Class GP-40, in April 1976. It was sold to
Kyle RR as
3108 and later to
Helm Leasing as 3108. It was rebuilt as Amtrak 651 and later returned
to Helm as 651. It was renumbered 4406
654, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1967, #33494, FN FN
7064-4, as NYC
3083, Class EF-30. It became PC 3083, Class EF-30, in 1968, and Conrail 3083,
Class GP-40, in April 1976. It was sold to
Arkansas & Missouri as 3083 and then
sold to Kyle RR as 3116. It sold to Helm as 3116 and was rebuilt as Amtrak 654
and later returned to Helm as 654. It was later renumbered 4407 and sold as WAMX 4043.
655, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1967, #33501, FN 7064-11, FN 7064-11, as NYC 3090, Class EF-30. It became PC 3090, Class EF-30, in 1968, and Conrail 3090, Class GP-40, in April 1976. It was sold to Kyle as 3117 and later to Helm as 3117. It was rebuilt as Amtrak 655 and later returned to Helm as 655. It was renumbered 4414 and became WAMX 4046.
656, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in February 1970, #36168, FN 5759-3, as Illinois Central 3072. It was sold to Helm as 3072 and rebuilt as Amtrak 656. It was later returned to Helm as 656 and later renumbered 4403. It was sold as WAMX 4038.
657, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1968, #34691. FN 7145-58, as Penn Central 3227, Class EF-30. In April 1976 it became Conrail 3227, Class GP-40, and was sold in January 1984 to Boston & Maine as 320. It was rebuilt by VMV as Amtrak 657 in 1991 and returned as Helm 657 in June 1993. It was renumbered 4408.
658, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1968, #34593, as PC 3229, Class EF-30. In April 1976 it became Conrail 3229, Class GP-40, and was sold in January 1984 to B&M as 321. It was rebuilt by VMV as Amtrak 658 in 1991 and returned as Helm 658 in June 1993. It was renumbered 4409 and sold as WAMX 4034.
659, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1968, #34697, as PC 3233, Class EF-30. In April 1976 it became Conrail 3233, Class GP-40, and was sold in 1983 to B&M as 323. It was rebuilt by VMV as Amtrak 659. It was later returned to Helm as 659. It was renumbered 4410 and sold as WAMX 4035.
660, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1968, #34698, FN 7145-65, as PC 3234, Class EF-30. In April 1976 it became Conrail 3234, Class GP-40, and was sold in January 1984 to B&M as 324. Ut was rebuilt as Amtrak 660 in 1991 and returned as Helm as 660. It was renumbered 4411.
661 was built in December 1968, #34710, FN 7145-77, as PC 3246, Class EF-30. In April 1976 it became Conrail 3246, Class GP-40, and was sold in January 1984 to B&M as 3246. It was renumbered 341 shortly. It was rebuilt by VMV Enterprises in 1991 as Amtrak 661 and sold to Helm Leasing as HLCX 661 in 1993. It was renumbered 4404 in 1994 and sold as Huron Central Ry 3802.
662, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in March 1966, #31673, as Chicago Milwaukee St Paul & Pacific 187, Class 30E-RS. It was renumbered 2007 in 1968 and became Soo Line RR 2007 in 1985. It had been assigned 4642, but was retired in February 1989. It was sold to Helm Leasing in September 1988 and was leased to Amtrak as 662.
