Oregon Short Line RR

Steam Locomotives

13 was built by Baldwin in March 1879, #4562, as Utah & Northern Ry 13.  It became Oregon Short Line & Utah Northern Ry 13 in August 1889 and sold out in February 1897.  It was sold as Glasgow & Western Exploration Co. in 1899 as Golconda & Adelaide RR "Pearl" and sold to Sugarman Iron & Metal Co in March 1913.  It was sold as Nevada Short Line  1 in 1914 and sold to a scrap dealer in 1920.  It was sold as Nevada Central RR 6 in 1924 and sold to J M Hiskey in 1938.  It was sold to Golden Gate International Exposition in 1938 and donated to Railway & Locomotive Historical Society (Oakland) in 1941.  It was transferred to Pacific Coast Chapter and donated to California State Railway Museum in 1969.

400 was built by Grant in March 1887, #1712, as Utah & Northern Ry 760.  It became Oregon Short Line & Utah Northern 760 in 1889 and became OSL 324 in 1897.  It was rebuilt in 1901 as 400 and renumbered 1009, Class E-69, in 1915.  It was retired in 1922 and scrapped in 1926.

533, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in March 1903, #21755, as 973.  It was renumbered in 1915 as 533 and renumbered 6533 in 1958.  It was retired in June 1958 and donated to Rawlins, WY.

535, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in March 1903, #21790, as 975,  It was renumbered in 1915 as 535 and renumbered 6535 in 1958,  It was retired in March 1959 and donated to Laramie, WY.

537, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in March 1903, #21814, as 977.  It was renumbered 537 in 1915 and renumbered 6537 in March 1958.  It was retired in March 1958.

583, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in September 1906, #28698, as 1033.  It was renumbered 583 in 1915 and retired in January 1956.

596, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in February 1907, #30229, as 1045.  It was renumbered 596 in 1915 and retired in May 1956.

599, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in February 1907, #30232, as 1049.  It was renumbered 599 in 1915 and retired in May 1947.

601, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in February 1907, #30242, as 1051.  It was renumbered 601 in 1915 and retired in December 1933.

602, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in February 1907, #30243, as 1052.  It was renumbered 602 in 1915 and retired in December 1955.

604, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in May 1907, #30856, as 1054.  It was renumbered 604 in 1915 and retired in May 1955.

608, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in May 1907, #30875, as 1058.  It was renumbered 608 in 1915 and retired in May 1955.

616, Class C-57, was built by Baldwin in July 1907, #31248, as 1066.  It was renumbered 616 in 1915 and donated to City of Nampa, ID, in August 1958.

2025, Class MK-2, was built by Baldwin in October 1912, #38553, as 1125.  It was renumbered 2025 in 1915 and retired in July 1954..

2519, Class MK-5, was built by Baldwin in April 1913, #39587, as Union Pacific 720.  It was renumbered 2220 in 1915 and sold as OSL 2519 in 1923.  It was retired in May 1956.

2521, Class MK-7, was built by Baldwin in April 1913,#39592, as UP 725.  It was renumbered 2225 in 1915 and sold as OSL 2521 in 1923.  It was retired in June 1958.

2523, Class MK-7, was built by Lima in September 1917, #5583.  It was transferred as Los Angeles & Salt Lake 3714 on September 18, 1918, and renumbered 2714 in 1921.

2537, Class MK-Spec, was built by Alco-Schenectady in December 1918, #60237.  It was retired in July 1959 and donated to City of Walla Walla, WA, in December 1959.

2540, Class MK-Spec, was built by Alco-Schenectady in January 1919, #60330.  It was retired in July 1956.

2547, Class MK-Spec, was built by Alco-Schenectady in January 1919, #60337.  It was retired in March 1956.

3100, Class P-3,  was built by Baldwin in January 1906, #27317, as 875.  It was renumbered 3100 in 1915 and retired in March 1947.

3110, Class P-6,  was built by Baldwin in January 1911, #35839, as 885.  It was renumbered 3110 in 1915 and retired in March 1947.

3132, Class P-10, was built by Lima in October 1914, #1447, as 918.  It was renumbered 3132 in 1915 and retired in July 1947.

3138, Class P-11, was built by Baldwin in March 1919, #51445.  It was retired in January 1955.

4701, was built by Baldwin in March 1901, #18764, as 560.  It was renumbered 552 in 1908 and renumbered 4701, Class S-51, in 1915.  It was retired in 1926.

9500, Class UP-5, was built by Alco-Schenectady in July 1930, #68490, as Union Pacific 9063, Class UP-5.  It was delivered as OSL 9500, Class UP-5, and retired in January 1956.

 

9501, Class UP-5, was built by Alco-Schenectady in July 1930, #68491, as UP 9064, Class UP-5.  It was delivered as OSL 9501, Class UP-5, and retired in January 1956.

9503, Class UP-5, was built by Alco-Schenectady in July 1930, #68493, as UP 9066, Class UP-5.  It was delivered as OSL 9503, Class UP-5, and retired in September 1955.

9510, Class UP-5, was built by Alco-Schenectady in July 1930, #68500, as UP 9073, Class UP-5.  It was delivered as OSL 9510, Class UP-5, and retired in July 1955.

9512, Class UP-5, was built by Alco-Schenectady in July 1930, #68502, as UP 9075, Class UP-5.  It was delivered as OSL 9512, Class UP-5, and retired in September 1955.

9514, Class UP-5, was built by Alco-Schenectady in July 1930, #68504, as UP 9077, Class UP-5.  It was delivered as OSL 9514, Class UP-5, in 1930 and retired in August 1954.
