006, GP40, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1970, #36784, FN 7272-2, as Western Pacific 3523, Class RS-68. It was assigned Union Pacific as 672, Class GP-40, and retired on August 20, 1985. It was returned to Helm and in April 1987 it became Chicago Missouri & Western 3009. It became Gateway Western RR 3009 in January 1990. It was sold to Wilson in September 1990 and then to Wisconsin Central Ltd as 3006 in December 1990. It was sold to Progress Rail in 2012 and sold as BT 006 in December 2013.
