610 was built by Lima in June 1927, #7237, as Texas & Pacific 610, Class I-1a.  In 1951 it was donated to Fort Worth Fat Stock Show and transferred in 1968 to David Pearson.  He donated it to 610 Foundation in 1975 who had the engine restored for the American Freedom Train Foundation.  It was leased as Southern 610 in February 1977 and returned to Fort Worth in January 1981.  It was moved to Palestine in January 1987 where it is displayed on Texas State RR. It is too big to run on the line.
