238, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1977, #776034-3, FN 776034-3, as Missouri Pacific 2140.  It became UP 2140. Class GP38-2, on May 6, 1988, and renumbered 238 on November 13, 2008.  It was reclassified as GP38N in October 2018 and renumbered 646 on January 14, 2019.

282, Class GP38-2, was built in May 1980, #786272-2,  FN 786272-2, as Southern Pacific 4801, Class EF420-3.  It was assigned as 2065, Class GP-38-2, and later planned as 565.  It became 282 on September 12, 2008.  It was rebuilt as Class GP22 on November 16, 2018.
