Electro-Motive GP38-2 Diesels

2600-2699

 

2600, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-1, FN 72604-1, as L&N 4090, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4090 in January 1983 and was later renumbered 2600 in 1984. It later became CSX 2600, Class GP38-2, in April 1986. It was sold to Helm as 2600 and rebuilt by Metro-East on June 20, 1996, as SP 4864. It was assigned UP 490 in December 1999.

2601, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-2. FN 72604-2, as L&N 4091, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4091 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2601 in 1984. It later became CSX 2601, Class GP38-2, in April 1986. It was sold to Helm as 2601 in 1993 and rebuilt by AMF on June 30, 1994, as SP 170. It became UP 1990, Class GP38-2, on July 16, 2001, and was renumbered 493 on July 17, 2001.

2602, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-3, FN 72604-3, as L&N 4092, Class GP38-2.  It became SBD 4092 in January 1983 and renumbered 2602 in 1984.  It became CSX 2602, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.  It was sold as HLLX 2602 and assigned as SP 4866  It and rebuilt as UP 1992, Class GP38-2, on August 5, 1992.  It was renumbered 492 on January 25, 2005.

2604, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-5, FN 72604-5, as L&N 4094, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4094 in January 1983 and was later renumbered 2604 in 1984. It then became CSX 2604, Class GP38-2, in April 1986. It was sold to Helm as 2604 and rebuilt in January 1996 as SP 4868. It became UP 1994, Class GP38-2, on September 12, 1997, and 494 on October 18, 2005.  It became HLCX 3858 on May 9, 2006.

2606, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-8, FN 72604-8, as L&N 4097, Class GP38-2.  It became SBD 4097 in January 1983 and was later renumbered 2606 in 1984.  It then became CSX 2606, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.  It was sold as Helm 2606 on April 1, 1993, and rebuilt as SP 4870.  It became UP 1996, Class GP38-2, on February 6, 1997, and retired on October 13, 2003.  It became HLCX 3867 in 2003.

2607, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-9, FN 72604-9, as L&N 4098, Class GP38-2.  It became SBD 4098 in January 1983 and was later renumbered 2607 in 1984.  It then became CSX 2607, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.  It was sold to Helm as 2607 and rebuilt on February 24, 1995, as SP 4871.  It became UP 497 on December 17, 2001, and retired on December 27, 2001.  It became HLCX 3876 on January 2, 2002.

2606, Class GP38-2, was built in October 1972, #72604-10, FN 72604-10, as L&N 4099, Class GP38-2. It later became SBD 4099 in January 1983 and later was renumbered 2609 in 1984. It then became CSX 2608, Class GP38-2, in April 1986. In 1993 it was sold to Helm Leasing as 2608, in April 1, 1993. It was rebuilt at Metro Equipment in 1996 as SP 4872, but it was sold as Mexicana de Cobre F11-14 in October 1996.

2619, Class GP38-2, was built in March 1973, #72735-13, FN 72735-13, as L&N 4112, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4112 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2619 in 1984. It later became CSX 2619, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2628, Class GP38-2, was built in March 1973, #72635-7, FN 72635-7, as L&N 4121, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4121 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2628 in 1984. It later became CSX 2628, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2631, Class GP38-2, was built in March 1973, #72635-10, FN 725635-10, as L&N 4124, Class GP38-2.  It became SBD 4124 in January 1983 and renumbered 2631 in 1984.  It became CSX 2631, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2639, Class GP38-2, was built in August 1973, #73631-8, FN 73631-8, as L&N 4132, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4132 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2639 in 1984. It later became CSX 2639, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2640, Class GP38-2, was built in August 1973, #73631-9, FN 73631-9, as L&N 4133, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4133 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2640 in 1984. It later became CSX 2640, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2650, Class GP38-2, was built in September 1973, #73731-3, FN 73731-3, as L&N 4144, Class GP38-2. It became SBD 4144 in January 1983 and was planned 2650 in 1984. It later became CSX 2650, Class GP38-2, in 1986.

2652, Class GP38-2, was built in June 1978, #777132-2, FN 777132-3, as Clinchfield RR 6001. It became SBD 6001 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2652 in 1984. It later became CSX 2652, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2654, Class GP38-2, was built in June 1978, #777132-4, FN 777132-4, as Clinchfield 6003. It became SBD 6003 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2654 in 1984. It later became CSX 2654, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2655, Class GP38-2, was built in June 1978, #777132-5, FN 777132-5, as Clinchfield 6004. It became SBD 6004 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2655 in 1984. It later became CSX 2655, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.

2661, Class GP38-2, was built in April 1979, #786206-4, FN 786206-4, as Georgia RR 6010. It became SBD 6010 in January 1983 and was renumbered 2661 in 1984 . It later became CSX 2661, Class GP38-2, in April 1986.
