Electro-Motive NW3, NW5 Diesel Road Switchers

177, NW3, Class RS-1, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1940, #890, FN E334-1, as 5402. It was renumbered 177 in 1943 and traded in to Electro-Motive on February 24, 1965.

179, NW5, Class RS-1, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1941, #892, FN 334-3, as 5404.  It was renumbered 179 in 1943 and sold to Railway Equipment Co on June 26, 1968.  It was sold as A. E. Staley Mfg Co 179.  It was scrapped in November 2018.

186, NW5, Class RS-2, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1946, #3479, FN E687-1. It became Burlington Northern 986, Class NW-5, in 1970 and sold to Colorado & Eastern RR as 986 in December 1981, It later was sold to Denver Ry as 986 and later to Great Western Ry 986.

187, NW5, Class RS-2, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1946, #3480, FN E687-2.  It became BN 987, Class NW-5, in 1970 and retired in July 1982.  It was sold as Pacific Transportation Services 1001 in August 1982 and resold to Pete Replinger as 187.  It was sold as Oregon Pacific RR 187 and is stored.

190, NW5, Class RS-2, was built by Electro-Motive on December 29, 1946, #3483, FN E687-5. It became BN 990, Class NW-5, in 1970 and retired in July 1982. It was sold to C&ERR as 990 in August 1982 and sold to Pielet Brothers for scrap in July 1988.

192, NW5, Class RS-2, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1946, #3485, FN 687-7.  It became BN 992, Class NW-5, in 1970 and retired in July 1982.  It was sold to C&ERR as 992 in August 1982,  It was sold to Iowa Southern Ry as 992 and then to Council Bluffs & Ottumwa Ry as 992.  In 1991 it became Council Bluffs Ry 991 and sold to Lake Superior Railroad Museum.  It was restored as GN 192, Class RS-2, in 1995.

194, NW5, Class RS-2, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1946, #3487, FN 687-9. It became BN 994, Class NW-5, in 1970 and retired in July 1982. It was sold to C&ERR as 994 in August 1982. It was sold to IAS as 994 and then to CB&E as 994. In 1991 it became CBRy as 991.
