Electro-Motive SD24 Diesels
400B, Class SD24B, was built in June 1959, #25388, FN 5602-B1. It was rebuilt at Paducah in August 1979 as Illinois Central Gulf 2000 and sold to RailTex in 1994 as Missouri & North Arkansas 1000. It was rebuilt at VMV as rebuilt in Dallas Garland & NorthEastern in September 1998 and was renumbered 2000 in October 2001.
402, Class SD24, was built in June 1959, #25360, FN 5602-A3. It was retired in October 1982 and sold for scrap to Durbano in November 1985.
407, Class SD24, was built in July 1959, #25365, FN 5602-A8. It was sold to Precision National Corp in October 1977 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on February 12, 1980, as PNC 1848. It was sold as Chicago & North Western 6844 on March 31. 1982. It was retired May 14, 1996, and sold to Helm Leasing Corp in February 1997. It was sold to Webb Asset Management as WAMX 1801.
408, Class SD24, was built in August 1959, #25366, FN 5602-A9. It was rebuilt at Paducah in January 1980 as Illinois Central Gulf 2009 and was later sold to National Ry Equipment Co as 2008. They sold it to Wisconsin & Southern as 2009 and was later renumbered 2053.
409B, Class SD24B, was built in July 1959, #25397, FN 5602-B10. It was rebuilt at Paducah in September 1979 as ICG 2001. In 1995 it was sold to RailTex as M&NA 1001. In October 1995 it was transferred to DGNO and relettered the following year. It was rebuilt at VMV in September 1998 as 1800 HP and renumbered 2001 in May 1999. It was rebuilt by National Railway Equipment Co in April 2010, #5602-B10, as a 3GS21C.
418B was built in August 1959, #25406, FN 5602-B19. It was rebuilt at Paducah in November 1979 as ICG 2003.
422, Class SD24, was built in September 1959, #25380, FN 5602-A23.
423, Class SD24, was built in September 1959, #25381, FN 5602-A24. It was rebuilt as SD24M in August 1968 and renumbered 3200 in December 1970. It was renumbered 3399 in March 1972 and renumbered 3999 in November 1976. It was renumbered 99 in October 1978 and retired on March 18, 1985. It was sold for scrap to St Louis Auto Shredding on November 12, 1985.
427, Class SD24, was built in September 1959, #25385, FN 5602-A28. It was sold to PNC in October 1977 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on January 18, 1980, as PNC 1852. It was sold as C&NW 6647 on March 31, 1981. It was sold as WAMX 1802.
431B, Class SD24B, was built in September 1959, #25419, FN 5602-B32. It was retired in April 1978 and sold to Precision National Corp on January 23, 1979.
438B, Class SD24B, was built in September 1959, #25426, FN 5602-B39. It was rebuilt at Paducah in December 1979 as ICG 2005 and was later sold to National Ry Equipment Co as 2005. They sold it to Iowa Interstate RR as 100.
439B, Class SD24B, was built in October 1959, #25427, FN 5602-B40, as UP 439B, SD24B. It was rebuilt at Paducah in December 1979 as ICG 2008 and was later sold to National Ry Equipment Co as 2008. They sold it to Wisconsin & Southern as 2008 and was later renumbered 2052.
448, Class SD24, was built in July 1958, #24701, FN 5579-1, as General Motors Corp 5579, SD24 demonstrator. It was sold to UP as 448 in July 1962 and then rebuilt at Paducah in April 1982 as ICG 2026.
